The Rev 12 passage you really should educate yourself about the astronomy of Christs birth. This is a literal description of the signs in heaven of Christ's birth. Draco the dragon, Virgo the virgin. Leo the lion of Judah, Venus, Jupiter, the sun, the moon, all appearing as described to show the child that shall rule the nations with a rod of iron had come. This is how the WISE men knew(combined with knowing from Daniel the time, and prophecies of where).

Oh Joel, yes. I have known you (via your teachings) for almost 5 years and I have always suspected you are on the spectrum 😊 I am, hubby is and my two youngest ones and some of my grandkids are. My dear dad was too. It runs in the family 😊. ASD is more common than people think. You probably are on the "invisible" end of the spectrum, and that's why it's not noticeable. But I did notice 😁.
And this explains your focus on these subject of the endtimes and other intense interests. It takes an Aspie mind to understand the Scriptures to the level/s you do. It's such a gift you have straight from God's hands to bless the body of Messiah. 😊

Joel since you spoke on preterism, can you speak on all of the time statements in the NT? Such as Matthew 16:27-28 which seems to say some of them standing there in front of Jesus would not die before they observed Jesus returning with the angels in the glory of His Father to repay each according to what they have done. That sounds like a final second coming statement that was supposed to happen in their generation. Great video, thank you!
As you read every reference to this saying in all the gospels where it appears, you will find your answer in the texts immediately following His statement. As for Jesus' coming with His angels in glory in 70 AD, how is it that neither Roman historians, nor Josephus, nor the ancient rabbis who lived through it (such as Rabbi Akiva 50 - 135 AD), nor the rabbi authors of the Talmud (who wrote about the peculiar happenings in the Temple for the last 40 years before it was destroyed), nor any of the direct disciples of John and the apostles (Polycarp, Papias, Ignatius, Clement), nor their disciples (Irenaeus, Justin Martyr, etc.) mentioned that this scripture was fulfilled in 70 AD? Did they somehow forget such a mind-blowing, cataclysmic event within just a few years after it occurred? Historians are still writing books about WWII, which occurred 85 years ago. So, it is unfathomable to contemplate how all of those witnesses, both Jew, Gentile, and Christian, just somehow failed to mention, or "notice," Jesus' coming with His angels in glory in their lifetime.
Thank you for your comment. I am not a full preterist and I do not think the second coming happened in 70ad. My point was Jesus definitely spoke as if he was returning in their generation and reading through the NT it very much seems as though they believed Jesus was returning in their generation, but He did not. So since preterism is growing fast and they have good points on the many time statements, it would be good to have a discussion about them because most do not have a good response.
@@RyanJ-nh8tq Thank you. I'm glad you're not a full Preterist, which is a very deceptive spiritual delusion. As we fast approach the grand finale of Satan and sinful man's reign on earth, which is the tribulation and Antichrist and the martyrdom of Christians, the devil is stirring up more and more deceptions to turn Christians from the truth. Such as eternal torment in the lake of fire 'not' being biblical, which was proudly proclaimed in my hearing at a fellowship in Indiana by a big shot Preterist from Michigan several years ago, (He said "his Jesus" wouldn't do that, which told me he worships a pseudochristos,) who also told them they should "question" everything they have been taught in church, which is a necessary tactic of false teachers. The devil is fighting like Larry Bird against his opponents in the NBA, to get Christians off their game (of being ready for the coming apostasy, tribulation and Antichrist). Full Preterism is a "parasitical" gospel masquerading as the truth, but in reality denies the truth.
As for the apostles supposedly believing the Lord would come in "their" generation, there are several passages that stand out, some I'm sure you've heard of in rebuttal. First, Jesus said, "no man knows the day or the hour", not even the Son. Because of this, Jesus couldn't possibly have implied to them that His parousia on clouds of glory with His mighty angels and in flaming fire (2 Thes. 1:8) would occur before they all died. There are indeed several passages, which do reveal His "coming" in "orge" (wrath) against that evil generation which would reject and crucify Him, but only in the sense of His sending the Roman legions as His instrument of judgment, as He did with the ancient Babylonians and the Assyrians. A good portion of those passages are found in Jesus' prophecy in Matt. 24; Mark 13; and Luke 17 & 21.
Full Preterists, because they are fighting premil-dispensationalists, use (what I call) the 'sleight-of-mouth' tactic of keeping the focus solely on Matthew's account of that prophecy, because they know most Christians are very unlearned in the scriptures, and in eschatology. What full Preterists "purposely" overlook, however, is Luke adds very important info for his Gentile reader, (most excellent Theophilus,) which he would not have gathered from Matthew's Jewish account. In Luke's rendition of Jesus' prophecy, he basically states all the above that's found in Matthew's account, but he adds, "there shall be distress in the land (Israel), and wrath (orge) upon this people. **AND** they shall be led away captive into all the nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the "times" of the Gentiles be fulfilled ("times" is without delineation, as in Daniel's "time, times, and half a time," and Jeremiah's 70 "days", which strongly implies that this coming diaspora would last many times longer than the Babylonian diaspora. Those "times" could not possibly end until the Gentile nations would come to a head, a unified global society headed up by a blasphemous Gentile "god", a man). Only after all of those things, does Jesus state that there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars, distress of nations with perplexity, the powers of the heaven shaken, and "then" all the eyes of the world will see the coming of the Son of man with power and great glory. Then Jesus says in verse 31, "when you see these things (which includes the lengthy diaspora and the times of the Gentiles) come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand." The apostles knew the diaspora and the times of the Gentiles was a vital part of Jesus' prophecy; for Paul himself said that his people would, for the most part, be blind to the gospel, until the "fulness" of the Gentiles be come in. Which reveals he also knew that that unbelieving generation, which Jesus spoke of in His prophecy, would continue in unbelief, until far in the future, when the times of the Gentiles would be fulfilled. The prophecy of Jesus about "wherever the carcasses are, there will the eagles be gathered together," definitely reflects the war of the Jews 67 - 70 AD. But Jesus' coming in glory with His mighty angels, and His gathering together His elect from the "four winds" (all over the globe, which could not have applied only to the Jews in 70 AD, nor in our day, but must also encompass all Gentile believers) could not have occurred in 70 AD. I am not a dispensationalist, nor a pre-tribber.

Yes. The 'little horn' is not a man - singular. It is a kingdom of man/mankind.
Rev 13:18 is not speaking of a man. There is no 'a' as in singular in the Greek text. The Greek word anthropos can mean man, mankind, humankind, dependant on the subject. And the subject here is the beast of Rev 13:1. Specifically it is focused on the last in the chronological order of this beast which is the little horn which grows up after and among the ten horns (powers). This little horn whose numberbis 666, is a kingdom of man/mankind. Man's number is six, because he was formed on the sixth day. Cheers
The head/kingdom which received the mortal wound (killed) was the kingdom of Babel/Bavel/Babylon. It is the kingdom 'which once was, now is not (at the time of John's writing, but would come again (be resurrected), Rev 17:8. It is also the kingdom which is 'an eighth king/kingdom which belongs to the seven (the seven other heads/kingdoms) Rev 17:11. It is revealed as being the resurrected kingdom because it was assigned the number eight, which is the number for resurrected. Its wound was the wound of dispersion when God went down to Babel and killed mankind's effort to unite 'as one, where nothing would be impossible for them', by dispersing them over the face of the earth.

That passage says that the empire that comes AFTER Rome would be the one that dies, but remains in some form, to be rebuilt at the time of the end. That was/is the Ottomans. The empire died, but Islam remained, and the Ottoman Empire/Islamic Caliphate is the only ancient empire being revived today. Under the leadership of Erdogan of Turkey.

If you read Daniel 9:24-27.
Its talking about Daniel's 70 weeks. I think Daniel 9:27 is talking about Daniels 70th week. Its a confirming or "picking up" of the covenant. Its when Daniels 70th week starts or is picked up.
Daniel 9:27 needs to be read in context with the previous verses. Daniel 9:24-27.
"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:" Basically means he will start up or continue the covenant. The last week or Daniels 70th week.

I read that the Eastern Orthodox Church believes in the second coming of Christ but denies his 1000 year reign on the earth. They even believe it’s heretical to believe in that.
No, they would not say it is heretical, asJustin, Irenaeus and others believed and taught this. They just greatly lean toward amillennialism.

Thank you for your patience as a teacher, Brother Joel. It seems this Preterist View keeps rearing its ugly head. It seems to me that plain reading of the plain text shows exactly what you are trying to convey in your teaching. I always learn something new from you.
Did you know that Daniel chapters 9,10,11, 12 are not in their proper sequence? Not only that but what we see as 4 chapters is in de-facto just two longer chapters that were both divided in half and then the last half of the first chapter was switched out with the first half of the second chapter. Sooo in order to correct it we have to switch back chapters 10 and 11 with one another and then re-attach them, then read it that way instead. Sounds like yet another yearn...until you begin actually looking for the evidence, and you'll start seeing it EVERYWHERE! So i made it a years long mission to find as much evidence as we can muster, and so far we're at #25!

KJV "nor the desire of women" I've always held the belief that the AC will be gay/bi sexual due to that scripture. Certainly explains why its currently being accepted. Also is there a possibility that the scripture "he as God sitteth in the temple of God" means the temple could be the human body instead a structure? 9:56 would you agree that we have two more antichrists to go? The one of the great tribulation, and the final one during the joke tribulation at the end of the millennium? Revelation ends with after the 1,000 years Satan will deceive once more but God defeats him. Ezekiel 38 describes one coming up against the city of peace with no walls, this could be the millennial Jerusalem. Ezekiel 38’s war is over before they even reach the city, where as the great tribulation has Jerusalem almost wiped out by the Antichrist.
You can't be on the fence about the rapture. There is nothing Noble about calling yourself "pan trib"... like, everything will pan out. If you are a Preterist or an Amillennialist, you feel like it's okay to pick and choose which parts of the Bible are literal... Most of the book of Revelation, much of Daniel and Ezekiel. Even some of the Psalms among other books of the Bible. Yes, Jesus spoke in parables but he came right out and said that. And some things are metaphoric... Jesus is not literally a lamb though he's called the Lamb of God. If a passage in the Bible is allegory it is clear that it is allegory. During the Great tribulation scripture says that unless God shorten the time there will be no flesh survive. There's nothing allegorical about that statement. Yet Amillennialists and Preterists and those that believe the church has to go through the tribulation either haven't studied that s catological fact or they believe that it is allegory. Read the judgments in the book of Revelation. Almost everybody who refuses to take the mark of the beast is martyred by having their heads chopped off. Those who take the mark of the beast suffer severe boils all over their bodies they try to die but death fleas from them. Beasts of the earth who were once gentle will turn on humans... There's Bambi in your backyard and you go to give her an apple and she takes your arm off. People will kill people. A third of the people die from an asteroid and the water is being made bitter. And then a little later a third of those people die. Almost every tribulation of Saint will die a martyr's death. But there are those who truly believe that God is going to take them through the tribulation and protect them. Unfortunately there's nothing in the Bible to support that. There is however scriptures that talk about us who believe escaping this horrible time. I hear people saying, "well, you just have an escape mentality!" And my response is, "Duh." Of course I want to escape the tribulation. Anybody who doesn't, does not know scripture or they tortured the scripture till it fits their particular theology.
The biggest red flag for calling end times prophecy, allegory is that there is no consensus between Amillinialists, Post Tribbers or Preterists. They all interpret last days prophecies to fit their own belief system. That means 2/3 of them are wrong. And if you figure preachers into that equation then 3/4 of you are wrong.
Please forgive me for being so direct... You just can't phone this in! You can't take a position just because you believed a certain way all of your life. You can't believe anybody just because you like them. Be a Berean! Be open to what you're hearing and then study the scriptures to see if what they're telling you is true. If you don't know the days you're living in and if you don't have a love for the truth you will be given "The Lie". You will buy into the beast system because the LIE will be so believable that even the very elect would be deceived were that possible. So you better know what you believe and know what you believe because you have invested your time and done your homework.
I asked God to bless Joel Richardson and all of you who embrace his teaching and who have commented. He says a lot of good things. But Joel comes right out and says that he has not made a decision on what he believes regarding a pre-wrath or a post tribulation rapture. I find that a little disingenuous. The factors God has not appointed us to wrath. (God's wrath during the seven year tribulation)
Please know, I grew up as an Amillinialist. I've been born again for 67 years. I'm 73 years old. I started believing and it pre-tribulation rapture a 7 year tribulation period a literal second coming of Christ list the bride of Christ and every eye shall see him, followed by a thousand year millennial reign of Christ, the great white throne judgement and then all of eternity with the new heaven and a new Earth. Life spent most of the last 10 years as a Berean studying and searching the scriptures to see if what I believe is true.
Not all of you will have read this far but if you have then I especially encourage you to do the Berean thing and I pray God will give you the spirit of Truth.

There has been no recorded historical event that matches the description of an overwhelming invasion from the north led by a figure named Gog, followed by divine intervention on the scale described1.
