Hi Bob , i have one doubt regarding PGA . lets assume we have 8 back end servers. first 2 of the assigned pga is less than 3 , next two is 2 , and next two is 1 and last two web servers are default, so if we enabled pga is less 3 , then how the traffic flow. as per my understaning frst servers with 3 pga will serve traffic , if it fails then it goes to 2 and if it is fails , it goes to 1..am i right ?
Hi, a little less precise, I can infer that you have configured: **Priority Group Activation --> less than 3 **2 servers (let's say 1.1.1.1 and 2.2.2.2) --> have Priority Group 3 **2 servers (let's say 3.3.3.3 and 4.4.4.4) --> have Priority Group 2 **2 servers (let's say 5.5.5.5 and 6.6.6.6) --> have Priority Group 1 **2 servers (let's say 7.7.7.7 and 8.8.8.8) --> have Priority Group 0/default. Correct me if i wrong. Due to You have configured PGA less than 3 that's mean only 3 servers with the highest Priority Group will serve the traffic. So that's mean only servers 1.1.1.1, 2.2.2.2, 3.3.3.3 will serve the traffic but due servers 3.3.3.3 and 4.4.4.4 have the same Priority Group (2), so the traffic will served to 4 servers which are 1.1.1.1, 2.2.2.2, 3.3.3.3, and 4.4.4.4. Last, how if 2 servers with IP 1.1.1.1 and 2.2.2.2 have Priority Group 3 it fails? The results are servers 3.3.3.3, 4.4.4.4, 5.5.5.5, and 6.6.6.6 will serve the traffic.
