You won't see this, but here' some tips for roleplaying the Empire: What you did well: - Reiklanders making snubs at Middenland. That Middenheim college remark was beautiful. - Formation fighting. That's good. The Empire wins with human courage, discipline, and tactical skill, not by drowning foes in waves of conscripts and genetically enhanced freaks with pauldrons like a certain other Games Workshop human faction. - Plenty of comments about Sigmar. - Saying you've visited other Imperial provinces like Wissenland (Nuln). The Empire is basically Germany, so it's a lot easier for a single man to go to all those different famous places than it is in 40K. This can make for some fun jokes and comments. ("Eh, these zombies ain't that bad. Now, fighting them Norscans in Nordland, hoo, that's a doozy!" Overall, I think you guys did a great job. Everything after this is mostly if you really want to go above and beyond with being sons of Sigmar: Advice: - *The Empire is NOT the Imperium.* Pretty much everything after this is an elaboration on that. - Unlike the Imperium, the Empire is racially tolerant. Dwarfs in particular are well regarded by most Imperials, and Sigmar's friendship with them is very much remembered and (usually) maintained by both sides. (Though feel free to make jokes about other races; the Empire is basically Renaissance Germany, and most foreigners are regarded with some suspicion.) - Call out to more gods during play. The Empire is a polytheistic society, and while Sigmar is the most popular god in the Empire, Imperials pray to the other gods as well. @@IlDarunero yeah, such an unusual mod like the melee mod would not do well with a big player base. but that means you can have smaller Ops with bigger set dressings for that immersion lol. would you do it again?
We ended up finding our issues came from the Nassau units and something to do with the musket ammunition. We ran like a 62 person PvP the day after with the melee mod and had no issues.
