I'm hoping McFarlane can bring back a good balance of sculpt and articulation at a lower price point, which will push the competition to follow (like the old days). The top 2 spots are $70-80 figures.
Yeah that would be great if McFarland could change the game like that. I really wish they would give us highly articulated Saga figures.
I think the diamond select did the best job in capturing the look of the homecoming spiderman adding the fact that the shoulders are not so broaden a bit in the feminine side which makes sense cause peter is just 15 or 16 in civil war and homecoming, really captures the look of a teen.

Bruh I'm not laughing that your figure broke but I am laughing that more reviewers are breaking thier figures on camera...I to have had some camera breaks but D has had the most breaks of us all...😂 mafex for the win for feel and possibility...Mezco is always behind mafex in the articulation department in my personal opinion another dope 1 doe bruh.
All good 😂. Yeah it broke pretty early on in the video so I had to just run with it. I don't think Mezco will ever catch Mafex in the articulation department.

From all those figures Select proportions I prefer the most. Also sculpt is more pretty on him. And it's 3 time cheaper than the winner

I think select can become something original, combining high quality sculpt, articulation and low prices.
And dude, Select's boxes are collectors friendly. Cuz of the clip from the left. Just gently cut blister from up, down and left sides and boom, you'll get functional box that can be closed.
ActionMan27 his whole legs are not the greatest, but sculptors that working in DS obviously very talented. When I look on this figure, I see a young man with correct muscle proportions. I don't have that feeling holding any import figures. They looks like kids in Halloween suits.

Mafex for me, with the Marvel Legend one being a very close second. Mafex always kills it on their Spider-Man figures. I also consider the unmasked head to be an absolute must have. The Mafex unmasked head looks better. The Marvel Legend one is good also, just way too big for the figure and really the line in general (also wish I hadn't had to buy the figure twice just to get it). Still love it though. I'm not a fan of the Mezco figures at all. I don't like the cloth goods. It hinders the articulation, and I'm always afraid it's going to come apart. The S.H. Figuarts one is decent, and IMO fits in better with the Marvel Legends than the actual Marvel Legends one (Tom Holland is really short!), but they are so prone to breakage that I tend to avoid getting them in general. Good list.
I really like the marvel legends. Its doesnt have too many body parts and doesnt break easily

I agree with the Mezco and Mafex versions, the firts with stetic and the second with the articulation.

This is the first one that is considered good as I heard all the previous versions were pretty loose so what do you mean by "always amazing"?
Seto Kaiba I don’t know about always, but their newer Spider-Man figures are very good. This homecoming one, the comic Spider-Man is great, and based on promo images we can assume the miles morales and infinity war iron spider figures will be good. And the mafex iron spider already seems to have topped the figurats and it’s not even out yet. Mafex homecoming and infinity war have similar articulation/body structure. Figuarts also has similar body structure between the two movies and as we’ve seen from this video the mafex body is better. Plus the mafex infinity war figure got the colors of the suit right.

Thanks! It's pretty unacceptable that a figure that expensive would break that easy. I don't feel like I was being to rough with it, so really there is no excuse.

I got the SHF when it first released, and and I think it's really great. I didn't bother getting the Mafex since I liked it so much, but I did per-order the Mafex 1.5 version. I don't have that weird floating belt on the SHF, at least no where near as bad as you seem to have it, and it's kept pretty sturdy for me since I got it almost 2 years ago. Plus I really like that you can interchange the eyes to get more expression out of the figure, something that no other company offers.

Totally was hoping someone was gonna do a video of all these homecoming Spidey’s!! So glad u did this! I’m in the same boat with u about the Mafex and Mezco 10000%!! I can’t stop playing with the Mafex version and he’s DEF in my top 10 figs in my collection as well (to a point where I bought a second one to have for when the one I’m playing with gets too loose! Lol!). For me, personally, I think my Figuarts would’ve been third amongst these 5, I really enjoy him and the quality (albeit the waist snapping off...that happened to mine as well, but got him replaced and have not had any problems since!) and feel to him is so good (Figuarts always feels so good in hand!). Mezco feels really good in hand and his articulation is smooth as butter but same as u, I’m afraid that pleather material will crack or just shred too. Anyway, awesome channel and awesome reviews, keep it up homie! ✊🏽✌🏽👍🏽💯💯

I use to love the Figuarts one but once I got the Mafex one, the sh was totally ignored. Yeah the Mezco feels good and moves nice but I just don't trust that material. I bought the mafex 1.5 version it’s amazing! Magnets are a bit weak though on a metal chair. Nice video though, I’m getting the Mandalorian next.

I don't own any MCU spideys, but I do have the Mafex Homecoming 2.0 on preorder. Looking forward to getting it. I was pretty close to getting the Mezco one for $30 with store credit, but backed out after thinking about the possible flaking of the suit

Thanks for your good comprehensive & informative review ! Sad to see you break your SHF ... did you end up fixing the joint ? I find it best NOT to force my figures into extreme poses & I also try and assess the engineering of a figure BEFORE pushing the joints to their limits. It makes me whince in others videos seeing their rough handling of a figure on camera & anticipate a breakge ! That said - I've had some expensive figures break on me without any undue pressure or even broken joints right out of the box ! Marvel Legends are THE sturdiest of the lot but sometimes lack the paint / sculpt, though still the best bang for buck. I waited and only bought the MAFEX Homecoming Spiderman, even though a big SHF collector, but the Mafex was far better, as per your review. I ALWAYS wish Marvel Select were in a 6 inch scale, even if that mean they compete head on with ML.

My personal favourite is the Select one. He looks the most satisfying and has some great articulation. Just wish he came with a backpack. Would’ve been nice.

Mezco is number one in my opinion.I dont really play with the figures so the most important thing for me is how movie accurate the figure is.I mostly collect hot toys so im very picky about the paint job and the head sculpt i dont care much for articulation.

I have the Marvel Legends and the Mezco Version... The problem with Bandai is that they always want the figures to be released at the same time as the movie so they always end up using the early art concept... Which results in poor looks and sometimes engineering, just like in this version... Sucks that it happened on cam bro... Thanks for the comparison video as always.. F

Nice review. I like the Mezco Spider-Man too, you can put Spidey into a lot of poses and he won’t break on you like yours did (sorry). I have the Marvel Legends Spider-Man/Iron Man 2 pack, they are great figures and are holding up well. I look forward to the new batch of Spidey figures from Far From Home.
