This is fantastic! And what a peaceful, relaxing tour of the garden. I think your stone walls and trestles are fantastic. The ballast looks incredible and the trackwork flows perfectly. I'm super impressed by the banked curves, too! Honestly, sitting back and relaxing--just watching the train ahead--is so calming. Thank you for a very enjoyable tour on a fabulous railroad!

Thank you very much for the compliment. I’m happy you enjoyed the video. I’ve done a little more work on the railroad since then. Check it out on A trip around the garden railroad two video. Thanks for watching!

This is a beautiful garden railway with beautiful details. I'm not a fan of landscapes with a lot of stones (although my garden railway is also a stone desert with a lot of concrete due to too few plants), but I'm enthusiastic about the charisma. good job done.

Thanks for the comment. Over the course of time I’m intending to place more plants and landscaping along with a few buildings and a track into the covered patio. As you know with model railroads in any scale they are rarely completed. But that’s part of the fun!

    Chris -
Absolute awesome job ! You did a wonderful job creating your railroad.
Believe me when I tell you that I have seen Class 1 railroad tracks where the cross-level wasn't as good as yours .
Your rolling stock doesn't rock back and forth from side to side !
    GREAT JOB OLE BUDDY

Thanks Tim, that means a lot coming from someone who spent most of your life building and maintaining the real thing.

This was so neat! The detail is amazing. Takes me back to my grade-school days with my HO-scale train that I set up on a plywood table and built paper mache mountains and a lake of painted glass for a lake. I'm curious if the tracks here are connected to the cool little gravel bed designed for them, and if so, how? Anyway, it's a great video, and it looks like a fun project. Well done!

Thanks I appreciate the compliment. The rock’s definitely make it easier to control weeds. And I too like the way they look. I’m going to upload another video soon with more plants that we’ve put in. Thanks for watching.

WOW, what a lovely railroad you have built there, Chris.
That super-elevation is really effective and all your trestles are so well integrated.
Quick question: how much track (length) have you used?
    Many thanks from South Africa.

So far there is 240 feet of track down with another 40 or so left to build into the sun room.

What sort of camera did you use for this video? And how small was it too?

    • @cbt1960
      @cbt1960  11 месяцев назад +1

It’s my iPhone. I just set it on the locomotive and let it go. The only problem is the camera is offset from the centerline of the tracks. Thanks for riding along! Please subscribe!
