I played the part of Randall’s white, murdered, best friend in one of his colleges comedy troupe’s video skits, It was a forgottten until years later when I realized who I was watching in the Marvel movies and remembered having known him a bit back at UCLA. In that crowd of kids, NOONE was better loved and admired, and even if there was an edge to my being cast as the only white and murdered dude in that piece, I thought he was super cool and was glad to help. I just remember in an era of baggy khaki cargo pants, his were the baggiest. Congrats on a great career Randall! - Lance

I wish he had responded to Neal's question, "How do you feel about racism" with I am in full support of it 😅😅😅😅

My thing is they talk about representation in entertainment by saying middle america can't relate to it, have to make money and that Asians for example are actually represented equal to their percent of the population as a whole. But then turn around and throw a "those that can not be named negatively" character in every other movie when it has nothing to do with the plot and they are even a smaller percent of the population. Also, it's better now but I remember just seeing Asian people getting shitted on in tv shows for no reason. Several 00s-10s HBO shows for example just throw in a "joke" or just insult at Asians for no reason.

Not sure how you can know that americas approach to racism is ‘better than any other country’. That’s a wild assumption. Good convo to have tho

Which is over 2/3 white lol. only a couple cities can actually be considered diverse and it still doesn't touch major us cities in how long people from other countries have lived here and the number. diversity in canada is more recent and now they are seeing the issues up front. usa has had diverse population for way longer. overlooked horrible treatment of first nation's people. the only benefit canada had over usa in this department is that they could learn from USA's mistakes. There are more current immigrants in the USA than the ENTIRE population of Canada. If you go back to second generation American it's near half and if you go back three generations it's the vast majority are from other countries. Canada doesn't touch this. But yeah, hopefully you guys will learn from USA's mistakes on racial issues.

so no issues growing up, everyone laughing and getting along, then going to college, finding a specific racial ‘community’, and then learning history and dwelling on it, then being angry and vindictive from then on. See why academia might be taking the wrong approach?

@ enjoy your life of misery. maybe you will pass that baggage onto your kids too, forever and ever, without end. perhaps you don’t even realize this kind of thinking led to the election results being what they are. you are undercutting yourself and you don’t even know it. yet.
