Thank you so much for reading my story, Creeps. On a Hill is very long, so I really appreciate the time you must have had to put into this one. Your reading was fantastic, and thank you to all of those who've left kind comments about my writing, it makes it all worthwhile :) ~ Mike
This was truly another amazing tale. I loved reading the story so much when it came out. Then was even more pleased when I seen that Creeps took the time and effort to do a reading for this one with the length of it. Keep up the amazing work. Can't wait to read the next one you come up with.
Sorry this is a day late guys! But as you can see from the length you can probably understand why. XD If you make it to the end, treat yourself to a cookie and tell me what you thought of it!
I know I'm not the only who nearly died of happiness whenever I saw how long this was, because that would be impossible considering how many people we have on Earth but, Creeps, you have no idea how much I appreciate and love you for this ^_^!!!!!! I always feel like 5 minute pastas are too short but I'm always excited about long pastas

i feel like i should be paying for this story, its so good. Like I would buy this as a short book. it even feels like a movie. hell, it would probably make a fantastic movie. is this really a creepypasta? the quality is so high. With all the crap thats on there, its surreal to think this was on there as well. Fantastic story. And Creeps, fantastic reading of it. you always do well, and really know how to convey voices and speak clearly. But you dont oversaturate it. Absolutely one of the best creepypastas in existence. It's refreshing to both listen to a story that is well written, and also isn't a spinoff or stupid cliche plot, but a brilliant original concept. I highly recommend you dedicate a full two hour chunk to just getting this story over with. I've been dragging my feet for a couple of months on whether I really wanted to dedicate the time to it (as once I start listening, I can't stop until I'm done), but now that I've listened to it, I can absolutely say that this is one of the only 1+ hour creepypastas worth your time, with Penpal and 1999 being the only others that come to mind. Listen to it. Trust me. You won't regret it.
It's been ages since I've heard this one. I don't remember when I started listening to you, but it's been a great time so far. Thank you for all the wonderful stories and all the help falling asleep. It's wild to think that a man I've never met and may never meet has had such a profound impact on my life. It's so much harder to fall asleep without one of your narrations.
I love this story; excellently crafted, and well narrated. The music was quite fitting, particularly the piece in the end. Well done Creeps, and thank you Mike W.
Damn buses always running late... You just can't trust them to ever be on time! Oh well, I'm sure his bus arrived just after he finished recounting this blood-curdling tale. If he thinks that nonsense about being unable to leave then I guess I'll just have to go and take some pictures on that hill to prove there's nothing to worry over!
As I have matured as a CreepyPasta listener and writer (I am now at the point where I can fall asleep not only listening to Jeff the Killer, but while looking at his face). I have found myself becoming more and more disappointed with not only the new style of Pastas and their horror-story-esque feeling that ironically removes all suspension of disbelief and thus makes them lose their scare value, but also with the quality of Pastas that I once found entertaining based either on writing errors or flaws in content. As such, I am always pleased when I find one that both is well written and has the feel of a classic pasta that is just believable yet vague enough to seem plausible (and thus terrifying). This Pasta accomplished both of those and blew me away. I applaud the author for their creativity and skill, and you for having the tenacity to read this entire thing. It's stories like this and No End House that got me hooked on Creepyasta years ago, and keep me coming back for more, so thank you.
Same here! As a person who LOVES to listen to stories, or read them, I’ve written a lot when I was younger, but haven’t tried recently. But you’re right, the “new” content, is all how should I put this?? “Fake” in away? You’ve got new channels, with AI voices that sound horrible and can’t pronounce many words correctly, no emotion, no nothing within the reading of the story, they seem like they are all A.I stories, no one put any thought into them. There’s this one channel, that literally every single story follows the same exact “structure”, always “I’m so n so,(add whatever name) and I’ve been living in a cabin in the woods…blah blah the man always has a dog or something, there’s always some big monster to battle, but by the stroke of luck every single time-the bad guy killed, good guy leaves the cabin, goes and lives back in the city. Literally, that’s the story outline for every. Single. One. It might have been channel 13 bodies, or gore creatures, but I’m pretty sure that it’s 13 bodies. No details that make the stories interesting, they’re lack luster and predictable at best. We need to keep creepy pasta narrations OUT of A.I’s hands, it’s ruining a great genre. The art and thumbnail nails, or sound design/effects are great- but not storytelling. If you’d like to listen to another great narrator who loves his fans, creates his own music for his channel/stories, works with other creepy pasta voicers- the channel name is Dark Somnium. He’s got a mixture of horror, gore, unexplained, call from the void stories, he’s great with his skills, and very humble dude. Been with that channel since its followers were in the 100’s. Now, he’s getting the recognition he deserves, just like this man!! Love Mr. Creepy pasta!!
I love long stories. I had a bunch of stuff to do today, but I simply paused when I needed to leave, the story in the back of my head, returned to eagerly listen more, left again, and so on. People don't read a book in one go usually either, you put it down sometimes only to pick it back up later after you processed it a bit. I loved it!
Is it just me or does anyone else think that when you hear stuff like this you'd be like,"Haunted hill where multiple people go missing? You got it locals won't go anywhere near there because I'm not stupid or suicidal. Let's get out of here, Scoob."
I first read this story 2015 and after I searched for it on RUclips- that is how I first found CreepsMcPasta. Long time fan, I really love this channel! *and this story is my absolute favorite creepypasta ever*
By far my favorite creepypasta, I've listened to it about 30 times! An amazing story, & amazingly narrated, the music in the background sets the atmosphere wonderfully too! Keep up the good work! X
Note to self, don't hike up strange hills with lots of weird trees, or a demonic church. Especially when an entire village of people tells you not to. DUH!
It captivated me enough that I heard the full 2 hours in one sitting. I didn't expect it to be so interesting, but this is one of the more professional and interesting pastas out there.
The story is very intriguing and compelling. It's somewhat reminiscent of "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" yet manages to avoid becoming derivative. Thank you for your brilliant narration of such a long story.
Finally.. FINALLY a really good creepypasta. Not overfilled with body parts being cut off or to much gore.. This piece is wonderful.. Thank you Michael Whitehouse for writing it and to you, CreepsMcPasta, for reading it soo well ^^ really great ^^
Here's a simple solution to the "OH MY GOD IT'S TOO LONG" problem, since some people just love to complain. Listen to the video for 20, 30 minutes, then pull up Microsoft Word and write down the time you stopped at (or, if you're smart, you could just remember it). Then when you have time, listen to more of the story, then rinse and repeat. Seriously, there are so many simple solutions to any minor issue, yet people just feel the need to complain about everything. Get over it, Creeps worked hard on this video.
you know this one is interesting but i lost an interest in it beclause is too long.I must say that mostly the short creepypasta are better beclause the are short and give you good scare here is one for example ''Sleep" and ''Where is my child"(or something like that)
i could not disagree more. this story is so cathing and well written it is scary. this is one of the best creepypastaes i have ever heard and one of the only ones that was actually able to make me a bit scared
It’s sad to know that John died, after all of the shit he went through, only to be killed unceremoniously. It’s sad to know, but man was this such a good story!
I started this one, shovelled my driveway, took my dog for a walk and finished it at home. I love these long ones, and I’m going to try and take on “Penpal” next. Great job Creeps!
Villagers: Multiple people have gone to this hill and they all have died John: I went to this hill and something almost killed me Narrator: dOn'T bE sO sUPersTItioS
I was already pissed about John going (I know it’s how stories work but yeah lmao ) but when the guy went right after John finished his story? I just about screamed.
You and MrCreepypasta are two of the most significant figureheads of my early twenties. These stories are so nostalgic to me. Your voices, the musical scores, the memories that accompany that time of my life, everything. Thank you for what you do.
Dear Mr. Whitehouse and Creeps I cannot tell you how often this narration has lulled me comfortably to sleep. Such a wonderful story, perhaps my favorite of the OP's work yet, I immensely envy his poetic and thoughtful way of writing (my own is rather simplistic and to the point, although I think the concepts of my stories are often good) and Creep's voice is the cherry on the top. This is a massive project too, and a long story is the best to fall asleep to. Thank you both!
dude twenty minutes would have bean bet- nah I'm just kiding I personaly love when a video this long shows up in my subscription page. I play random games and listen to youtube videos most of the time and this helped get through part of skate 3's boringly mundane story, thanks Creeps.
I feel as though the names of new creepypastas dont beat the older ones. On top of this being a great story and narration. The simple "on a hill" makes this such a great story without revealing any plots
WOW!! How did I miss thus story for so long?? This is the best I've heard anywhere. The writing, the narration, and the background music -- all perfect! Thank you for all your hard work.
This is more like a novel; considering you can BUY it on Amazon, and the fact that it takes TWO HOURS to read. I always like the long pastas though. Also, whoever actually watches the screen the entire time deserves another cookie CreepsMcPasta
First comment I've left on RUclips, just to thank everyone involved, you are an inspiration, giving unknown writers a platform to show off their talent. More importantly you help me get to kip at night.
I love this guy so much, the way he tells the stories, he makes mistakes occasionally but it makes it sound like someone's actually reading it to me, great job I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Keep making them!
Ah, yes, the classic horror mindset of: "Oh, this place is haunted and evil, and anyone who goes there receives a terrible curse. GUESS I WON'T EVER GIVE ANYONE ANY DETAILS ABOUT IT EVER AND JUST BE REALLY CAGEY. THAT COULDN'T POSSIBLY BACKFIRE."
This was the best story I’ve listen to so far on u channel. Your voice makes u get totally immersed in the story. U really r a crafty story teller. Looking forward to more in the future.
Quite an effective creepypasta, but I wonder whether the creature was supposed the wrathful spirit of the priest, or if they really meant it when they said it was older than humanity. It felt, at least to me anyway, that perhaps the wrathful spirit had possesed the priest, and that had been what had caused him to try and build on the hill in the first place, and drove him to madness.
On the hill is the best story you have narrated yet, and i have read all that you have done on youtube. You are the best and your narrations are superb. Too bad the authors are not as good as you but we can always hope. Outstanding as always Creeps.
If I was John, I'd have punched him. "Psychosamatic?! I've a hole in my side! I didn't think it there! And I was told fuck all about what was on that hill! Your idea that the villagers implanted the notions in my head doesn't work when all they do is say not to go on it!" Seriously, what a jackass this guy is. After hearing that story, he decides to go up the hill and somehow "save" the guy? You know what else would have worked? Waiting for the bus and leaving with him! John's fate was the result of normal skeptisism combined with professional interest and a sort of desire to insure that what happened to Dale's son never happened again. The narrartor, on the other hand, is just a know-it-all prat. To a skeptic, John was in no danger. Best thing for him was to go on home after his little streak of misfortune was over and see a shrink. There was NO reason to risk his own life. Even a skeptic, after hearing that story, would see that there was danger up there. Supernatural danger, no, but danger nonetheless. I'm not saying this hampers the story in any way, mind you. It's not like someone being this confident in their "rationalizations" is unheard of in either fiction or reality. I just...REALLY wanted to punch him when he started spouting about it all being in his head. THREE MONTHS!?
Been 9 years and I still listen practically every night. Forgot the ending because I never made it past the end of John's story, until recently I'd forgotten how horrifyingly wonderful this tale truly is.
starlily doll have you heard it in reverse?? Sounds crazy, but its actually pretty nice. I first heard it in shadowman when you find Jack the Ripper in The Dark Tower in Deadside, In life he always listened to moonlight sonata and i guess in death he hears it backwards or something, but its not the reckless cluster of sound you would imagine it to be. It is melodic with almost rhythmic purpose.
This was the visit video I heard you narrate, Creeps, and it's still my favorite. It's the entire reason I subscribed to you. Have listened many times over the last two years and I still love it.
Well I listened to the entire story and really enjoyed it. I found myself riveted to my seat throughout until the very end. I thought it was well written but more importantly very well narrated by you...I look forward to perhaps another lengthy story such as this one in the future if time permits you to do so. Just know there are many of us that love to read and love to hear many of those books in audio form too... Thank you for the upload and a job well done!

Couldn't agree more.
Sombomombo Bop Good point. Even less reason to whine now.
and did one hell of a job :D wow it was good!
you know this one is interesting but i lost an interest in it beclause is too long.I must say that mostly the short creepypasta are better beclause the are short and give you good scare here is one for example ''Sleep" and ''Where is my child"(or something like that)
i could not disagree more. this story is so cathing and well written it is scary. this is one of the best creepypastaes i have ever heard and one of the only ones that was actually able to make me a bit scared
Villagers: Multiple people have gone to this hill and they all have died
John: I went to this hill and something almost killed me
Narrator: dOn'T bE sO sUPersTItioS
I was already pissed about John going (I know it’s how stories work but yeah lmao ) but when the guy went right after John finished his story? I just about screamed.
You and MrCreepypasta are two of the most significant figureheads of my early twenties. These stories are so nostalgic to me. Your voices, the musical scores, the memories that accompany that time of my life, everything. Thank you for what you do.
The first thing I though when I saw the title was:
I'm on a hill!
I'm on a hill!
Everybody look at me I'm on a motherfucking hill!
Psycho Zebra i recall it was from the lonely highlands
I'm on a hill to!
Psycho Zebra so am I
Thought??
This was the first story that introduced me to you over 5 years ago. I enjoy the long stories so I came back for a refresher
Next video- "Hi son" Feelspasta
hey can you do anime creepsmcpasta
you probably have the best creepy pasta videos
Jesus Valdivia have you read the Hetalia one :3
no
***** pegasister!
I USED TO LISTEN TO THIS SO MUCH AS A KID! I once tried to make a comic about it.
Dear Mr. Whitehouse and Creeps
I cannot tell you how often this narration has lulled me comfortably to sleep.
2 Hours!?! Pretty much the reason I stayed away from it haha XD
awwww shiz man i just realized that. *SKIPS TO "TURNS OUT I'M NOT ALLERGIC TO MILK" BY MCP*
franki larson eww.
haha but it was so funny X3
I like the long ones.
No pun intended! xD
Ha that's dirty ;) I like both :3
1:32:47 why do people do that it's not like it's gonna pop out and be like "oh yeah hey fam what's up" I never really get it🤔
menty williams he was yelling to see if homeless people or hermits were down there my dude
😂😂😂😂
dude twenty minutes would have bean bet- nah I'm just kiding I personaly love when a video this long shows up in my subscription page. I play random games and listen to youtube videos most of the time and this helped get through part of skate 3's boringly mundane story, thanks Creeps.
The scariest things in these stories are the commercials suddently screaming in your ear
I love this story. It's so well written and we'll told I keep coming back to it .
This is the longest Creepypasta ever. Your endurance is admirable, Creeps.
Ain't nothing better than a cup of coffee, this channel and a good story
So true!
I just play unturned with this in steram overlay
l
loghatv pfft unturned
CaptainShadowGaming you don't? dude, I pwn all the haxers with my noob tube.
2 minutes after i finish "Penpal" i put this on. I don't know what to expect
your a very blessed person I did the same thing
me2
me2
Yassss
Same Blibba
I feel as though the names of new creepypastas dont beat the older ones.
On top of this being a great story and narration. The simple "on a hill" makes this such a great story without revealing any plots
This was great. I love longer stories. This one had some genuinely creepy moments, top effort :D
OMG this should be a movie. 😄 With the right director and actors, it would be AMAZING.😏
Idk maybe maybe not
Watch The Borderlands
neza vida exactly what I was thinking
neza vida definatly
Nevada Jarett I have friends, but we're writing our own horror movie.
A great story. I wish they were all this long!
S'wrong with you, woman
hi❤
I agree. I like to listen to creepy pasta while I play minecraft, so it's nice when they're as long as possible.
***** watch my face
Listen to Borasca narrated by MrCreepyPasta it's great
This video is a great mix of Creeps' narration and Michael's legendary Creepypastas
WOW!! How did I miss thus story for so long?? This is the best I've heard anywhere. The writing, the narration, and the background music -- all perfect! Thank you for all your hard work.
I'm an hour in and i am honestly terrified. 59:59
This was amazing
Sure was
This is more like a novel; considering you can BUY it on Amazon, and the fact that it takes TWO HOURS to read. I always like the long pastas though. Also, whoever actually watches the screen the entire time deserves another cookie CreepsMcPasta
And yet another masterpiece from Mike W.
Fuck you
alex poop Well, that was random. Why the hate?
alex poop
dude, why?
Pieter Knepper Why not
This is amazing, beautifully spoken and the background sound is perfect. Keep up the great work!
First comment I've left on RUclips, just to thank everyone involved, you are an inspiration, giving unknown writers a platform to show off their talent. More importantly you help me get to kip at night.
This has to be one of my favourite stories of all time. Bravo to the writer!
2 hours long huh?
Welp. Time to get some popcorn and get comfortable.
This felt like listening to a Lovecraft story! Thank you so much ❤️
I agree
I love this guy so much, the way he tells the stories, he makes mistakes occasionally but it makes it sound like someone's actually reading it to me, great job I thoroughly enjoyed this one!
Keep making them!
That... was... a... FANTASTIC use of two hours of my night! Had my doubts concerning the length at first but that story really delivered! Loved it.
That last line was the cherry on top of the delicious sundae that was this story! Well done
This entire story is a cryptic message meaning Jonah Hill
this is my favorite creepypasta of all time, it's so perfect in every aspect and your narrating makes it perfect. thank you
This was the best story I’ve listen to so far on u channel. Your voice makes u get totally immersed in the story. U really r a crafty story teller. Looking forward to more in the future.
Do you make audiobooks?? You are so talented reading this, you create the right spirit of the story.
Alright. im listening for the first time to this story. Im torn between being creeped out and mesmerized by your voice lmao
Completely agree.
What a wonderful bed time story :) Thank you! Your voice is soothing like a warm blanket.
On the hill is the best story you have narrated yet, and i have read all that you have done on youtube. You are the best and your narrations are superb. Too bad the authors are not as good as you but we can always hope. Outstanding as always Creeps.
I love the cello playing at around the 1:30:00 mark. The music is such a crucial part of all these creepypasta videos.
I love long pastas.
I like to hear them in a single run, that's why I don't normally listen to parts,
Those villagers should call the Winchesters.....
Red Queen Good luck getting Dean on a plane.
+Jexxer they could probably use the Mr. T. method using pie instead of milk
"I ain't gettin' on no plane, fool!" - Dean "B.A." Winchester
Have a pint, and wait for all this to blow over
Season 1
10 years later and this story STILL gives me the creeps ❤
i cant belive that i actually finished this, it was AWESOME!, your voice was literally created for this. Thank you for your work
The only thing that was on my mind this whole time was... HOW LONG DID THIS TAKE TO UPLOAD?!??!
Probably not that long believe it or not
Christian PTV SAME LOL
7.2 seconds.
It's just a couple images and audio. Probably not too long.
are you transgender?
If I was John, I'd have punched him. "Psychosamatic?! I've a hole in my side! I didn't think it there! And I was told fuck all about what was on that hill! Your idea that the villagers implanted the notions in my head doesn't work when all they do is say not to go on it!"
Seriously, what a jackass this guy is.
TheBlues32 it could have been worse. He could have said it was just teenagers playing pranks!
"This was like that drug trip I had that one time " - Jacksepticeye (I'm sure he's said it today)
I've listened to this almost every night for 6 years. It's so soothing to listen to to wind down before bed. 10/10
Been 9 years and I still listen practically every night. Forgot the ending because I never made it past the end of John's story, until recently I'd forgotten how horrifyingly wonderful this tale truly is.
This was such an amazing story and the narrator set the tone so perfectly one of the best stories i've heard in a while my hats off to you.
I listened to this two years ago, but didn’t finish it. This is truly a masterpiece
Back again 5 years later
I loved hearing moonlight sonata!
what's the song at the start?
starlily doll have you heard it in reverse?? Sounds crazy, but its actually pretty nice. I first heard it in shadowman when you find Jack the Ripper in The Dark Tower in Deadside, In life he always listened to moonlight sonata and i guess in death he hears it backwards or something, but its not the reckless cluster of sound you would imagine it to be. It is melodic with almost rhythmic purpose.
😇😎😈
It's mostly "Moonlight Menschen" By Myuu. He makes royalty free horror music, and wrote this song inspired by moonlight sonata.
Who else loves his older videos?
Absolutely love this story, one of the best I've read. also Creeps, you have a voice that I can lay in bed at night and listen too.
This was the visit video I heard you narrate, Creeps, and it's still my favorite. It's the entire reason I subscribed to you. Have listened many times over the last two years and I still love it.
HOLY SHIT! THIS IS AWESOME! MAKE IT A MOVIE!
Blitz McShitz wouldn't be done, the horror genre is seen as a way of getting easy money
A local hill for local people... "Welcome to Royston Vasey - You'll Never Leave!"
that was 2 hours well spent! this was a great story and this actually creeped me out at times unlike most other creepy pastas!
This pasta was long but I loved it
it was a long piece of spaghetti =3... But really it is a very good creepypasta.
