Technical University of Mombasa is the only University in an Island.
I am so proud of my school because it offers quality education and has wide career fields in Engineering, business, Tourism, Medicine and social sciences.
It was formerly known as Mombasa Institute of Muslim Education in the late 1940's Yes its old.
It was later called Mombasa Technical Institute in 1966, so as to include all students despite the religion or race.
Ten years down the line it was renamed Mombasa Polytechnic being ranked the 2nd National Polytechnic in Kenya after the Nairobi poly.
in 2013 it was established as a University officially as Technical University of Mombasa.
