Japanese 7/11 stores sell good food at reasonable prices, that's all that the public ever wanted, why did it take the company this long to understand that?
It is because most transactions in Japan is still done with cash or thru train passes like Suica. If there is an option to pay with credit cards, its usually tap-and-go.

This plan might not work at all. 7-Eleven in Japan are convenient because it is walking distance near hotels, residential areas, train stations, and offices. Most 7-Eleven in the US that I've seen are located near Gas Stations or in business areas that are too far from where people are.
