I have skis like this for skate and classic on rough roads, and have put many thousands of Kilometers on them, but I really prefer the small wheel skis if I can find good pavement. The large wheel skis are just so heavy and relatively clumsy to use. If we had some smooth gravel trails like this I might be inclined to use them more.
I use Skikes V9 Fire 200s on the Carriage Trails (basically horse trails) on Mt Desert Island in Maine (in the Summer). Great work out - with hills - but Skikes have brakes. Too bad the US has lost its only Skike dealer! Have modified mine with ratchet straps and soccer shin guards - MUCH more stable.
Hi DEP, have you got a video to show how you did your set up with ratchet straps. I would really like to do this to mine. it will be appreciated Thanks
I think it is difficult to brake abruptly on fast roller skis. It is about the same on these cross rollers as it is on asphalt skating roller skis. Maybe a little bit harder. However it feels saver to brake by rolling into some grass, gravel or whatever slower surface might be next to the fast surface! Another option that I have not tried yet is the so called "Wahia-brake" :)
@@FullPerformance you have amazingly good speed for pretty rough surface. I have 200x40 mm wheels and the same surface like you, but I cannot say I'm that quick: ruclips.net/video/Qwv3_f5SAjI/видео.html . I think it's about strength as well. Thanks for sharing!
Great video. Beautiful landscapez
Where would I find a nice track on asphalt in greater Copenhagen to roll - any favorites/recommendations?

Very nice technique and scenery. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for another great video. I love the scenery and good going on those. I’ve got two pairs of Skike and I absolutely love them.
Thanks Jens. Glad to hear you enjoy this activity as well ;)

How do you brake with these larger wheels from different materials and different surface? Is it the same as with regular roller skiing?

Can’t understand them. They sound like they have hot potatoes in their throats.
