Clean & Protect Your Paver Patio with Prosoco

This is the last step of this urban backyard makeover. Every element of the build is completed. This is a step some contractos will pass but you should definitely not! You want to leave the jobsite clean so the homeowners can be at ease and enjoy the new outdoor living space they have invested in. You don't want to leave them having to ask questions about your job.
Before doing any cleaning, you need to know what stains you're working with. Whether it be, biological stains, efflorescence, mineral deposits or oil stains, you need to assess what kind of stains you're dealing with so you can use the right cleaner for that job.
With the help from our friends @ProsocoSince1939 we had a variety of cleaners and protectors to test out.
If you're dealing with Efflo, meaning the white stain removes when wet, you don't need any cleaning done. It'll weather out throughout the season with traffic.
If the white stain is still visible when wet, start with a light detergent cleaner and then move on to sturdier cleaners.
Prosoco offers a wide range of concrete cleaning products and the one's we used are Enviro Klean 2010 All Surface Cleaner, Sure Klean Light Duty Cleaner, Sure Klean 600. All of which depends on the stain you're dealing with. Before applying any cleaners, make sure to read the instructions on the label to find out the mix ratio.
The next step is to protect the surface. Not seal! Why? Protection is breathable, penetrating and water repellent so the water can't get in but water vapors can get out. A Sealer will trap water out but it also traps it in which could be even harder to clean afterwards. The times that you would use sealers are on pillar caps, wall caps, where there will be a lot of air circulation.
