I'm not an overtly emotional person. During the pandemic, my girlfriend and I were apart for over a year, I was absolutely fine, until I heard this song. Two years later, we live together again now, and I still tear up listening to this. But what a beautiful piece of music.
i know this comment will get lost somewhere in these threads, but all i wanna say is, i really appreciate you people who really listens to these sorts of amazing music's even in todays modern world. If i had the superpower of promoting these amazing artists overnight; i'd do that. But i can't since i dont own any marketing company. Tp all artists who takes their time to write meaningful, melodious music; God bless you y'all
630 am - my life long friend of 45 plus years sent us this song 3 weeks before she died peacefully of Cancer. Makes me cry every-time. Such a soulful song. I want to hear it every-time but it puts me in a real sad place.
I accidentally heard it in a pub stopping for a quick pint after a hard day's work.. it was playing so quietly but I could hear it was an absolute gem 💎 ✨️ 💖 I shazamed it now here I am sharing my experience, I love it and all his music now 🙂
What am I waking for? Am I waiting for a sign? That I'm brave enough to follow Can I just fail enough to bail out? I'm in my Wednesday suit I'm just so sick of this commute Are they always speakin' to me? Only advertisers know me Maybe I'm just fallin' away Counting down the days Trying to make a better mistake Call you when I land Don't think about the distance Do you understand? Not everything is missin' We're gonna figure it out Call me when you can Don't think about the future Maybe lend a hand 'Cause failure is a feature We're gonna figure it out I'm in Belvedere You said the air was crystal clear I get attached to my surroundings Like they know everythin' about me Maybe I'm just fallin' away Counting down the days Trying to make a better mistake Or maybe I'm just falling apart How'd we get so far? Trying to make a better escape Call you when I land Don't think about the distance Do you understand? Not everything is missin' We're gonna figure it out Call me when you can Don't think about the future Maybe lend a hand 'Cause failure is a feature We're gonna figure it out Call you when I land Don't think about the distance Do you understand? Not everything is missin' We're gonna figure it out Call me when you can Don't think about the future Maybe lend a hand 'Cause failure is a feature We're gonna figure it out
Such talented old souls, young men finding their way in the world, mesmerizing ,visually arresting touches, a great tune-video, I have been a fan of Old Sea Brigade, add Luke as well!.. missed the band when they passed through Boston, won't make that mistake again! love the Neil Young early ode to singer-songwriting heaven
I sang this song to my baby when I met her on the day she was born. I held her in my arms. Just her and I...and she just stared at me. Nobody was there, so it was easy to fall apart. :-)
Heard this in Tesco whilst shopping and stopped to Shazam it. Annoying everyone around me to find out what this beautiful song is, was very worth it. 🤣
I often cursed the music in Tesco as it was so repetitive, i dont now . I wouldnt have got to know and hear this wonderful song , just a beautiful track .
This song dropped in front of me while i was in tears how much i was missing home and my love and friends. Couldn’t express any better how i feel. I hope we all manage to get back to home to our loved ones 🙏🏼
I discovered this song in middle of COVID lockdown… it is now so linked to a period I cannot forget… so intense, so deep, so unique…. And the song is so underrated… I am a musician, and really feels the chords sequence and harmonies are just perfect… so nostalgic of the lockdown period… don’t ask me why… 😢
Indeed. I stumbled over this song via random Spotify picks and I was kinda disappointed that they cut out the epic outro in the music video here, because for me that's the highlight! Especially this effective usage of sixths is giving me goosebumps :)
I've always been a huge fan of Luke!! This song and his vocal is just so purely beautiful.. Thank the Gods above for this calming piece of art.. Love!Love!Love!!
I saw Luke three years ago at Ithaca State Theater. He was not the opening band, and I never heard of him before. I fell in love with him and his music right then and there. His voice is as smooth as silk, and his personality is wonderful. He is friendly, humble, welcoming, and has a fantastic sense of humor. He and The Sea Brigade are so under rated and unappreciated, except for people like me who go out of their way, literally, to hear music like this. Thank you to both of you, and keep up the great work. You truly are much appreciated!! ❤
Been married for 7 years and this would have been our song had we known. It is certainly our Seattle song just before the pandemic after I packed in my career when he was there and I was in the UK.
I was in Tesco and this song was on. I didn't have a clue who it was so I just Googled some of the lyrics and here I am. It reminds me of when I used to work in France and my other half was here is Manchester.
It never gets odd, listening to this wonderful piece all day(s) long ... just lovely and such a great collab! So glad you guys decided to release it, thank you
What a touching song! Stumbled over it via random Spotify picks and was like "Wait, is that Luke's voice?" Got to know some of his songs like 'My future', 'Bottled up tight' and 'Greatest Lovers' years ago. However, I was really disappointed when I found this music video was lacking the EPIK outro... To me, that's the best part. Amazing application of sixths, wow
To whoever needs this, The times that you find yourself in right now, remember that, this too shall pass just like everything else has. If you're at a high in your life, it shall pass. Do not do time the dishonour by taking it for granted. If you're at a low in life, remember more profoundly that it shall pass as well, that you will be whole again. That your broken and worn-out fragments are battle-scars and shall only make you more upright. Experience is the greatest teacher of all and life is but an amalgamation of the tiniest, truest, faintest but also the grandest of experiences. Let this tune flow through you, let yourself be. Let yourself not quarrel, not fidget, not worry. Let yourself have the privilege to be like water, to flow through. Give yourself time to heal, give yourself the space to heal. For humans have always healed and have always mended themselves in more ways than one. My friend, hide yourself tonight and tuck yourself away carefully for tomorrow shall bring to you what today couldn't. Let yourself have hope. ❤️
This song was on a playlist I listen too at bed time called "folk music playlist" love this tune and had to find more from these musicians. Listening from Nova Scotia. Cheers friends. ✌
Thanks to Spotify's new "DJ" feature..i found this amazing song. Just can't stop listening ... that fealing when a song just touches you in a weird way...french is my native tongue near fully bilingual...lyrics are touching but the musicality of this song is wow.

What else is your Spotify recommending?
Same here😁😁
Why isn't this song a global hit it has everything.
This is not what the world is looking to hear. This song hits well, but only in certain kinds of hearts.
@@mybestyearsi find it odd too. It has a really catchy tune. Lyrics are nice too. Should be a major hit.
The melody of this music is truly a foretaste of the kingdom of heaven to come 🙂❤️
This is one of my favourite songs of all time. I can’t believe this isn’t number one everywhere 😂
I'm not an overtly emotional person. During the pandemic, my girlfriend and I were apart for over a year, I was absolutely fine, until I heard this song. Two years later, we live together again now, and I still tear up listening to this. But what a beautiful piece of music.

You said the air was crystal clear
I get attached to my surroundings
Like they know everythin' about me

How'd we get so far?

I work at Tesco and kept hearing it, I thought it was super sappy at first but really like it now
No way, I shazamed this in a tesco too
In the last 4 weeks or so, in Tesco, I've heard this, Kruangbin and O C Smith.. What is Tesco doing, playing cool sounds?
Unless it's to take the pain of the cost away
I often cursed the music in Tesco as it was so repetitive, i dont now . I wouldnt have got to know and hear this wonderful song , just a beautiful track .
