At what price does jewelry insurance become useless? A $11,000 LGD ring from 2021 was insured and later lost (2023), but the Insurance Company settled the claim for $830. After the jeweler provided a detailed price breakdown (wax- moldings/materials/setting/labor,/LGD) the new settlement became $4,000. So, $3,170 was recognized materials and workmanship and $830 was the value of the LGD, but what about the other $7,000...That's a lot of "markup". If the buyer had chosen a 1ct Natural Diamond ($11,000), the insurance company would have paid 100%.
Beautiful set! How many mm is the cigar band?
3.70 mm! We also have an option set for 2 mm, it's called the Gianna 14K Yellow Gold Polished Cigar Band!
@@gagediamonds Thank you so much 😊
