@pfcblint3171 yes, but it was the first song played on MTV in general. The US MTV was the original, so obviously their metrics before coming overseas are the "first."
Really wasn't expecting this one. Kind of a pog moment. There was this radio station that took pulls for the next song and me and my friends got them to play this song back in the day.
out side looking in,Buggles are reacting to a cover of their reaction to radio's downfall,many years after,many years after the next gen tech decimation of each previous gen,radio,tv,vhs,cable,pc,laptop smart phone,podcast,streaming&the beat goes on . G Davis sr6April1961
This is about 10 times better as a duet-- and I love how the two of them trade off the parts on the verses. Also, I never noticed how the second repetition of the word "star" in the chorus goes down a half-step, while the first one doesn't. I'm guessing the AI is just duplicating that from the original song, but it comes through really clearly with the computer voices, and it's a really pleasant detail I never noticed in the song.
Actually, having listened to the original version by The Buggles again, they didn't do the downward half-step I was talking about. So now I'm wondering where it came from? Neat decision by whoever sequenced this performance.
This was the very first song played on MTV when it launched. Back when MTV played music
For the American MTV yes;
For the European MTV it was Money for Nothing by Dire Straits

And then Neuro twins sang it better.
Ahahaha~ I get that reference!

The thing that always gets me is the slight differences in personality. Neuro is bubbly and bouncy and Evil Neuro is much more reserved.

AI killed the human star
Knowing Neuro that could mean literally
I love that they can actually do the harmony during the refrain.
*We're reaching levels of irony that shouldn't be possible.*
