I just went through a Category 2 Hurricane (NW Florida) and have seen a tremendous amount of trees down all over but not as bad compared to Ivan about 15 years ago. We fared well this time compared to Ivan. A week before the storm I had new roofs put on my home and a rental across the street. Both had no roof problems. There is just something soothing about watching your videos. Thanks for sharing.
Man, I just love when you take two angles shots on the same tree fell, like at 17:39 with the two toothed digger. Awesome ! At first, it seemed a "small" job there but, man, it's a huge job site !!
I noticed playing the video at double speed, that when the bucket is grasping something and moving it around the machine makes a low frequency growling sound much like a puppy playing with a heavy toy, but only when you are picking something with the bucket and the thumb, kind of neat.
Hey Chris, If there's going to be blasting work done - you might want to talk to whoever is going to do it to see if they want any dirt saved to cover the blast area. No flying rocks that way. Jim in Phoenix.
I called Karen and asked if it would be ok to burn. She's not sure. Wants to know if you will be carrying any fire around in the bucket. :) :) Good to see Tim is still around. LOVE the videos.
Chris i’m really surprised that for how neat, organized and how nice you keep your equipment and trucks you haven’t hard wired the transfer pump to the auxiliary switch bank on the dashboard, nothing like just flipping the switch and filling up the machines. Great job your doing by the way!
That tuff tree reminds me of what we call Hackberry up north here. It is the most stringy tuff pain in the back side stuff and the root systems they put down are incredible. Find alot in hedge rows and over grown fields. They do get large on occasion bit seem to stay 12 to 18" for the most part.
Talking about Surveyor etc, upthe hill from me they missed underground river/spring not sure? But a few years later 4/5 houses literally slid downhill into street below and took out 5 houses....Took 10 yes or so to settle claims against developer.... Was it hid or did they miss it? I never found out.....
@Deplorable Centrist Unfortunately from what I understand, there are some people that knew it was there but information didn't transfer from one or several Generations prior too the current Folks in 1985 who got hit with multiple law suite's.... Thanks for your information, probably spot on.
I just had a construction crew dig out a lot next to me. They didn't put out any barrier wall. I got mud every where. Plus the crew got into my yard and took out my french drain. After watching Chris dig, I'm spoiled. Eaglegards...
Well Chris you about got it done you cleared a lot of land in that one day but anyway brother you and John and if Tim was out there y’all stay safe and keep them coming.
One of the last sites we did the geniouses that laid out the tree protection fence had it going right down the middle of the lanes for the townhouses. They had the buildings surveys and laid out when they put it up to. We were trying to keep it up as long as possible until we were working towards that corner doing water main and realized the water main went beyond the fence and the road was another 10 feet beyond that. She got ripped out, lol
They have a system in the city I live in where residents can bring in branches and tree scraps that they turn into mulch that's free to take. Do they have something similar for businesses like this? Just wondering what happens to all of the excess branches and brush that he doesn't have a place to burn.
@@peteysquirrelchaser9028 Chris doesn't like dealing with stumps. Prefers to clear standing timber so he can see where they are and has leverage to uproot the tree.
Love watching your videos Chris. Can’t understand why there are thumbs down on your videos but it seems to be about the same amount on each one. Probably the same people who call the fire fighters out on you when you are burning shrub lol.
Would a Cat 963 be beneficial for you? I fell like on these clearing jobs one with a big grapple would be perfect to move stuff. But I guess you usually load out the same day. Just curious is all.
In their defense, in a small way, their greenery will convert some CO2 to O2, as do all plants.. Even junk trees have some merit in making breathable Oxygen, and sequestering Carbon in wood. The wood looks to be very brittle.. no good for building with.
Not necessarily. I thought they did a great job getting the dam core replaced. That mud they pushed out will go downhill and be absorbed into the pasture.
As thick as that job is with wood I’d think you might have been better off to get a grinding company “Simmions” to come grind and haul the mulch off. All you gotta do is pile and leave to stumps to one side of the pile
Great job again Chris, it must seem never ending. That’s some log and brush pile. Take care and be safe, great to see Timmy again!! Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍

The owners going to need deep pockets to get this site built!
Every time you scratch a rock is another price increase for the job.
Lot's of rock to blast we have to see that episode.
I don’t think he does blasting.
It chops it slices it dices it has interchangeable blades (buckets). The Volvo clearomatic model 220 can do it all....
Roflmao 😂
Ready for late night "Paid Programming" 👍
Johnny Holland sponsored by YourFavorite Let’sdig18 fans!
That’s good tree juice!

@25:45 Chris makes a statement about his success to date: Nailing it. Lol
Hope your sister and her students are all doing well.

Great job! love to see the finished project in 12 months
Because of all the tree felling you do, have you ever considered installing a FOPS on your cab? Might not only save you but your cab too.
Ol Cottontop be jealous of your log pile. Lol Both ya’ll world class good fellas.

I take that tank in and out of the truck alot

I wonder if the surveyors knew about all that bed rock being there.

If you look at the shot at 7:30 and realize that in the head of the guy in the seat he's thinkin' "let's dig!!"... f'kn priceless!!!! Go Chris!!!
You reckon it smells like about a million of those little "hang on the mirror air fresheners" after crunching up all those tree tops?
Nah, those don't even compare.
I just had a construction crew dig out a lot next to me. They didn't put out any barrier wall. I got mud every where. Plus the crew got into my yard and took out my french drain. After watching Chris dig, I'm spoiled. Eaglegards...
Take them to small claims court.
I would give them the chance to fix things first
That snap @ 3:22 sounds cool with a lot of bass 😉
Hurricane Chris knockin down trees! Love it!

Awesome job, dam you could build a log cabin with all them logs.
Notch the ends and you would have life size "Lincoln Log" set to play with.
You're having way too much fun there! Can I have a turn?
That difficult tree looks like a mountain ash. Especially the way it snapped off.
First day of FALL , cool one indeed Thanks for your Videos.

Great video Chris thanks for sharing have a great day and stay safe out there
Good shot landing that tree on the stump👍
Dang!!
What a brush fire it would be,
with all these branches.
The legend himself. 👍 great work. Stay healthy and safe from Alberta 🇨🇦
Your Volvo is one heck of a machine Rips up those with no problem 👍☕️🍀
If you would have bought a bigger bucket you could break that 4” limb! LOL
At about 12.30 I was thinking, man that hydro oil noise is bad on the swing, then realised it was the dude with the chainsaw outside....doh!!
I might have missed it. But, how do you determine which trees you will take down with the stumper and which ones you will just use the bucket on?
Need a forestry head for the skidsteer and mulch the tops onsite.
A feller-buncher-limber might be a good investment for Chris considering how much tree work he does.
@@peteysquirrelchaser9028 Chris doesn't like dealing with stumps. Prefers to clear standing timber so he can see where they are and has leverage to uproot the tree.
Little cool here too, 28* this morning in Westfield Massachusetts 🤪
Same in Granby, CT
I’ll keep my 49 degree morning in Anderson S.C.
Oooh twins!!
Binge watching trying to do catch up!!
Could you please explain about the logs and what you are doing with them?
Great job looking very good. U can tell u hauled ass in this day. Thank u Chris.
Now think if you could make a BIG burnpile, and burn all the brush....
That would be a HUGE fire.
Yeah, but Karen would call the fire department on him again
Lol I was thinking the same thing.
Such a professional excavator operator rolling them trees on the side of the boom into position for the fell
I think that bushy tree that was hard to break up was a Locust.
That thumb on that machine is nice for clearings 👍🏿
I can not let go of that the digger looks like a nice dinosaur, munching on trees.
World’s greatest operator!
Idk about the best. Hes pretty smooth though
VOLVO HUNGRY!!!! WANT MORE TREES!!
Love watching your videos Chris. Can’t understand why there are thumbs down on your videos but it seems to be about the same amount on each one. Probably the same people who call the fire fighters out on you when you are burning shrub lol.
Looks Like Black Locust or Black Walnut, either are great burning wood
Is the aggravating trees hickory? They have yellow wood & are stringy.
You should have a 6' root rake attachment.
NICE JOB WELL DONE.
Thats a lot of pine
Tree protection fence? In what way does that fence protect the trees?
That first tree would make good beams
Oh...you finished cutting the logs up...here take the camera and film me clearing the site!!!
Watching for years first job site to have a rock lol
Keep on slicken er up buddy
Enjoyed this video bro. Y'all stay safe
what is the biggest boulder that the 220 can remove? Can the machine just scoot the boulder around?
@25:50 or so... Nice landing... Do it again.👍👍
Viewing a video after a handfull of secs of upload. :D
First Immovable Boulders and Now unbreakable Trees I feel for You Chris
At around 25 minutes two critters of some sort go scurrying up the tree trunk. Can't tell what they are though.
There going for a ride. LOL
i have no idea what those are. Would be curious to find out. He must of hit a nest.
I can't be the only one upset we didn't get a "Rock Rock" joke outta all that rock at the beginning can I? lol
Would a Cat 963 be beneficial for you? I fell like on these clearing jobs one with a big grapple would be perfect to move stuff. But I guess you usually load out the same day. Just curious is all.
Sounds like it's a stubborn Locust tree
Very good job man .
Sure was a bunch of trees. Shame you practically have to give the logs away. Making progress.
From what I can see it looks like an Elm tree. That's what I call them here in TX. I'm not a fan of them either!
I agree. Tough as old boot leather, smallish leaves, splinters like dammit, yep my guess would be elm.
Chris did you ever think about buying a grinder for on site grinding
Enjoyed watching the video Chris 😅
Volvo 220 is Begging for Work and can’t wait to sink it’s teeth into any tree up for a challenge.😬👍
Darn basswood is tough stuff!
Now you know way no one built on this lot before. All the rock.
Lars Larson no one knew the rock was there until they started digging, ill bet
👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🙏🏻 Enjoyed, nice job....you got a lot done in a couple days!
You said blasting 😆 🤣
Demolition Dave just sayen.
Thanks for the great video Chris 👏👏👏🙂🙂🍺🍺🇬🇧
I could tell your OCD was kicking in until you got all that brush stacked up
He benefits from his OCD, it helps him do it so pretty where he has been working.
Curious if you would be interested in coming to Wisconsin to build a pond asking for a unkle
Dang you gotta turn them to toothpicks to bring those down huh? Tough stuff
U work good work as making a trail pile man
Those trees at the beginning are called North Carolina weed trees, useless, pain in ass, hard to get rid of,worth nothing.great video as always.👍👍👍😎😎😎
In their defense, in a small way, their greenery will convert some CO2 to O2, as do all plants.. Even junk trees have some merit in making breathable Oxygen, and sequestering Carbon in wood. The wood looks to be very brittle.. no good for building with.
Can you show a close up of the leaves & the trunk bark? Iron wood or black locust?
Alan L. Simmons I was thinking Locust
Logger Wade would be impressed.
Chris u should buy a scorpion King to cut the trees down and haul them to the saw Mill and make money from them
Someone just said that lumber prices have about doubled. If you can send all those logs to a lumber mill, it might be a good thing.
yet timber prices are in the dumps. I just dont get it
@@letsdig18 it's the mill that's making all the cash. The timber owners get owned. The end seller gets rich
Nice videos as always.
Well done.
Watching this video, I can just smell the Pine when you are creating that huge pile of brush to load out.
obetheduck too bad they cant burn it- I love a good brush burn video by Chris.
I like to watch when you shoot from in the cab.Makes you feel like you're in the machine.Great videos as always.
ok he got the new to him 160 and AMI bucket and (LD18) thumb for it. what and when did i miss him changing out his 160 to a 220?
Snap crackle and pop, down they go.
I just watched Dirt Perfects last 2 videos. Looked like a disaster that letsdig18 would have to come back later and fix
Are you referring to the one where he pushes the mud thru the dam? If so I thought so to.
Not necessarily. I thought they did a great job getting the dam core replaced. That mud they pushed out will go downhill and be absorbed into the pasture.
chris...... you need/should put 30 seconds or more of Winston @ your tail end...... everyone wants to see Winston!!!!!!
I assume this isn't a balanced site? How much do you need to haul off?
As thick as that job is with wood I’d think you might have been better off to get a grinding company “Simmions” to come grind and haul the mulch off. All you gotta do is pile and leave to stumps to one side of the pile
rather make money myself than pay them to do it
Cottontop3 would be impressed with pile of logs.
that tree may be a elm brakes up like one anyway
Hey Chris, are you still happy with your dewalt greaser, Dirt Perfect has been bad mouthing his just as I was going to buy one.
I hated mine it sucked
Thanks, what did you buy?
