We finally checked out MAMAMOO's Killing Voice Dingo as requested and we were definitely BLOWN AWAY!!! Even though we know of their vocal talents, it definitely did not prepare us for this! 😜

That girl standing next to Hwasa is Wheein (hwi-in), she didn't renew her contract with Rainbow Bridge World (RBW, the agency) but she did sign a contract to stay with and STILL be a Mamamoo member.
Before anyone telling you the wrong info, here's the fact: Wheein's contract as a Mamamoo member will end in 2023, and SO will Solar, Moonbyul, and Hwasa's. (and oh, there's no "Visual" position in Mamamoo, just want to let it out before the wrong info comes)
From left to right:
Moonbyul (or Moonstar for an easier pronunciation): Rapper, vocal
Solar: Leader, vocal, can rap
Wheein: Vocal, can rap
Hwasa: Vocal, often rap on their early career
The popular opinion among moomoo (Mamamoo fans) is that videos by purple hawke are the best introduction video.
But welp, I personally still think the good introduction video of Mamamoo is titled "Introduction Guide To Mamamoo" by channel Sondery. It's an older video, yes, yet I think it has more infos and more straightforward. Some videos by "What Girl" are also worth to watch to get to know about Mamamoo more.

Mamamoo is just so strong vocaly, but they are much more then just that. You should realy check out the guide from Purple Hawke. Their personalities are the best. They ate such powerful yet fun women. This why they my favorite girlgroup.

The moustache gesture goes back to the first song they did, Mr.애매모호/Mr.aemaemoho/Mr. Ambiguous, which was also their debut song. It's a three-way wordplay, "aemaemoho" sounding very much like both "Mamamoo" and a Korean word for moustache (Google Translate won't show me what that word is, however); it's become a standard part of their greeting ever since.
The MAMAMOO members are among some of the most-credited idols in K-Pop as of early 2023
- Moonbyul actually has the most songwriting credits of all 3rd generation female idols at 115(2nd most credited famale artist overall... Yoon Mirae at 139), since she writes her own raps(and more) in almost all of the group’s songs. As well as contributing to the songwriting in many of them as well.
- Solar has 37 credits to her name. She wrote the lyrics and composition for her solo song, “Spit it Out”. Composer on "Honey".
- Hwasa has 44 credits. The lyrics to her solo song, “María”, were praised for its inventive and meaningful wordplay. ("Somebody" w/Loco).
- Wheein has 9 credits (that I can find, maybe more)

Ditto to uwuwheein's comment. She included a lot of great info and I agree about Wheein's contract situation. It's a non-issue since the only thing that changes is that RBW won't be managing her solo career. We still have at least 2 1/2 years of Mamamoo to look forward to and there's no reason to think they won't sign new contracts at that time and keep going. Imo they will never officially disband. Btw, uwuwheein's list of MVs isn't complete. She included all the title tracks and pre-debut singles and some of the main pre-release and b-side MVs but not all.
More info and answers to your questions:
The mustache move is from their debut song Mr Ambiguous. They make the mustache move as part of the choreo and for the debut stage of Mr A they wore fake mustaches on their fingers. They incorporated the move into their harmonized introduction and have been doing it ever since.
Yes, Starry Night is the name of that song. The guitar part reminds many people of Robin Schulz's Prayer in C.
Dingga means to fool around and have fun in the context of the song. It's also the sound of strumming a guitar to Koreans. Dingga was intended to cheer us up during the pandemic.
Moo means radish in Korean so Mamamoo's light stick is shaped like a daikon radish. Moomoos welcome new fans by saying Welcome to the radish field!
Yep, I purposely only listed on all of their title track's MV but not the b-sides, OST., and many more. I had no energy left as I wrote that comment around 1 a. m.... even now too lol I should get some sleep.

Moonbyul is versatile rapper and singer. She can rap over any beats like jazz, swing, rock, hiphop, r&b, ballad, pop, etc.
Her rap style is her own style. It's mainstream to see female rapper with high pitched tone. But it's rare to see female rapper with deep tone. Not to tell her half rap half sing style. Also not to tell she can pull any looks. Both masculine and feminine style.
Please
