  • The Authority was a proud sponsor of the Fresno State Transportation Institute's (FSTI) first annual railroad model competition in Fresno, CA. In addition, four senior level engineers at the Authority also volunteered as judges to provide their expertise and insights on planning, constructing and operating a rail system. This competition, divided into upper elementary, middle, and high school groups, required teams to design their own railroad track models, create operation plans and provide a presentation on their work and history of rail in California.

This is how you build an organization that grows so that it develops a level of sustainability from within itself. Nice work CHSPR!!!

As we move to a new era in multimodal transportation options, I’m glad they are peaking these kid’s interest in rail transportation. Because these are the minds that are going to build out the high speed rail network in America. China has 22,000 miles of high speed rail. America has zero! Amtrak Acela on the east coast isn’t high speed rail because it shares its tracks .

Yes it is verey important to develop in highspeed bullet trains in the United States of America but there's one thing. Only a few can see this. The United States as a whole just can not see it the great in these modern marvels of transportation. But one day, just one of these days, America is going to wake up and boy when that happens, look out!!!
