One of the reasons I love making videos is because when we document the hardships we, we can reflect on them when we succeed. Props to you for putting this out there, man. One day, you will look back on this as a doctor and it will show you just how hard you worked. Massive respect!

Lucas, hang in there bro and embrace moments in life like this one… these trying times are what build our character and help to bring out the very finest from within us. I don’t speak hypothetically, but rather from very intimate personal experience. I am now nearly 50 years old. When I was 23 yrs old I was a taxi driver in Dover, NH. Early in 1996 I picked up a fare close to midnight on a Saturday evening. The young man who got in the back seat of my car had conspired with his girlfriend to rob a cab driver and take off with the money. He hit me in the back of my head with a carpenters claw hammer anticipating that I would pass out and be helpless to stop the theft. When he realized that the first blow had not rendered me unconscious… he panicked (fearing the potential retaliation that might follow) and continued to swing with full force repeatedly. Long story short, we struggled in the vehicle for over 5 minutes before I had subdued him and waited for help to arrive. All said and done, I was smashed in the skull 25 times with that hammer (four of those blows were with the clawed side of the hammer). My assailant died in the vehicle as a result of “asphyxiation due to strangulation”. I never even doubled a fist to strike him back, only tried to restrain him and make him stop hitting me. I didn’t know he had died until about 6-7 hours later after being treated at the emergency room and brought to a state of “stability”. Months later my life literally exploded and crashed. It took that long to finally come out of the state of shock I had been put in. After much medical scrutiny I was deemed totally and permanently disabled. It was a long, hard fought road to recovery and every day is a struggle for me… some scars just don’t heal. HOWEVER, I did not want to be disabled and refused to accept that as my reality. So I fought through it… for years. Therapists, medications, numerous failed attempts to get back to work and provide a stable home for my family. I have refused to continue receiving ANY “disability benefits” and have been standing on my own two feet as a productive member of society for nearly 10 years now. I am now the Maintenance Director at a 76 unit hotel in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. There is nothing you can not accomplish so long as you have these two things… THE WILL TO SUCCEED and FAITH IN GOD. Trust Him. He’s got a plan for each of us. You are a good soul and if you let Him, God will guide you to your hearts desire if it be noble, just and honorable. Keep the faith my friend. We are all rooting for you. As long as you don’t quit on yourself, you will never truly fail. Be at peace bro… God has your back 🤙🏼

Wow that story is amazing. Coming back from head injuries is unlike any other injury to the body. It's not a linear as you probably know better than me or most people. Having interests and getting excited about hobbies is a great indicator of a functioning brain and moving toward quality mental health. For me, geeking out about the swell forecast and feeling thrilled to catch good one post session help me remember everythings working as it should. Even in the past few days, I feel like im figuring out how to better prepare for this test and I have faith we will succeed. Thank you and I hope to get a session with you one day up in ME.

Hang in there brother - I raced road cycling as Cat2. One thing it taught me is never give up. When you think you don't have anything left ,- you do! You will be surprised how far you can push yourself.🤙

maybe the practice tests are harder than the real test. Keep grinding you paddled out in a remote area with no one around when it was huge and survived you got this easy
