MILAN FASHION WEEK FALL WINTER 2022-23 REVIEW

Bonjour and Welcome in Milan for Milan Fall Winter 2022-23 Fashion Week!
After New York and London, it's to Milan, the ultimate Italian fashion destination, to host the presentation of the collections of Fall Winter 2022-23 Fashion Week.
I'm Francesca, a French fashion journalist and fashion video editor specialized in Fashion Week and based in Paris and this is my up close and personal review of this Fall Winter 2022-23 Ready-to-wear Milan Fashion Week.
If you are new to this channel, welcome and please let me introduce you my methodology to provide these Fashion Trends Reviews I edit after every season of Fashion Week. First things first: you might not be used to the fashion universe, and you have no idea of what a Fashion Week is. Fashion Week is an event during which ultimate and selected fashion designers and fashion houses unveil their collections for the upcoming seasons in a series of runway shows and presentations to buyers and media influencing the fashion industry. It is the most important performance of the fashion industry as these collections define the upcoming fashion trends and influence the entire production line of the fashion trade, and probable other industries.
To be in a position to define these Fashion Trends Reviews, I scrupulously attend to every show personally or digitally. New York, London, Milan and Paris, that means more than a thousand shows depending on the season. Then, It is my expertise and experience in fashion which allow me to understand and define the upcoming fashion trends, based on my understanding and knowledge of fashion.
At Fendi, the Fall Winter 2022-23 collection imagined by the British designer Kim Jones paid a tribute to his eminent predecessor Karl Lagerfeld and his 54-years tenure at the Roman fashion house; and draws its inspiration from two significant collections : Fendi's Spring Summer 2000 fashion show and Karl Lagerfeld's Memphis Spring Summer 1986 collection. With Bella Hadid opening the show, Kim Jones presented a collection contrastingly melding sharpened tailoring-inspired silhouettes and the lightness of delicate and sheer lingerie-inspired garments in diaphanous tones.
The fourth season signed by co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, unveiled a collection celebrating the philosophy of everyday through the commemoration of life and living, the past and the present, and the idea of empowerment in its eclectic and personal interpretations. Shoulders as significant element of the collection evoke the vision of power as much as the white tank tops do, intelligently reinforced by the styling with the softness of delicate sheer pencil skirts.
Power and confidence has taken over this Fall Winter 2022-23 Milan Fashion Week! At Dolce and Gabbana, the duo of creative directors Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana emphasize the vision of empowerment by pushing the designing of the shoulders to its extreme and drawing the inspiration of the silhouettes from the masculine tailoring and ensuring to speak to the Gen Z language with Metaverse- looking superheroes.
At Gucci, Alessandro Michele pursued his seven-years tenure at the iconic Italian fashion house by playing with gender fluidity and investigating how women can adopt the meaning of menswear.
