I had never heard of her until Slow Burn and when I first heard the song I was mesmerised by her lyricism and melody, after that I listened to her Essentials on Apple Music and came to the conclusion that she is one of the best songwriters of our generartions .
She's our generation's Dolly Parton.

@@laug1576 THANK YOU. I read this and although I’m sure it’s meant with no malice it’s ridiculous. She’s amazing because she’s 30 but looks 20? Can women be amazing or praised without their looks being involved? Also yes, women with money tend to look younger for longer - filler and Botox are very accessible to them.

Great interview Sir Elton!!! I just LOVE Kacey!! She is the most real authentic original female country music artist in the business these days. She stays true to who she is, she writes her own music, sounds the same both live and on her records, and to top it all, drop dead gorgeous. I've been loving a list I've been loving and listening to Elton 47 years so I've been listening to him since I was a teenager and you say he's getting you through your 50s while elton's getting me through my sixties and I hope seventies and eighties and nineties if I'm around of course I have a good day I'm still standing
Elton's music get's me back to my teen years and still get's me theough life now as he did then 💖🥰

I love you Elton! I get emotional these days thinking about the first time I heard Tiny Dancer. I was there to see you on your first US tour in 1972 and just about every tour since. A very special show at Outside Lands in San Francisco stands as the best outdoor concert I have ever been to. I feel so fortunate to have lived in your time and witnessed such an extraordinarily gifted artist.

I’ve listened to Elton’s music since childhood, but I didn’t learn elton was a rock n’ roll icon until I came across his music again during my pre-graduation high school years and did some research.
My favorite thing to do as someone who wants to be an entertainer in the comedy sort of things; is to write a hilarious meaning to the songs and provide humorous commentary.
I may not have a knack for music theory or writing lyrics, but I do enjoy entertaining people and making them laugh. I also enjoy making myself laugh, too.
I also grew up on a lot of country music, I love jazz and alternative rock, too. In fact my favorite country artists are Marty Robbins and Johnny Cash.
I love her so much... turning country away from Trucks, Beer, and hunting. She is making songs about real things that can effect everyone.

Sean DeHaan I agree to some degree but these genres of music were developed after slavery. Also, blacks were living in other areas of the nation, but music was exploding in the South by blacks and whites.

It can't be just me, but has anyone else noticed that the opening piano riff on the original GYBR recording of Roy Rogers sounds EXACTLY like the opening keyboard riff of the INXS song, By My Side? Which was written nearly two decades after Roy Rogers.. They totally nicked it off Elton!! D:
