Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

DO NOT FALL FOR THE SCAM ACCOUNTS!! They use my photo and claim you've won something but you didn't!!
Damnit, I was so sure you were going to send me a MacBook Pro for free…
There everywere at the moment every farmer RUclips has them.dunno how people fall for it.your name has a tick next to it there's dony
They just delivered the new tractor should I send it away ? 😎
Have you guys thought of doing winter wheat
@MillennialFarmer How do you guys use the dryer and how do the burns work on the dryer and what is the plenum temps mean ?
Said it before and will say it again, Jim is just one awesome person!!!!!!!!
Yep
Despite the economic downturn, I'm so happy😊. I have been earning $ 60,200 returns from my $7,000 investment every 13days.
I'm from Los Angeles , I and two other of my friends tried him immediately we testified his performing wonders
We don't care to hear about all your failed crypto junk on this farm channel
Charles Wilson is a thief and a molester.
Use the drone to inspect the tops of your bins. Beats the heck out of climbing.
I think the editor is getting a lot better at this. The transition from 1 section to another is flawless, and the music isn't blaring at a higher decibel than the talking voices. Give her some extra tonight for a job well done 😉🤣🤣
I agree
Agreed
Tillage man Sam cracks me up. Gotta love Jim out there with no gloves and a true millennial out there with gloves and big coat with hood on. Jim's the tough guy!!! Lol
I like how Jim gets out with wrench and a piece of pipe, he's been there and done that 👍
Jim is part of that generation that works and doesn’t complain! What a true asset to the farm
Jim's generation just waited to complain in the right setting, like when BSing with buddies at the local tavern.
The right stuff is that generation! 🎉
I’ve been trying to work tords not complaining while working and motivation got me to stop complaining while working.
You know if you got yourself a good drone, not only could you get cool shots like this, you could use it to look at the top of grain bins to try and see where corn and soy beans are coming out of when they spring leaks. Then you wouldn't have to constantly climb the bins. You could fly the drone up their and circle it around the top of the bins. And this would be another reason to add photo cells to your lights so they can turn themselves on when it gets dark. It would seem like the Millennial thing to do to have more automatic things like lights and to have a drone.
That is a good idea
That is a awesome idea, hopefully he sees this!
BINGO!!!
Exactly what I was thinking. Drones can do more than just take pics or videos. I use them to inspect the roofs at work. So many purposes and awesome footage during farming.
Also good for chasing coyotes…
A classic. Zach rapping, drone footage and good humour. Happy days. Stay safe.
Zach might just do better at yodeling...just sayin'...
@@mmurphy2317 not sure about that. If I remember correctly his family is of Scandinavian decent rather than Swiss??
You are a better farmer and RUclipsr than a singer. LOL, Great video. Thanks for taking me along.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙄
As many folks have mentioned already... great drone footage! Awesome seeing those John Deere machines in action.
Shoulda used the drone to check the bin tops for the leaks
I would like to see more of your great drone footage in the future. It is another new era of video.
I'm glad to know that your dad is still keeping things in order around that farm when those picks go up to $200 a piece and he's making a executive decision to not buy is legendary that's what you call sustainability at its finest, spending willy-nilly is definitely undesirable in his eyes thank God for Dad
Cruising down the field in my ranger was 🔥
You took my comment lol
Nice filming, nice editing, nice supporting cast, nice music choices…simply an excellent video.
watching for a few years now and really awesome to watch different harvests from year to year. After last year, you all deserve an easy time with it, especially with the crazy spring and the late planting.
It is really great you have your dad around to be involved in the farming. Those days slip by far to quickly - so enjoy them all you can. Looks like a great day of harvest.
I’m glad harvest is going well for you. Balances out the difficult start to the year with the storm.
I’m glad you guys are catching a bit of a break with harvest this year!
Great drone footage! Really enjoyed that. Glad harvest is going so smoothly for you guys!
Kudos to Mrs millennial she put together a great video . After a crappy spring with all the damage and such it's great to see you guys are having a great fall harvest 👍
What a day, Zach. It's genuinely so cool to see you, Onyx, and your dad working the family farm. I know how hard the jobs are, but you're so fortunate to be able to work with your family and that wonderful crew, I'm jealous. I always love your drone footage and seeing Anna (the farm boss) riding with you to check on the fields. Ray reminds me a lot of the only cat we ever had. He was raised with 2 Newfoundland and a Great Pyr, and those 3 dogs were terrified of that little beast. Hope the harvest continues to go well for you all. Thanks so much for sharing these amazing inside farming videos.
Zach it's great that you and your family are having such a nice harvest well deserved! great channel 🚜🇺🇲
I so enjoy you and your dad interaction when making the farming decisions even when you do not agree Zack. You have a wonderful dad and let him know from a south central Minnesota old farmer. Hey Jim where is the Kyle Larson shirt???? Blessing in diguese dryer shutting down and hauling directly from the field.
Enjoying this video Zach from my hospital bed in the VA Hospital. I had surgery this morning and they kept me in. Thank you much for the uplifting video. Sir
The drone shots were a super slick addition to this video, glad y’all are having a smooth harvest!
Jim is a great addition to the videos and farm.
You guys take good care of your employees it’s really good to see Love the video keep up the good work
I havent seen a good ol' montage for a while, glad to see they're back! Awesome job guys, with the farming and the video production.
LOL the kitten walks in front of you so you will picked him/her up. Love all your animals. You all do such a great job. God Bless all of you.
You made that interesting, Zach (and Becky). Thanks for fine production - enjoyed the music segments too!
Zach, the clip starting @ 15:14 is some of your best video work of late, period. Great footage (kudos to Kibble Man Sam), great track, just really enjoyable!!
You make shifting gears on that truck look so easy!! Flashbacks from my days hauling corn to Aurora SD, wheat and beans to Mankato and fertilizer from St Paul... Grind it till you find it was the way we started off, but doing combine hauls down to Texas could get me close to how good you shift that truck.. Oversize loads were the worst when you missed your gear.
Love this time of year.. The videos keep coming in and all about harvest. Simply the best🎶
Great music video with the drone! Glad harvest is moving fast for you.
love the drone shots as you run, the channel keeps getting better well done sir
Loved the drone footage. Would love to see more. Unfortunately the farmers here in Australia are dealing with 100yr floods weeks out from harvesting.
Well Zach I’d say you have been blessed this harvest so far.. the storms took out some storage capacity at the farm but the corn has been dry enough out of the field to go to the plant.
Thanks another good video I hate heights also. Its been a wierd harvest here in the PNW also silage corn is almost all off and most of it was done with no rain keep safe.
Drone footage is amazing, person that ran it did a great job. Always enjoy the content, keep buying green machines! hope the harvest goes safe! Best wishes from Moline Illinois home of John Deere.
It’s really nice to see a planter work with zero issues, it’s one of a kind, Good luck with your harvest
Really cool to watch this crew work together.
I love to see your videos. I am from Milwaukee Wisconsin. I love when your kids work with you. It’s so nice.
Love your channel! Takes me back to WC MN which I left 50 years ago. Awesome!
Your dad and Jim is a great help around the farm
Thanks for another great video.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Wow. What a harvest you are having. Weather is good and really excellent moisture corn. Not bad at all.
Probably a good decision to run the ripper knives a bit longer due to the big rocks and the cost of the knives. Either you or your dad said around two hundred a piece. Wow. Highway prices it seems.
That rock Jim turned up was a big one.
Seems funny your dryer not running all the time. Low moisture corn is easy on the pocket book also in propane fuel.
Unusual harvest.
Becky you did a beautiful job on the drone shots and the music and showing harvest and farming in Minnesota. Good job Becky!!!!!!!
No big breakdowns. Keep your fingers crossed. Ya!!!!!!’
About it for now I guess. You all take care and be safe.
Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks for everything Zach and Becky.
The Iowa farm boy.
Steve.
Zach this video was awesome!! You're a millennial. You need a drone too. The Mavic Air 3 can track you as you work. Ya know like a 2nd wife, and you can fly up to inspect your bin roofs without a safety harness. Props to Mrs. Millennial for the awesome editing. So glad you are catching a break on harvest.
Great video. Love it when you pull the drone out and get some great harvest footage.
Zach love the drone footage and that 15% was outstanding dryer out of grain it's going Zach no problems is even better.
More drone footage man! That was sweet. Glad harvest is going smooth for yall. 🤙
Here in NW Illinois, we haven't found any 15% corn yet, except for the first 60 acre patch had some up on the sandy ridge along the timber. The batch dryer at the main farm is done for the year, and the wet bin is full with air on, ready to be ground to hog feed.
We have less than 150 acres to go, and the crop will be in for the year.
Zack I have been a fan of your video for about 2 years now and I am at the airport going to navy boot camp right now. Keep up the good work and keep posting videos I might not be able to see them for a about 8 weeks but there is a lot of people that love them.
Best farm channel on RUclips!!! Thanks for the content!
i would love to see more drone shots that was awesome, great video!
I'm so glad your having a good harvest it's about time especially after having a couple of bad years with weather ect during harvest
nice that this year finally has a pleasant surprise with corn moisture!
Love the channel zac, moved away from farm work in my mid 20s now 38 still miss the long long days in the fields nothing like it but good to be able watch how things move on over the years through social media and how you guys do things over there compared to the uk. Ps it was good to see some drone footage as well, would love to see more of that 👍 that would push the subscribers up for sure 🤔 can’t wait to see Arna get her ride finally 😎.
Thanks for the reply I emailed you 👍
@@andypandy9184 The comment you replied to is a scammer bot. They are very common on youtube and so far impossible to stop.
Yeah sort of guessed it was lol
In Europe we had a dry stretch of weather and finished harvest rather quickly. Seeded wheat and barley, but we don't have moisture. We pray for rain.
Where in Europe are you? Here in center Germany we get plenty of rain right now. All the winter crops are poking their heads.
@@egomania2792 Eastern Europe - Bulgaria. We haven't had rain in October. Maybe 2-3L total.
Helps on the Budget ! Things are looking good ! Prep Cost is Down , things are moving .
Glad to hear y'all are having an easy harvest so far. Y'all deserve it after everything this year.
i love Jim!! hes such a sport.
With all the years of battling he harvest, so pleased you've had a good one.
Thanks for sharing your story with us enjoy watching how the harvest goes
Our CHS elevator started dumping corn on the ground this wkend in SE MN - bins must be full already. We had no rain for a couple wks. so they had great weather conditions. Almost 80 degrees in mid-Oct. this wkend. Now it's around 60 and some on and off lt. rain today - Monday - 10-24. Good time to do maintenance and get some rest.
Kudos to Becky for the wonderful editing!!!
She's one of the best!
Cat needs a ride at 1 million
Yup cat and dog. They been waiting 🤣
Great video sir , and I glad to see that harvest is going well .
Hey I own a 2021 Ford Ranger pickup. Mine is red and a 4x4, I am a 70 year old woman from Iowa and am going through my second childhood. I enjoy you sharing your day with me. Take care now.
Awesome harvest this year compared to the blow-down you guys had last year.
Yep! No running a 22 inch header across the rows this year! Wahoo! Glad you guys are having an easier go of it. Love the drone footage too!
I was driving down I94/I90 this morning at about 0530... it was dark... and raining... and my driver side tire rear blew out its sidewall unexpectedly.
I got out of my vehicle after matriculating it over to the side of the freeway as far as it seemed safe.
Looked at the torn up sidewall, used some choice adjectives.... and then asked myself... "WWZD?" What Would Zack Do?
So I broke out the jack and tire irons from the back of the cab...
pulled the full size spare tire out from under the vehicle...
put the jack under the vehicle... jacked it up high enough to get the wheel off
cracked the torque on the lugs and spun them off...
wrestled the torn up wheel off the hub...
wrestled the spare wheel onto the hub...
spun the lugs back on and torqued them down to as tight as my kicked boot would let me...
lowered the jack and threw everything in the back of the vehicle...
All in the dark.... in the rain... on the side of the freeway... with tractor trailer rigs going by at 70 mph.
WWZD... inspiration and determination... always somethin.
😆
that sky view of combining very cool. Gives a since all that going on.
Thank you for these videos. Helps me smile after a long day. 🥰
In all the years I’ve watched is that the first rap I’ve heard from Zak I think so I’m not going to lie I kinda wanna hear more 😂👍
That was some excellent drone footage. Is Kibble man Sam an evolution? Like Charmeleon to Charizard or something?
What a blessing for harvest to go well after the storm damage in the spring. It’s been dry again much of the last two months here in Minnesota.
Has anyone baled up corn stalks to use to burn to dry corn? Maybe Farm Show magazine has someone doing it?
Love the drone shots and music. Need more of that! 😀
Been dragging at work but now that I have an MN Millennial Farmer video to watch, my day is better!
Great video! Love the music you injected in this one, what was it, how can I get the full song?? I’m glad things are going smoother now. You dealt with enough bs in the past, time to catch a break! Thanks for the effort to share this with us. 🚜
Music is fairly easily found by adding an app like Shazam...if you do so...when you hear music you like...tap the Shazam button ...wait a few...sometimes several... seconds...and you will often get a tune name along with the Artist's/group name ...some returns will be from Apple's catalogue...and in order to obtain the tune for your listening pleasure you might have to make an co- incidental purchase from them! Most, if not all YT hits seem to be available here/there...
@@mmurphy2317 I did try to Shazam it but it couldn’t come up with an anything. Because of copyright laws they probably used their own song. 🤷🏼♂️
Jim is just like our Truck Driver Dwayne Aka. Smokey. He is one good guy and great to be around and hang out with. Jim reminds me a lot of Smokey. Very very similar
The drone shots were cool should do more of them especially during planting season
I love your videos and your farming videos keep up the good work man
Maybe Ray was trying to say wanted a ride in tractor!
For the shear bolts on the ripper shanks, when they wedge up at the top instead of loosening that big bolt which is quite a pain, it's easier to carry a chain in the tractor. Loop it around the shank right above the point, throw it under the nearest tire, then get in the tractor and back up. It'll pull it right down and once it hits the bottom it'll slide the chain under the wheel.
Always wanted to get into farming (really just wanted a tractor growing up). Just got myself into Farming Simulator 22 (videos coming soon). Appreciate your channel, your enthusiasm, your ability to teach, and for you showing the pros/cons of farming. Good luck!!
Zack, you gotta let Rheannon run the grain cart and have Onyx run the combine next year, then you and your wife can watch the kids do the harvest work 😉
It's Zach, not Zack
UTUBE will flag take down videos if Kids are too young . Farm Fixing & Fabricating UTube pulled down alot of Andy's Videos. His 2 daughters still run equipment in videos but his youngest son Andrew not shown driving equipment anymore on camera. ALL Kids hard working all aspects of farming and repairing, maintaining equipment.
@@stephenkennedy9322 It's RUclips, not UTube.
Also your comment is out of hand and needs to be removed.
You have just about 1 million subscribers watching you farm !!!!
You are bound by responsibility to wear a harness when you’re up on top of the bin!!!
No exceptions be safe and lead by example because you owe it to your subscribers!!!
Always interesting to see how big grain operations work. I'm much much smaller scale and different crops but I also do the "evil tillage"
I wish I could hang out with Jim. He reminds me of my grandpa, who passed in 2002. I miss him so much all the time.
when i was in basic training i was standing in a formation for inspection. a sky rat flew over the company which was at attention waiting to be inspected. for a recruit this was a serious event. the inspecting officer was two recruits down from me when that gull took a dump and it landed on my shoulder. the officer heard it hit and held back a chuckle. i was hit for foreign debris on my uniform and i did an hour or so of workouts until i barfed. to this day i hate sky rats with a passion lol
🤣🤣 that's a BT story if I ever heard one!!
One the best produced (edited) vids! Well done!!!
Love the drone footage of the combines, you should do more of it.
I have a cat just like that. Clingy as ever until he’s busy then he doesn’t care much.
I been thinking about the 1mil subscriber mark when Anna gets a tractor ride are you gona just name your golden play button Anna and tell us you gave Anna a ride.
I'm happy your having good luck with this harvest considering the bad luck with the storm. You deserve a break. (Goes to make some popcorn)
The def tank cap was hanging off. Great video Zach and Becky most of all. Thank you
Hey man love your vids
Let’s get him to a million subs guys I wanna see that big dog go for a tractor ride lol
In rural Vermont a lunch box is called a dinner bucket. Also an upscale home has a two holler. No waiting.
Should have a drone to check the cover on Jim's DEF tank. 😁
Love the vids I wish I worked on your farm
At 1 million subscribers Ray needs a ride in a tractor.
Glad harvest is going well for you guys in MN! 20:45 you forgot to put the cap on the def tank😂 happy harvest from Ohio!
How much effort you have made again for this video, just great. You should make more videos like this! You have a very rare talent and your videos are also always so beautifully edited, you really have an extraordinary talent for RUclips, thank you that I can watch your videos and learn something!😉👍👍👍🤩😍
