To me, this is the real actual game now. The mod is so simple but it is basically an entirely new game mode. The Rich Explorer start says it all, the Glitter world let me down, and I am going to make a new one because I can.
I just need to find the optimal way to make a zoo people visit now so I can have zoo tycoon in rimworld. A zoo that fights off the odd raider attack, but beggars can't be choosers
This mod is so essential to me, I play ideology City Builder and built a lot of buildings, having guests visiting really populate my city. I LOVE! Seeing them walk around
this mod is so cool i tought it was vanilla, so imagine my dissapointment when i couldnt just load phoebe peaceful, set in the middle of the road and open a bar, and maybe kidnap some guess to feed a cult or a sanquifage...
@falsinar if it makes you feel any better, in the full clip he does get back up. Managed to snag himself on some electrical wire so 'just' ended up with some pretty burned hands. These kind of videos fascinate me because of the sheer lack of self preservation.
I love hospitality. I don’t play Rimworld to commit pointless war crimes. It feels good to set up a hotel for weary travellers to stay for the price of a song, watching them mingle around the saloon well stocked with nice liquors, playing cards and just having a nice time. Sometimes even seeing repeat visitors like the (baseliner) mother of one of my colonists who was hanging around the otherwise all furry faction (with the male supremacist meme, ew) presumably fucking the foxes
@@xandyw1381 will have to tie it in with the multi-mod coverage series I've got planned. As some things float is awesome but too small for an individual rundown.
I started this mod recently and its completely a different gameplay. No more military bases or compounds just a simple motel expanding to be a casion resort.
I think you should do a short review on the weapons & armor from Vaults of Vagar. They’re good alternatives to some of the weapons in VWE, and the armor can also hit a few sweet spots. Plus the Chimera is dope.
Being unreasonably averse to sending pawns out into the world I really appreciate this mod and its offspring. Until a drop pod raid turns my colony into a perverse form of stationary escort mission. People keep complaining though that 10 silver's a bit steep for an excellent cot. I guess some folk would rather sleep in a casket instead of an ancient super soldier bunker.
@pendantblade6361 The worst part is, if an official DLC did add some kind of resort mechanic into the game you know the subreddit/steam discussions would be full of complaining about 'they're selling mods as DLC' again. Just like with Biotech and HAR. :/
Seeing how Tynan is so entitled as to refuse any discount and keep raising the price for the base game and dlcs. The next dlc probably will just add overpriced contents like at least half of the dlcs before.
I usually have free hostel space in the hallways outside my colonist bedrooms, let them eat from the nutrient paste dispenser for free (I consider shelter and food to be basic human rights), but make them pay for actual meals as well as actual bedrooms (usually just an unused prison cell) and actual meals. Then, I have drugs and old clothes available for them to buy if they want. It just feels like how an actual rimworld colony would handle the concept of hospitality. "You can stay and have access to a bed and some nutrient paste, but luxuries are extra."
@corp-por It's a mix of Clean Textures, Regrowth Core & Retextures, Rebuild and Graphics Settings+ . The last one isn't really needed, but I always use it if I'm putting Camera+ on as it cleans up some of the edges when zooming in.
Such a shame HugsLib is in a really shaky state after 1.5 ... often one of the main culprits for black screen errors, and no-one's really done anything but basic life support for a while so unlikely to be any resolutions.
@SwordTune If you're struggling with performance, look at adding Performance Fish to your game. It isn't on the steam workshop, only Github, so you'll need to keep it manually updated. But that thing is literal magic, it'll fix practically all performance issues you might have had with large colonies and let you stretch your modlist a little more.

Rimworld is basically both a story generator and a game generator :p
With mods, the game can be "whatever you want"

An interesting choice for the thumbnail, it actually fits pretty well
This and dubs bad hygiene are a match made in heaven i think. Gives me so much more to think about when i run my Von Nuemen andriod hotel

I love playing on both. People who come in peace get peace. People who come for a fight get no quarter.
A Spaced clip! One of my favourite shows.
@xandyw1381 I keep trying to find an excuse to use "No, it made me want to drown things!"
@@MysteriousFawx Some things float?

then the mechanoids show up😆
Awesome! Was going to ask if this one was in your radar. Now gonna see if you’re prepping for the pooping mod. 😊
or use the hotel to capture some pawns and use them for your needs

Hospitality is one the GOATs of RimWorld mods. I really hope the next DLC expands on this kinda thing.

@@pendantblade6361 case in point, haha. 'why pay full price for this game I can get thousands of hours of gameplay from?'

Great review, I don't know this mod yet.
Are you running a texture pack/mod? The assets in your game look really nice.

If I won the lottery, I would also quit my job and make Rimworld videos every week

What is that mod that makes the water ripple like that at 6:19
@juliuslove Clean Textures
I used to play with this but I feel like all the extra pawns was slowing my game down. I try to stay sub 150 mods. Should I add this back in?

The mod I downloaded but never touched lol
