Lived the long distance thing for 4 years, then i lived with her for 2+ years in Germany. I gave up my whole life for her, and even though we loved each other, it just didnt work out. I thought i was going to die, when we left each other at the airport. It was soul crushing heartache. But time heals all wounds, as much as it might be unbelievable now. Just hang in there, and remember that you aren't alone. I am now happliy married with 2 kids, and that previous experience taught me how to love someone, regardless of risks and fears. Its never a bad thing to put your whole heart into it, and someday you will look back and remember it with just an ache and maybe a few fading smiles and memories.

Even after he got with that girl I loved him more. My stomach would tighten every time I saw him with her. I know he knew I loved him. He was always protecting me like he was my bf, his eyes would lighten up every time he saw me. But I knew he didnt love me like that. Tbh, I think I even went through a stage where I would hyperventilate because he was near me. He thought I had asthma. (I'm super fit by the ways, had no idea how he came to that lol). To get over him I did numerous things, I decided I would get to know the girl. I was hoping she was a bitch but she was so sweet and the most kindest heart I have ever known. I told him I was leaving to start again. He looked upset and told me not to. But it's me who I needed to heal, not him. I did something which turned out great for me. I moved to Australia. Interacted with multiple people and fully succumbed to my new home. Over time, I found myself not checking if he's messaged me. I stopped looking at his updates on fb. I eventually stopped thinking about him. I even found out recently that he's had a baby girl with his sweetheart. I was so happy for him. I swear it's the greatest feeling to be "him" free. Yeah, every time I hear this song it reminds me of him. But now I can make peace with it. I'm just happy I didn't get boy hungry and tried to replace him with another guy. Because believe me. That would've drove me insane; To know my new guy wasn't him, wouldn't go down with me so lightly. I stayed single and worked on myself. +Shaybell Harvey It will get better. I moved to another country, following a foreign exchange student that i fell in love with. Lived the long distance thing for 4 years, then i lived with her for 2+ years in Germany. I gave up my whole life for her, and even though we loved each other, it just didnt work out. I thought i was going to die, when we left each other at the airport. It was soul crushing heartache. But time heals all wounds, as much as it might be unbelievable now. Just hang in there, and remember that you aren't alone. I am now happliy married with 2 kids, and that previous experience taught me how to love someone, regardless of risks and fears. Its never a bad thing to put your whole heart into it, and someday you will look back and remember it with just an ache and maybe a few fading smiles and memories.

My husband told me after 15 years together, he didn’t love anymore ... just from one day to another he dropped the bomb. I couldn’t believe those words, I begged him to give us another chance... You walk away without picking yourself back up. leaving all you had to die, leaving you hurt, empty, craving for that person to come back and love you as much as you love them..

I met my first real love , my soulmate st the age of 56 - after 33 yrs of abuse, manipulation, and a controlling marriage . Lewis Wilson aww I'm so sorry to hear. To be very honest with you. It was not easy. I would cry sometimes, well most of the time when he wasn't around. Even after he got with that girl I loved him more. My stomach would tighten every time I saw him with her. I know he knew I loved him. He was always protecting me like he was my bf, his eyes would lighten up every time he saw me. But I knew he didnt love me like that. Tbh, I think I even went through a stage where I would hyperventilate because he was near me. He thought I had asthma. (I'm super fit by the ways, had no idea how he came to that lol). To get over him I did numerous things, I decided I would get to know the girl. I was hoping she was a bitch but she was so sweet and the most kindest heart I have ever known. I then realized she was good for him, which made me upset but more happy. Because I came to learn, if you love someone this much you know for a fact what's good for him/her. I told him I was leaving to start again. He looked upset and told me not to. But it's me who I needed to heal, not him. I did something which turned out great for me. I moved to Australia. Interacted with multiple people and fully succumbed to my new home. Over time, I found myself not checking if he's messaged me. I stopped looking at his updates on fb. I eventually stopped thinking about him. I even found out recently that he's had a baby girl with his sweetheart. I was so happy for him. I swear it's the greatest feeling to be "him" free. Yeah, every time I hear this song it reminds me of him. But now I can make peace with it. I'm just happy I didn't get boy hungry and tried to replace him with another guy. Because believe me. That would've drove me insane; To know my new guy wasn't him, wouldn't go down with me so lightly. I stayed single and worked on myself. I've been able to tell myself that I would eventually find the one. I'm not in any hurry. But what I'm trying to say is, that you need to make peace with her. If she hasn't displayed any type of affection towards you then it's best you move on. This will only escalate to you thinking that she's all you need. Because matter of factly, you are all you need. Yeah when it's right you would know. No one can tell you how to cope, that's the honest truth. No book, no person and yes, most definitely not me. First time I heard this song was after being in depression for 3 months, then I picked myself up but one month later, I relapsed and fell into another depression for almost 2 years. It still hurts, not as much as before, but it is painful,nonetheless.
I am still working on myself, learning to love and appreciate myself better. Although I have days I cry for no reason, just because I feel I've been too strong for so long and it's weighing on me. But I still wipe those tears each time and keep forging on.
Stay strong fellow broken heart, no matter the reason, heartbreak, terminal illness, both, loss of a loved one, etc just know you aren't alone. Lots of love and hugs from me.

I raised my 3 kids as a single mother - worked my tail off in health care, suffered and still suffering financially ( retired due to being disabled) The pain makes me feel so much less of a person!
