- Machine Gun Kelly interviewed on syndicated radio show Rover's Morning Glory for nearly an hour on the morning of the release of Lace Up, his full-length debut album on Bad Boy / Interscope records.

I don't understand why so many people from Cleveland hate on him. Whether he's from here or not, at least he stands up for our city in the first place.
People can’t stand to see someone more successful then them specially other musicians in the same music scene. I was in the music scene for years in my town and it was crazy how other musicians are cool with you one minute then all of the sudden they hatin on u. It’s always one of a few different things you start playing shows with a band ur all homies then they start to get a little bigger and they act like they are so much better than you like they are rock stars because they opened up for a national band that nobody has cared about for 15 years or you start to get offered the bigger better shows and other bands hate that ur doing better than them. I’ve helped some bands that went from not being able to play a show anywhere to getting them shows at the best club in town and introduced them to radio hosts so they get their music on the radio then a year later they act like they don’t know you I wasn’t like that people helped me so I wanted to help out all the new cool bands because I knew how hard it was when you don’t know anyone, I would help bands from out of town get shows it was just a cool thing to do helping everyone you could. Don’t get me wrong there was a lot of love but some bands just acted like they deserved respect and they were in the same boat as all of us they were not better or worse. The funny thing was when you play shows out of town or play shows to people that were not in bands you got more love. Yeah it’s a competition but I never understood being jealous because a band is doing better I thought that was awesome to see bands doing great I always complement bands even if a band was super small but had great songs or they had a really talented member I always would say “man that new song you guys played tonight was amazing way better than anything my band has done”.
I don’t understand how so many “normal” people from Cleveland still support this self proclaimed pedo.

@@Greatlakeskyle. limp bizkit has never been cool they didn’t last more then a few years. Even when some negative shit comes out about limp bizkit people don’t even care enough to talk shit about them the story is gone in one day. Good or bad press if people can’t stop talking about you it’s because ur that good.

I live in and I'm from Baltimore. My weed man would always say he sold to MGK when he was passing though . I thought he was talking shit until I popped over his crip and saw MGK and Blackbear sitting in the kitchen rolling the fastest J I've ever seen. MGK was the most down to earth and nicest dude I've ever met. Most feel let down after meeting there heros. Not me!

I loved Rover's comment about the clothing stores clerks because it is so true. That's like in the mall even though I never wear much from Hot Topic they are just one of my favorite store because the clerks don't judge you no matter who you are because they are proud to be themselves and don't mind when other people are themselves. It is also quiet funny because there is always little girls that walk by and don't want to go in because it too "scary".

Anyone can name an album with a couple songs but until it's a record label then it's not a true album. iTunes isn't multiple stores. It's an online music store where anyone can name an album and sell songs by submitting it. So technically, it is his first TRUE album.
