Not only do you have Vinnie Jones - one of the Crazy Gang at Wimbledon - acting as a Man U fan (a team which in real life he absolutely despises), but he also seamlessly changes from being a football hooligan to someone learned in the nuances of geopolitical issues. I always found it odd that they went with Man U instead of Chelsea, a London club that Jones actually played for. I guess Man U was just a more well known club fo American audiences.

Sit in a crowd and sing this with thousands of other lovely United fans gives shivers and goosbumps! United 'till I die!

Two of my close friends had played international football since they were little and cajoled me into watching the tournament. I was immediately hooked. I obviously had a national team to root for, but I needed a club to root for. After watching this movie; I had my team. They were at the top of the game at the time, had one of the best managers of all time, and one of the top two best players EVER at that time (Ronaldo). Once I saw this movie, I knew I had the right team. I will say that my biggest disappointment was that, “If you’re not a Manc, you’re a wank!” wasn’t an actual saying amongst fans. Such a great and underrated movie.
