Seems an age since your last vlog!!! Love love that Bianca pattern, not seen that one before. Also love Sezane. Never bought anything, been close though. Love french clothes. ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧
Awesome into. Did you design it? I love the fabrics you chose. FYI, I like to know the fabric content of them as well. For the Sophia dress/top, I think of this as a summer pattern because so much skin is showing. With that in mind I like the short sleeved with the flouncy sleeves with no peplum best; It's soft and feminine looking. Though I do like the peplum but would make it longer; I think the proportions may look better. I like it when you ask questions, it says to me you'd like my input. I always have lots of comments and options but don't want to overstep my input. For strong elastic I have some but don't know where I purchased it. Googling it I found on Amazon some by lustatus - 1" wide "heavy stretch with high elasticity." I would LOVE a video on fitting. I don't like sewing for myself because I do need a lot of adjustments and I just don't seem to get them right. I'd much rather sew for others because I can SEE what adjustments need to be made.
Yes it is hard to see adjustments on yourself! Well my fitting so far is picking the right size to begin with so you have to make the easiest adjustment possible or the least amount of adjustments but sometimes that is still hard! I think in a dark fabric with long sleeves I would wear the Sofia top in the fall/winter but it definitely does have a really fun flirty feel for summer and would probably shine really well that way! Love your idea for it! You should try it!!! It is a lovely pattern with lots of options🙌🏻
Oh sorry forgot to see that I didn’t design the intro! We had it made by someone and I also will try to list the content more often! All of those were viscose or denim/spandex I believe
I am with you on not wanting to sew for the kid when they grow so fast! I made mine a pair of denim overalls that he was so excited about, wore them a couple times and I'm pretty sure there too small now..
Great video ❤️ thanks for sharing! You inspire me so much that I am planning to take my sewing to next level, but I am always daunted by fabric hauls. I am always scared to buy so much fabric. It mostly comes to the amount money I have to spend on them. Do you have any suggestions on how to buy fabric? Like should we look for clearance/sale? Do some stores have better pricing than other? It would be great if you can share any experiences you have ❤️
Oh good suggestions! Yes, I usually stick with quality more than price, that being said, if I want to check on the quality a store keeps in stock, then I will just order like one or two pieces of fabric and then maybe wait until they have a sale?? But i typically don’t like to pay shipping more than once so if I like a lot of pieces I will get them all at the same time, i had already heard that the quality from this store was great! I used to be only about the price but i ended up with fabric I didn’t like too much or garments I didnt like because of the quality of the fabric....that’s just a little info for now!! Glad you liked the video!
I was going to ask the same question. The few things I've learn so far is to buy cotton jersey instead of rayon jersey, for rayon purchase a rayon twill, and that the weight of fabrics, especially in wovens, is really important. I don't buy light weight fabrics any more because they are, more often than not, flimsy and cheap looking. Light weight jersey, Lycra & knits are hard to sew and show all under garment seams.
I love al the fabrics but especially the cream and black ditsy. Fab 👌🏼
Oh thank you!!! I love that one too!!!
