1:55 I've been effing around for 2 hours looking for someone to dig a bit deeper and explain WHY things are done, not just how. Understanding why leads us naturally to how 9/10 times.
I appreciate you explaining this clearly - thanks!

Hi can you also do partnership and corporation accounting? We can't have comprehensive discussions in our class due to this pandemic and Im having hard time to self study my book. Your videos are good and not difficult to understand.

Hi Ivy, partnership and corporate accounting is actually the same thing. The only thing that usually is the difference is the account names. In partnership accounting, there is no common stock and APIC, it's just owner's contribution.

I don't get it.. ill write below my understanding between par value and face value below and clarify my mistakes.
face value is the price of a share the company sets to collect capital from the investors in the share market
par value is the price of a share company sets as a baseline to make a secured platform to give back the investors the par value money if the stock price in the market goes below par value.
so a share has a face value and a par value, right??
if face value and share value has the same meaning, then how can a company generate captial if it has no par value/ no face value ??
