    Epic video! For me, this is what mountain biking is all about: adventure and simply having fun. Great route and great to hear about this type of bike. "Super" bikes are incredible, but its nice to see and hear about something else - a more "normal" bike, I suppose. More videos like this please!

    Love these epic ride videos. Neil and Blake always make such good epics, definitely need more like this. Nothing like riding good descents or well made jumps but this is the other part of the sport, just enjoying nature that's so awesome to see. These videos always make me want to go bike packing and just explore.

    140/130 is pretty much the sweet spot for me for trail riding, this is how I run my Reactor 29er and it’s way more fun and playful than my 180/170 enduro bike. Awesome video as ever 👌

    After 30yrs of mountain biking, watching trends like 'longer-lower-slacker' ebb & flow, I'm glad to see the technology just keep improving for all types of riding. Steeper head tubes aren't 'boring'. There will always be all sorts of riders and the different bike styles just help develop better bikes for all.

  • @Motorep146
    @Motorep146 Год назад +1

    That was definitely one of the best videos to date! The bike hits that sweet spot of "just right" as far as geometry and travel for the type of riding I do. My normal ride is an Ibis Ripley at 120/130 so it's what I would want from a bike.
    As a life long Boxer owner I appreciated the tribute to them at the start as well.

    I just came back from 5 months in Innsbruck, I have the old Neuron, which was the only bike I had there. It was perfect, when I wanted an intense workout I could pedal all the way from the city centre to the top of the cable car and it was comfortable. I used it on the trails and even in the bike park with no complaints. It could take on all the trails and sections with no problems at all. Really impressed by the versatile geometry. Great all in one ride.

    I am really pleased with my '23 Neuron CF9, the same as being used here by Neil. I bought it as a winter bike where I can do slightly rougher trails as I also have a lighter more XC biased Canyon Lux Trail for half day rides in the summer (and lighter trails). I wanted the two bikes to have similar geometry as I like the feel of the recent longer frame full suspension MTB's. I put the Neuron CF9 on a diet as soon as it was delivered and its now 13kg ready to run with flat pedals, bottle cage etc. It is faster than my previous winter trail bike, a Whyte T130s, as it is noticeably less draggy and the suspension somehow seems more mature. Over my usual 10 mile test course (quiet lanes & potholed bridleways with a 1km hill) the Neuron is only 2-3 minutes slower than my Lux, but 3-4 minutes quicker than my previous Whyte. 👍

    Love the Neuron being featured here! I bought last year's Neuron AL7 and it is the best bike I ever owned (so far anw!). My background being an XC rider in my youth, I wanted something I could still pedal all day without hurting too much & still have something under me that would take the occasional rowdier sections of trails, mild jumps & drops. I am by nature not pushed towards jump lines just yet, so this bike is a good all around weapon for my riding style and currently explored local trails (New Brunswick, Canada).
    Although I am well aware it isn't designed for bike park/burly jump lines, it took all the technical downhills I've given it so far & the occasional small air/mild drops like a champ, and all while still be pedaled up for another round down. When I'll want to hit the parks & jump lines more seriously, then I'll add a Spectral to the lineup :)
    The Neuron is the perfect companion for my trail riding mild technical downhill loving type. two thumbs up here!

    140 mil. rear, a 10 or 20 more on the front paired with capable parts and a modern, balanced geometry is just the sweet spot of bike-configuration for me, the trail and all-mountain-concept in the real sense. Not too heavy, so that you can go on sporty CC tours without hating them, and not too under-biked, so that you don't go off in rough sections without hating these.

    • @gmbn
      @gmbn  Год назад +1

      for many people, a trail bike is really the best option! You can set them up for long pedal days or tweak the setup to get rad! As Neil mentioned it does depend on local terrain and ability though.

    • @chrisridesbicycles
      @chrisridesbicycles Год назад +1

      100% agree. My Ibis Ripmo still marks this perfect spot for me. Not too heavy, rides uphill fine but with the second set of wheels with 35mm rims and enduro tires it does everything I can do in a bike park. It kicks way beyond what the 145mm at the back look like on paper.

    Love the bike design ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube.All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
