The Hanged Man has been stalking me a bit lately. I've had to accept a delay in a relationship. Once I accepted it, our relationship grew more intimate. I loved your explanation of this card, and it has really helped me understand it.
Wow I’m hoping that for my outcome
I actually drew this card last night during my reading and I am really glad I was able to watch this video while it was fresh on my mind. It certainly gives me a more positive perspective. My husband and I are going through a big transition in our business and I have a tendency to try to control not only the process but the outcome. This is a gentle reminder from the universe that I can't control everything and sometimes it helps just to let go and surrender and watch it unfold. Thank you for this!

What an insightful explanation! It had never before occurred to me that there could be anything "good" about The Hanged Man's situation, but you're right - he DOES have time to think and reflect, and he definitely "sees the world from a new perspective"! As a new subscriber to your channel, I wish I could watch all of your videos all at once! But now I guess The Hanged Man is telling me to just be patient, I'll get to all of them eventually!

ETA: Are we "stuck" or are we in a liminal time, and people in general, especially in the West, are very uncomfortable with this state?

Thank you! An oracle card popped out at me and it was a card about being rigid. I then thought which card in tarot means this? I had also for awhile been wondering about the position of the hanged man. His tunic bottom on one side looks like a pant leg and the other side a floaty skirt that made me think that integrating male and female aspects are also part of this card. I thought about how the hands behind the back could just be held together and it’s an illusion of them being tied up there. Let go of control, don’t be rigid in your thoughts and beliefs. Also, don’t micromanage other peoples lives. As that keeps you stuck focusing outwardly on them and not inwardly on yourself and why you need to feel that way about others ❤

Your inner world will take you places the outer world can't . Enlightenment means taking in info that previously would have been ignored and applying it creatively. It also exposes your previous folly. The Hanged Man can't remain there. His serinity is due to his new found insight into how to get down and to move onward. What may have initially seemed a disaster is really his salvation.
I’ve already made my wish for manifestation. Now I focus on me til he comes.

I have seen this card more than once over the same inquiry of a person in my life. I've known personally to be about self sacrifice.
There's no controlling the outcome, and I have a choice to be glad at the slightest depth of rest. I think you clarified that well with the three stages from feelings stuck, giving up in surrender, and engaging in depth enlightenment.

Loved this…the hangman is one of my birth cards…I see myself in this card because I do have a big “vertical life” lol I explore many of my thoughts feelings etc. To me he represents taking time to go inward and feeling serene about it. Many don’t want to self reflect or don’t know how to, or take the time to. Many are just on the horizontal and grind, grind, grind and aren’t happy and can’t figure out why cause they’ve done all the “things” and that should equal happiness. The inner world (I think) is just as important as the outer world.

My card for 2023...interesting since 2022 was my annus horribilis
I have had a sore left buttock for a few days now, and it woke me up this morning. The only way I could get relief was by putting my legs in the "Hanged Man" position, and I got a vision of the card as I realised what I was doing. I am just starting to explore Tarot, but very much a newbie. This wonderful video was the first one I watched and the message is perfect for me. All that you say about feeling helpless and needing to let go and stop trying to control things was the message I needed to hear. Like you say, we have all felt like this the past 2 years and more. I have actually been slowly coming to this conclusion the past week or two big time, so this was brilliant confirmation for me. The form in the card looks like a big letter. Some think its about BAD luck. But its probably a spiritual card with deep thoughts & psychic stuff.

What is Vertical and Horizontal path based on? I've never heard of this, especially in regards to Tarot
I've come across this idea in different places over the years, but can't remember where exactly. I feel like the book Seat of the Soul (Gary Zukav) might have talked about this, but not 100% sure. I don't think I've ever heard this concept applied to Tarot though.
