How can the strings withstand all of that force on them in the vocals frame? I'm a newb at guitar so forgive me if I just sounded stupid. Keyboards more my thing and the keys can withstand a lot of force like that. I'm asking because any prior experience I had with acoustic guitar, I always felt like hitting the strings too hard or too fast could snap them. Am I missing something?
That's depend's on strings' quality.
You're not missed, just some lost knowledge.
Since you're specialization is keyboard (I guess electronic one) this isn't fault.
Guitar strings, especially the metal ones, are really strong, you can see when someone's stringing a new one, they strech a lot!
Tail870 Yes, I specialize in electronic keyboard. But I can play a baby grand as well. Anything that's volume doesn't depend on a pedal is good enough for me xD

Sabrina Choirunnisa no, if you look closely he's not using a pick, he's using his nails. You can't use just your fingers on most guitars and produce that sound
