- With each new MCU project it seems so enters the next iteration of MCU heroes. With the most recent installment, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the next hero in the form of a youth and magic filled teenager has punched a star shaped hole into the future of the MCU. This incredible new hero has a long history in the comics, and now that she is being trained at Kamar Taj, her full powers could soon be realized. She has some of the craziest moves taught to her by some of the wildest teachers to ever exist in or outside the MCU. Just what are these special skills anyone would be happy to list on their resume? Let’s take a look right now.
Obviously the main power this teen wonder is known for is her ability to travel the multiverse. Essentially she has a built in sling ring, only the star shaped portal lets her travel through other dimensions. With a concentrated punch, she can open multiple portals that allow her and anyone she chooses to jump from universe to universe. But there are just so many other things she can do. She is definitely one of the most powerful young heroes who will be introduced into the MCU, and we’ve only scratched the surface. I enjoyed the character of America. I thought she and our Dr. Strange had good chemistry together. Of course I loved Wanda. The whole movie was stellar!!

Miss America def is gonna be one of the main players of Young Avengers. There is no doubt about that! Billy and Tommy Maxinoff, Joaquin Torres, Kate Bishop, Cassie Lang, America Chavez, Riri Williams, Eli Bradley. Imagine them including Runaways and Cloak and Dagger being apart of this incarnation

She didn't come across as powerful in MOM as this video makes her sound but this was her very first appearance and I'm sure she will display more power and abilities as her time in the MCU goes on
She literally opened a portal to the dimension with the Living Tribunal without even having control of her powers yet. I can’t even explain how insanely incomprehensible that feat is. When she can just control the dimension jumping alone she will be above anyone in the MCU currently. That’s Franklin Richards level of power

What do you think is the best thing about America Chavez in the comics apart from the fact that she can hop from one dimension to another? What do you think she is going to be like in future projects in the MCU when she finishes her training in Kamar-Taj?
I HOPE she’ll be more like the America in the comics - confident, stubborn, beats up any problem she comes across with her fists, all around badass.
When the dust settles on Avengers part 6, she's going to do Endgame Portals across the multiverse to bring in everyone you can think of to beat Kang.
Think about the actual Bully Maguire showing up, Old Man Logan, World War Hulk, Fasbender's Magneto

This character was a walking talking MacGuffin with no personality. Change her to a device that lets you travel the multiverse and the film is literally unchanged.
honestly though, in terms of the plot she was just an interdimensional portal gun that was flavor texted into a character
she has ONE moment at the end where she has agency and even then she just kinda opens a portal and stands there

And that is why the Wanda who was only a mother was fighting the Illuminati only shot small red hex bolts, and our Wanda as The Scarlet Witch had more powerful powers, but normal Wanda from the other universe won cause The Scarlet Witch gave her the strength and potential to win. I am still scratching my head over why they picked one of the worst character in all of Marvel history to include in the MCU. I mean nobody touched her comics, they were infamously bad.

There are just to much bullshit powers here. She has The Mary/Gary Stu problem Superman have. It works great in a good story where Mary/Gary is alone, and has to overcome a problem their powers can't solve. Problem is. When you group them up with other heroes their BS powers make all others useless.
So they either is stuck in the plot mcguffin that disable their powers, nerfed down to normal, or simply can't arrive on the scene until the last second a hero need a BS solution to their problem. Saitama from one punch man overcome this problem by being a satire, because he would solve every problem in one punch if he was in a serious story.
She is doomed to be hated, and bring every story she is down.
