Just stumbled onto this combination, being a little farther north in the transition zone, I have listened to some guys just north in st Louis that start with the Bermuda first, then knife in the KBG. How did you do the Bermuda into the KBG?
The only recommended way to do it is seed KBG into established bermudagrass. My front was KBG until the bermuda started coming back and it has not been a pretty transition.
Took a trip to Oklahoma last week, had my first encounter with Bermuda(knowing what it was) and ill happily keep away from it, but i still enjoy your videos.
The front looks amazing. I will be “throwing err down” at the end of summer. Cool season seed not miss applying chemicals. Tired of only having a green yard in the summer.
Thinking of going to Bluemuda in my NE OK Bermuda! I don’t reel mow and typically mow at 2 inches. See any issues making this transition? Need to figure out steps and timing for my area.
2 inches is rather tall for Bermudagrass. That would make for a sweaty messy late summer scalp to prepare for the KBG seeding. The taller HOC may increase the chance for disease.
It's still looking pretty damn awesome to me. Even the blotchiness doesn't look that bad. Not too bad looking considering now water. I wonder if the Bermuda will fill in thicker in those areas and less kbg will fill in fall. 🤔 time will tell
Solid in depth video bro! Your knowledge on Bluemuda is untouchable. Keep on keeping on!
Wait for the next one.
@@ReelLowDad on pins and needles!
Great video, I need to apply Tnex to mine asap. I liked where you did a real time walk through of the transition. Nice!!
Today is Tnex day for me.
I’m going with the ol’ fescmuda. It’s very unsightly, but the color is okay.
Haha! I have that problem too. Fescmuda. I like it 🤣
Still looking good. It looks even better in person. Can't wait to do my own Bluemuda.
New to channel. Awesome yard! Did you plant Bermuda into KBG or KBG into Bermuda?
Welcome. I planted KBG into Bermuda
@@ReelLowDad do you think its doable to plant bermuda into kbg?
Still love the concept of bluemuda. Glad to see you are making it work well for you
When I go 1/2” I’ll be looking at this Tnex
😆👊🏼
It is amazing stuff!

Arden 15 isn’t hybrid Bermuda?
Nope as it has 36 chromosomes
