They love the crunch noise when they chew on them - mylar balls. You can get these in the cat toy aisle at the pet store. Only one of my boys likes these but he likes to hide them and rip the layers off (this is only under intense supervision). - their rice bin. It's great to watch them dunk their heads and dig around. It also seems to help with their coat. - this is a simple one but wiggling a blanket over them or doing that thing where you lift the blanket to smooth it out. They love to jump up and grab the blanket by their teeth. I hope this helps someone who is looking for cheap ways to entertain ferrets, my boys definitely love these.

I have a girl and a boy ferret that I love dearly. I agree with many of your toys, except for the plastic bottles. It is best to keep anything rubber or plastic away from them because they love to eat it. There has been a few recent cases of death by plastic to ferrets, so I hope this is as helpful to you as it was to me. :)
If you haven’t already, could you do a “How to ferret proof a room” I can’t seem to find any videos on it. And I would prefer a video over an article Sadly, I cannot get a ferret yet. I still live with my parents(I’m in 7th grade) and they both work. I really want one, but I know it wouldn’t have enough roaming time. So I’m starting to save up!
Basically to ferret proof a room/house so they can't escape is simple. Block any openings with cardboard(cut to size) & duct tape. My 3 have no cage, they sleep anywhere in my apartment. You'll need to cover up gaps under the cabinets in the kitchen/bathroom, holes in wall, dryer vent, window screen(make sure they can't climb up to the window), lazy boy chair(can be dangerous), gaps under doors(buy a plastic sweep at Home Depot/Lowe's for $3-5), around stove/fridge, any gaps where a ferret can fit their head thru.
I’m fostering from my local clinic, he’s very old and fragile and I’m so happy to be taking care of him! He wasn’t raised in a good home and I hope he will be happier at my home

Samee I’ve been wanting a ferret since I was like 4 (I’m in my teens now) but my parents have always refused :( plus I already have a cat and I don’t know if they’ll get along so I wouldn’t really want to risk it
Hey there! If you really want to show your mom that you are mature and reliable enough to have a ferret, you should save your money - dollar by dollar - so that you can take care of it! Perhaps show her a breakdown of costs for food, shelter, vet bills, etc. A powerpoint presentation would be awesome!
Great info :) Just wanted to add one thing - when feeding a raw diet, I think it is very important to source the animal products from ethical sources. If you buy from the supermarket you will likely be supporting factory farming (very similar conditions to the ferret mills you mention).
@@genesis-fd5eh I am pretty sure it is a regular high school. I know for a fact my teacher would give us the assignment to write about a certain animal. I think it depends on the teacher really lol.
My ferret adopted me... he just kept coming into my house randomly and it was my neighbors! They were mistreating him and he kept getting out of their house so they let me keep him :))
They're smart lil buggers, well, some have rocks for a brain. I was watching some girl's ferret, cuz she was going thru a rough time. After 2-3 months, i brought him back to her, along with my ferrets. When he caught a scent of her, he immediately turn away. I knew, but didn't say anything. Eventually i turn him over to my ferret rescue.
I’m super excited to pick up my boy this Saturday! I’m picking him up from a woman who needed to rehome him and I’m so freaking excited to give him his first kisses from me and to introduce him to the best new home possible! I’ve genuinely been counting down the days and getting more and more excited!! Plus, once I can get approval from my landlord, I’ll be getting a second one as well. As of right now, he’s only allowing one so my boy will be taking up ALL of my time and attention forever (my internship and classes moved online so I’ll only be working 2-3 days a week and my sister and roommates will watch him those days 😁). I’ve planned it all out and I’m so excited to bring him home!!
eston smallwood so so well! I love him more than anything! I picked up his sister yesterday (couldn’t stop at one 😂) so I’ve got a solid certifiable obsession with ferrets! I love them both so much and I know this is going to be the best for both of them - Jörmi (my boy) is mostly free-roam in my room and happy as can be! His sister is quarantined still but gets her free-roam time :)
I just go a ferret from a cousin cause she couldn't keep him anymore. There's no history for him or where he came from and this video is a lifesaver. I'll definitely watch more of your videos!!
I've been volunteering at a ferret shelter for a few months now and have been coming closer and closer to asking if I could adopt one but through research on the internet I've come to learn that it's not all fun and games and a lot of work goes into caring for an ferret. I haven't decided to get one(two) or not but it's proven to be a bigger decision requiring a lot more consideration then I originally thought.
I have been wanted to get ferrets forever! I wanted to adopt some older ones as I've never had them before but there aren't any for adoption in Sydney :( I hope ill be able to get some ferrets one day.
Recently I was thinking about buying a dog in a few years when I’m in university, because it was what I wanted ever since I could remember. Another pet I really wanted was an otter ever since I watched zootopia and did some research, but until this video I thought it was a lost cause. Ever since I started watching your channel today I’ve wanted a ferret more than ever and honestly I think you’re a amazing spokesperson for this little guys. Thanks for showing me the world of the ferrets and with some more research I plan on buying one and showing you any cute or funny videos I get. Thanks for everything.
I’m gonna be getting a ferret soon!! I’m really glad I found this! I’ve looked up a lot about them, but I just wanted to make sure I wouldn’t hurt, neglect, or make the ferret sick, so thank you!
@@loriebedard3985 they are great! I wish we could send pics in the chat😥. We found out our older one has insullanoma. Other than that they are playful and healthy!
Thank you so much for this video! You are so educated and straight foward with facts. I showed my mom this to get my ferret another friend so where he isnt so lonely. Shes looking into it, thank you for being so honest and informal, ive learned more from your videos than i have from google or anywhere else for that matter! Im trying to adopt from a shelter after hearing that they can come with health defects and ferret mills, youve also convinced me to start feeding my ferret meet, i havent started yet but soon i will. Thank you for your videos there a blessing ❤️ (also i ferret proofed my room because i didnt realize the dangers until ive started seeing your videos. I also give him more play time and trying to reach over 4 hours a day)
I was never gonna get Ferrets but I’ve always loved them even since I was a kid one of my friends found a ferret (bob) someone Abandoned him and my friend took him in for a while but didn’t know anything about them but I knew some things about them and I had a cage I knew they needed to be in pairs so I took him in he got checked and he was healthy so I went on the search for another ferret so he wouldn’t be lonely I ended up adopting instead of buying and I got two ferrets Lokie, dobie they are both brothers who needed to be rehomed I’ve had my boys for 5 months and they are thriving I just love watching these videos and always refreshing my mind :)
I don’t have a ferret shelter near where I live. The closet one is hours away so I got a petco ferret. Not all the ferrets there have bad health issues. Before you get them just look and see if they have any obvious sicknesses and try to get them to the vet soon. My ferret is happy. If you have a ferret shelter near you go there but if not petco ferrets aren’t bad. The horror stories of them are rare
the 'natural' coloration thing is probably just the ferret instance of the domestication phenotype in ferrets. Wolves also have much less color variation and spot patterns than dogs, and if you look at the experiments on fox domestication in the Soviet Union you see the same thing. Color and patterning variation actually tends to emerge even when the only thing you select for in breeding is friendliness toward humans! It's really wild (no pun intended)
My local pet store gets their ferrets vet checked and will give you the vet record when you get a ferret from them, they also work on socializing etc. i know not all pet stores are like this, but im so glad i got my little girl from them
If you are looking to adopt look at your near SPCA center 😊 I’m a volunteer at an SPCA and all animals are well taken care of an prices are affordable ❤️
this was such an amazing video. Idk why but on 12:25 tell me I'm not the only one who saw that piece of pet hair. anyway I love your channel with my heart and you inspire so many people and make a huge impact on the way people see their ferrets
I agree so much! I would get ferrets but I have to think about my animals first. (Don't have much room don't want ferrets hitting my rabbits or other small pets) I still plan on getting ferrets in a few years.
Never keep ferrets and small animals in the same room, cage or not. Personally I've had two animals killed by a ferret from a simple slip up on the same day, it took a year to get a slip up but it came eventually. All it takes is one forgetful, sleepy moment and an awful thing happens, it's not worth the risk
Sub earned. I watched another channel, and the guy didn't show basic 101 animal care. You're actually more knowledgeable and educated than most on the subject. I am in fact looking for owning one more as an emotional support animal because I have PTSD from being deployed in the army and getting one for emotional support instead of a service animal seeems easier to acquire/achieve.
just a note! when you reference brachycephalic dog breeds there is a bit of misinformation there. When these breeds (boxers, pugs, chihuahuas etc) come from reputable breeders, they will not have the same breathing issues as ones that come from BYBs/Mills. A reputable breeder breeds for the health and longevity of the dogs they produce, so when breeding brachycephalic breeds they are only breeding dogs who healthy that can breathe and function properly. Many breeders of these breeds compete in sports with their dogs such as Fast CAT and Agility being very successful in them. I personally have a Cane Corso which is a brachy breed (though much more moderate then a French mastiff for example) who is very active with no trouble breathing! While yes, having a muzzle that is smooshed to the face is partially why these dogs have breathing issues, it also has much more to do with the internal anatomy of the dogs entire skull structure as well as their external nose structure. They should have open, clear nares just as any other breed should with nothing overlapping (commonly seen in poorly bred English bulldogs and Pugs where a face wrinkle covers the nostrils) I hope this was helpful! :)
Hiya! I just found your channel from this video and it is very helpful!! I already know I cant get a ferret because of my small living conditions but hopefully in the future I'll be able too and be then I'll have lots of knowledge from your videos :)
Love this video. I have 2ferrets. My baby ferret nova loves to play w my poodle puppy but I always make sure it is under my supervision. They are so fun to watch. Mavrick is my other one he's a rescue I'm trying to save rt now. He was abandon an was affected by black mold. He's already been on medicine for 2weeks really praying for a miracle rt now🙏🏽✨. I want to look Into this raw diet for sure.
Ferrets are the funniest pets ever. I want a white one but I just got an albino corn snake so I have to wait awhile. But ferrets have always been on my list. They just like snakes are way too cute to exist 😂🤣
Thank you so much for this video, I honestly didn't know if I was ready for this and now I know I need to learn more. I absolutely love animals and would have never forgiven myself if I ended up supporting an animal mill indirectly. When I was a lot younger my family had two shelter ferrets, one was albino and the other that more classic sable.
I think one of my ferrets is a pole cat hybrid. He matches the general description of what you said they are like. I didnt know this untill now and now that I do it really makes sense. My other ferret is definitely standard.
Hello I have a Suggestion for a video. Is it possible to make a video of all the products and brands you have/use and where you bought them for your ferrets? Example; blender, processor, kitchen tools you use for prepping food, dishes, nail clippers, grooming tools for shedding, bathing stuff if used, etc... that would be so helpful for many of us. Thank you and I love all your videos amd your cute slinkies. 😍
I work at a PETCO and I know all about the mills it’s so hard though to not buy because I create such a connection with them :( it really sucks. I hate working there because of that but I love working there because I get to educate a lot of people and whenever I’m on my shift I know that when someone buys a pet or shops for their small animals I make sure they don’t buy the wrong things for them and buy safe and good things for them that promote their health and well-being instead of stupid critter trails
I have an albino ferret kit and a hybrid polecat kit there so cute the albino never bites but the polecat id verry verry nippy but shes geting better after time so 😊
Wowww this was soo helpful!! And I love that you have the timestamps in the comments I’ve always wanted a ferret. Since I was a kid but I never really thought I’d get one til my brother and my girlfriend got two. Now I’m like obsessed. I’ve been doing so much res tho bc I want to make sure I can manage them (I was to get 2) and take care of them properly! But I’m just excited to watch the four of them have play dates!!
I am looking to get a ferret soon and this helped so much!! Thank you!! I’m going to adopt one and I’m helping an animal in need and also saving so much money!
I’m getting three 8 week old ferrets (jills from the same litter) in 4 weeks! I’m doing lots and lots of research. And I’m not getting them from a pet store btw, I’m getting them from a breeder ❤️
This is a great video, super helpful I love that you’re actually so knowledgeable on all of this! I see so many things like this with info that just isn’t correct. I had 2 ferrets a few years ago but rehomed them due to mental health issues and going to college I felt it wasn’t fair to them and they deserved the best care possible. Now I’m considering getting a pair again but I’m not 100% sure I’ll be able to give them the best care again
hey thanks for the help ive been researching for 6 months and finally got my baby a month ago! your videos help me learn something evertime, cute furbabies! edit: i got another one 🥺😂
Sadly, there are no breeders in my area, it appears the ONLY choice I have is the pet store I always go to for all my other babies. I have a dog 3 cats and until last week I had 2 rats but we lost one to old age😞(I feel her sister is not far behind). I had ferrets previously years ago but for many years now have not been home enough or had the free time (kids, work, life, the usual) to give them the attention they love but I work from home now so am basically here 24/7 and finally have the time to get another one.....seriously leaning towards getting two😉 LMAO as I am writing this you are talking about raw diet which is another question I had👍🏻👍🏻. Fantastic video thanks so much!!
I am planning on getting a raw fed ferret so I wont have to do soup, and they are well cared for. I have a system: While im at school, they will wander their little area, about 4x7 feet, and at night they will go in their cage. I am planning on getting a single unit for 2 ferrets, i think its fair because they are only there at night. On the weekends, they are out of their cage all day. :)
thank you for the helpful video! i just ended up with two ferrets and wanna give them the best home possible. they came to me with a disgusting cage that looked like it hadn't been cleaned posisbly since the owner got them. there were all sorts of bugs living in it. it was disgusting. the cage had a serious scrub down and the singular hammock they came with (no other toys :/) got washed. i've taken some spare hammocks my rats don't use, and some spare toys, and given them to the ferrets. the cage was in such bad condition that both ferrets got a bath (we thought they might have fleas or mites and wanted to be safe - don't plan to bathe them again). so sad they were kept in such poor conditions and probably never got outside time from their cage. but we'll work hard to keep the cage clean and let them out to play!
I may be getting a ferret soon and I’ve been looking up so much information to properly care for them. I’ll only be getting one at the moment and a month or so I’ll be getting a second one. After this video I realized I need two so they won’t be lonely. I also won’t be getting a cage because I don’t have the money for it yet. So I’ll be ferret proofing my room and house so they won’t be getting hurt.
I just got 2 pet shop ferrets. The shop I did buy from tho isn't a big chain, it's more of a local shop. They look healthy. I get a year of free vet care tho thankfully
I really appreciate this. I’ve been watching a lot of your videos. I’m trying to convince my parents to let me have one. My mom says no because “the cats will kill it” and my dad lives in a apartment complex and I don’t know if they are aloud to or not. I doubt he would let me have one anyways. I’m only 13 so I don’t have a job to pay for the medical bills and expenses so it’s really hard to figure out how to get one. I just got done watching your 2019 ferret guide. I almost went into tears hearing out about those animals mills. Who would want to do that to such cute and innocent animals. If anyone has any tips please respond and help a girl out.
Hey! I do not own a ferret, but I own two guinea pigs, a dwarf hamster, and a fish. From my knowledge, I am sure caring for a ferret is a lot more challenging than all my pets. My mom is pretty strict about pets so I can relate to you. My suggestion would be to wait till your around 16 to actually buy a ferret if your parents are unsure about keeping one mainly because you never know how your parents would react to the costs. At 16 you should be eligible to get a job so then you can care for your ferret without any parental interference. Please do not get a ferret if your parents do not even want one in the house. Even if you have the money, you still live under your parents' roof, so please be courteous to them. But if your parents do allow you to buy one with their money please please please make sure they are 100% cool with owning one because you never know if they will want to give him/her away in the long run. I do not know if these were the tips you wanted, but I hope I could help! :)
Do you get pocket money? Maybe you could save that up. Also, a cat wouldn't kill a ferret. If anything, it would be the other way round. However, with a proper introduction, they should get on fine.
Please don't get a ferret until you move out. Or be very honest with your mum, tell her the truth, ferrets are high maintenance, expensive and somewhat smelly. They're cute, funny, loyal and loving but if you only tell her the good parts then it'll cause issues when the ferrets arrive
Sadly I can only get ferrets from a local pet store...in my entire state, there is no ferret breeder or shelter. Luckily my ferret is very healthy and honestly he's the best behaved ferret I've ever met- my ferret was said that they went to the vet a few months before
When you talked about having just one ferret, and how having just one makes them sad/depressed. Im planning on getting one ferret because in Brazil they cost 4.000 and, my parents are still fixing home needs. I just don't want my "future" ferret to be sad.
my sister and i have been thinking about getting ferrets when we move, my mum doesnt want any but she said if we can afford to keep them happy and helthy we can. but, we have a rabbit, a dog, 2 cats and 2 chickens so im on the fence, sure i would love a ferret, but i dont know, my little sister is trying to get a bird too, i think it can work if -birds and rabbits are in their "cages" (we dont keep the bunny in a cage, she has a whole room) when we let the ferrets out - we lett the bunny and the bird out at the same time (our cats are fine with birds and rabbits, and will snuggle with them, and our dog sometimes gets hyper, she is a pretty calm dog tho) - we make sure the ferrets are no where NEAR the chickens, who are outside, mostly in tho woods so it wont be a problem when we take the fettets for a walk. -we keep the ferrets in the same room as the bird. sounds risky but they would be in a cage, also the rabbit shares a room with me so thats a no go, when we move we will put the ferrets cage in the bathroom, bc the bunny and the bird will have to be in the same room due to space. we will not let the rabbit and the ferrets be close bc our rabbit is a monster and has all the pets scared of her, so she would probably hurt the ferrets lmao. and ferrets stink so kepping them in the bathroom next to the tub is good, because we can just give them a bath. so yeah. if you have a simmaler situation their you go lmao
I work at pet supermarket where we take care of our ferrets Our breeders name is Donna and she takes very good care of them before they come to us Edit: Oh yeah we make sure to handle them too🙃 Ps. They also come with one or more of their siblings
I live out in the country, and we have a stocked pond and our ferrets swim around in it with my kids, my wife, and I. Is that bad? Does that count as bathing? They also like chasing and sometimes catching and eating minnows, tadpoles, and frogs. They run around my barn (which serves as my blacksmithing/woodworking shop) during the day while I work. . They pretty much have free reign of our property, but almost always gravitate to places one of us are at. They always know when someone is cooking, and can be guaranteed to be there. Only time they run off on their own is when they are chasing rodents and stuff. Lost them down a groundhog burrow for almost an hour one time, that was a bad day, though they eventually emerged dragging dead groundhogs with them - an adult and four pups by the time they were done. By the amount of blood on them, we were pretty sure they'd killed and eaten one down there before they brought the rest up. I cut up their left overs and fed them with it over the following two weeks. Never owned owned ferrets before, so I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong or not. We also have a breeding pair of Australian Shepherds that also serve to protect our chickens and pygmy goats from coyotes and foxea. Our ferrets will eat the chickens if given a chance, and our goats do not tolerate the ferrets presence in the least; they stomp, huff, and puff. Meatball, our male Aussie interposes himself between the ferrets and the livestock when ever he catches them harrassing them. Meatball will even come get me and whine like " Daaaaaaaaad, they are picking on the goats again!". . .
I live in Greece and there aren’t any ferret shelters in the entire country! I feel really bad for getting one from a pet store but that pet store is the only one that actually sells ferrets
I’m a volunteer at a rescue in Italy. Check on Facebook or google if there’s a ferret specific rescue near you or in your country (we move animals throughout the country via car rides that people offer for free). If there are no rescues in your country check on groups on Facebook and also second hand selling apps. Let me know how it goes ☺️ If you can’t find any fuzzies for adoption then look for a reputable breeder, one that doesn’t breed for money but for passion 😉
Unfortunately, there were not any rescues and still are not any near me. I also had to go to PETCO for mine and they came from Marshall Farms (it is a horrible place). One that just arrived was starving and had the longest nails. She was a big biter too. We also got a boy from there but Petco had, had him long enough to feed and groom him thankfully. Believe me when I say I wish I could save all of those poor ferrets... I am just glad I saved the two that I have.
Thank you so much for this video, I fricken hate frenchies and bulldogs and such because of the not breathing, and i was about to get an angora! I had no idea they had breathing problems!
I bought a ferret from a Pet Store and I asked questions about the ferret and they bought the ferret from a breeder not mills so I checked the breeder out and they good

- this is a simple one but wiggling a blanket over them or doing that thing where you lift the blanket to smooth it out. They love to jump up and grab the blanket by their teeth.
I hope this helps someone who is looking for cheap ways to entertain ferrets, my boys definitely love these.

I'm writing an essay on ferrets for school so this was perfect timing! It was originally supposed to be 5 paragraphs but I'm on my tenth now :')
@@genesis-fd5eh I am pretty sure it is a regular high school. I know for a fact my teacher would give us the assignment to write about a certain animal. I think it depends on the teacher really lol.
me who did a study on ferrets with 50 full pages 👁👄👁
I'm so glad people are talking real shit about ferrets. You have no idea how many assumptions and misconceptions I deal with on a daily basis.
My ferret adopted me... he just kept coming into my house randomly and it was my neighbors! They were mistreating him and he kept getting out of their house so they let me keep him :))
You stole him though
Elias Garci you didn’t read though. I said they LET me keep him 💀
Jade C. I can’t read
Same thing happened with my dog
How did it go?
eston smallwood so so well!
My ferrets are rescues
Edit: thx for the like!!!
Adopt don’t shop >:]
Straight facts. Don't cage your ferrets! Thank you for saying this! I only have one. She is indoor/outdoor and not depressed. We are best friends.
I just go a ferret from a cousin cause she couldn't keep him anymore. There's no history for him or where he came from and this video is a lifesaver. I'll definitely watch more of your videos!!
I found a local breeder near me. They don’t want to sell to me yet due to lack of ownership but they let me help them and care for them. I love it
My favorite is a boy named Sammy. He’s not too long for this world but he’s so sweet.
I'm glad I thought about looking at this video before I get a ferret, everything is going perfect
I love ATLA! It makes me so happy that you have ferrets named after Appa and Momo
my hamsters are also named appa and momo !! it’s such a cute name combo
I have been wanted to get ferrets forever! I wanted to adopt some older ones as I've never had them before but there aren't any for adoption in Sydney :( I hope ill be able to get some ferrets one day.
Update there are a few for adoption 🥴 time to start slowly convincing my parents
Convinced mine by saying they keep the mice away
Love it!!! We are getteing our rescue babies in 2 weeks, and we are SO excited!! Your vids are so helpful!!!🐾🐾🐾🐾
Emily Gregory how do you like them?
@@loriebedard3985 Sadly, the adoption has neen put off to this weekend, but I will let you know!😁
Emily Gregory ok 🙃
Emily Gregory what about now?
@@loriebedard3985 they are great! I wish we could send pics in the chat😥. We found out our older one has insullanoma. Other than that they are playful and healthy!
i just discovered your chanel and now you’re the only one i trust for tips:)
I adopted my albino ferret solo because his pair had died before I got him. After a year I finally got him another buddy and they couldn't be happier
Just got my whole prey grinds yesterday and I am on my way to raw feeding!
Your little white ferret at the start was so cute! It just rolled its head around and looked at the camera like:
Hello
Great content as always, Bryn! Thanks for looking out for the fuzzbutts out there. ♥️
the 'natural' coloration thing is probably just the ferret instance of the domestication phenotype in ferrets. Wolves also have much less color variation and spot patterns than dogs, and if you look at the experiments on fox domestication in the Soviet Union you see the same thing. Color and patterning variation actually tends to emerge even when the only thing you select for in breeding is friendliness toward humans! It's really wild (no pun intended)
you are litteraly my fav RUclipsr you inspired me to do pet care now my channel is pet caare
My local pet store gets their ferrets vet checked and will give you the vet record when you get a ferret from them, they also work on socializing etc. i know not all pet stores are like this, but im so glad i got my little girl from them
My parents got me a ferret from a pet store and I'm still learning more and more about the lil man I have
ur so lucky!! my dad won’t let me get one :(
also, this was a couple months ago, how’s the ferret?
If you are looking to adopt look at your near SPCA center 😊 I’m a volunteer at an SPCA and all animals are well taken care of an prices are affordable ❤️
this was such an amazing video. Idk why but on 12:25 tell me I'm not the only one who saw that piece of pet hair. anyway I love your channel with my heart and you inspire so many people and make a huge impact on the way people see their ferrets
Thank you for taking the time to make these videos, I was thinking of adopting one and now I'm not completely lost!
I agree so much! I would get ferrets but I have to think about my animals first. (Don't have much room don't want ferrets hitting my rabbits or other small pets) I still plan on getting ferrets in a few years.
AshFuzzyDucky I’m glad you are thinking about that before diving into it. :)
same I'm not sure if i could fit a ferret cage in my room
@@elizaddy_23 they dont need a cage but if you have other animals that could hurt them you may need one to put them in to leave the room
@@eviolus-5660 agreed
Your audio has a little echo, not much, but a little, but I found your video very informative.
just a note! when you reference brachycephalic dog breeds there is a bit of misinformation there.
They should have open, clear nares just as any other breed should with nothing overlapping (commonly seen in poorly bred English bulldogs and Pugs where a face wrinkle covers the nostrils)
I hope this was helpful! :)
Hiya! I just found your channel from this video and it is very helpful!! I already know I cant get a ferret because of my small living conditions but hopefully in the future I'll be able too and be then I'll have lots of knowledge from your videos :)
Omg!!! I’m feeling so bad!!! When she showed all the thing that you shouldn’t feed them with and I have all of them...
This is very helpful. I am currently waiting for my parents to talk about getting one of these carpet sharks. They are sooo cute
I’m looking to get two ferrets in about a year of research once my parents trust me to have another pet and this really helped with my research thanks
Can you do another reacting to subscribers ferret cage vid again I really enjoyed them❤️
Ferrets are the funniest pets ever.
I have an albino ferret kit and a hybrid polecat kit there so cute the albino never bites but the polecat id verry verry nippy but shes geting better after time so 😊
Raw is best!! I had 2 ferrets that were on raw! I loved them so much and both my dogs are on raw!!!!
Wowww this was soo helpful!! And I love that you have the timestamps in the comments
I’ve always wanted a ferret.
I'm getting a ferret in a month or two just because I'm moving but I'm so excited
I’m getting ferrets because of you
I am looking to get a ferret soon and this helped so much!!
I’m adopting a ferret next weekend and I can’t wait and i have taken in everything u said
When I move to California for college at UCLA like I plan too, I'm going to adopt a ferret for emotional support. Since right now I live in Louisiana.
Sadly, there are no breeders in my area, it appears the ONLY choice I have is the pet store I always go to for all my other babies. I have a dog 3 cats and until last week I had 2 rats but we lost one to old age😞(I feel her sister is not far behind).
I had ferrets previously years ago but for many years now have not been home enough or had the free time (kids, work, life, the usual) to give them the attention they love but I work from home now so am basically here 24/7 and finally have the time to get another one.....seriously leaning towards getting two😉
LMAO as I am writing this you are talking about raw diet which is another question I had👍🏻👍🏻.
I really enjoy your videos because when I first got my ferret there was a lot of videos to help me out
thank you for the helpful video! i just ended up with two ferrets and wanna give them the best home possible. they came to me with a disgusting cage that looked like it hadn't been cleaned posisbly since the owner got them. there were all sorts of bugs living in it. it was disgusting. the cage had a serious scrub down and the singular hammock they came with (no other toys :/) got washed. i've taken some spare hammocks my rats don't use, and some spare toys, and given them to the ferrets. the cage was in such bad condition that both ferrets got a bath (we thought they might have fleas or mites and wanted to be safe - don't plan to bathe them again). so sad they were kept in such poor conditions and probably never got outside time from their cage. but we'll work hard to keep the cage clean and let them out to play!
I really want to get a ferret!! I'm collecting as much info as i can!! Thank you for this!!
I’m getting my ferret Thursday I’m so excited
Here for the first and the newest one :)
This is so helpful this is the best BC I am getting a ferret soon thx for the help so much now I know how to take care of a ferret
Great video! Super informative (like always) I'm glad to have an updated version!
I just don't want my "future" ferret to be sad.
i'm pretty sure that if you spend a TON of time with them, it should be okay !! just give them a *lot* of attention and tlc
Thank you so much for this video! I took a lot of notes, I'm moving in with my dad soon and when I do he's going to let me get some ferrets!
my sister and i have been thinking about getting ferrets when we move, my mum doesnt want any but she said if we can afford to keep them happy and helthy we can. but, we have a rabbit, a dog, 2 cats and 2 chickens so im on the fence, sure i would love a ferret, but i dont know, my little sister is trying to get a bird too, i think it can work if
-birds and rabbits are in their "cages" (we dont keep the bunny in a cage, she has a whole room) when we let the ferrets out
- we lett the bunny and the bird out at the same time (our cats are fine with birds and rabbits, and will snuggle with them, and our dog sometimes gets hyper, she is a pretty calm dog tho)
- we make sure the ferrets are no where NEAR the chickens, who are outside, mostly in tho woods so it wont be a problem when we take the fettets for a walk.
Thank you so much for these ferret videos they are so much help and it helped me get my own two ferrets
I work at pet supermarket where we take care of our ferrets
Our breeders name is Donna and she takes very good care of them before they come to us
Edit: Oh yeah we make sure to handle them too🙃
Ps. They also come with one or more of their siblings
I didn’t know this video was coming but I’m so happy you made it!
I’m getting 2 ferrets for my birthday I’m really excited I’ve never really had a pet you can pet and cuddle
this!! will be very helpful because i definitely am going to get a ferret in the future
Writing a paper on why i want one and should get one i’ve researched for hours at this point and your videos help alot
Planning to buy one in a few weeks
Meatball will even come get me and whine like " Daaaaaaaaad, they are picking on the goats again!". . .
im sad now :( i want 2 ferrets but i have no shelters near me to get some i only have petco and thats where i was going to get them :(
Briana Johnson Same!! Now I don't know what to do 😭😭
I live in Greece and there aren’t any ferret shelters in the entire country!
Let me know how it goes ☺️
If you can’t find any fuzzies for adoption then look for a reputable breeder, one that doesn’t breed for money but for passion 😉
If you're in the USA, ferret.org, shelters & links, shelters
Wow I didn’t know about how bad kibble is thanks so much I will get 2 ferrets instead now :)
This was very helpful Thankyou
My aunt is a breeder and I'm getting one that us 1 year old and his name is felix cant wait
Thank you so much for this video, I fricken hate frenchies and bulldogs and such because of the not breathing, and i was about to get an angora! I had no idea they had breathing problems!
I bought a ferret from a Pet Store and I asked questions about the ferret and they bought the ferret from a breeder not mills so I checked the breeder out and they good
I'm planning on getting ferrets in the future, name ideas being Churro and Rocket
I finally had the guts to ask if I could buy ferrets and my mum said no , I feel really sad and I can’t stop watching ferret videos

Thank you so much I’m looking into to getting one and have doing some research
