Trap Lore Ross explained why he referred to the late rapper King Von as “rap's first serial killer” in his controversial documentary. Citing lyrics and a multitude of evidence, Ross defended his claim, arguing that Von's repeated reference to murder and his seeming personal gratification from the act aligned with the FBI’s definition of a serial killer. In spite of personal safety fears, Ross decided to create the documentary after Von's death shook him, being a fan of his music. He claimed the intention wasn’t to sensationalize or gain viral traction, but to question the truth behind the rapper's self-proclaimed body count.
