10 years later and this album is STILL a major inspiration. The world wasn't ready for MTH, hopefully someday we'll see them return when the public is ready for puke rock
so refreshing to see a "recording sessions" video that actual documents the recording process. usually it's just some dude TALKING ABOUT recording the album. massive props to MTH.
no this is the machine shop with will putney dude! this guy has made the last two like moths to flames records, the newest texas in july record, and a ton of other great albums
I can already tell this is going to be one of the best albums of 2013. Sounds like a huge step up from their last album. I can't wait for a release date to be announced!! Shit. Will. Get. Real.
What I'm wondering is how they got the sound on 15:14 I mean I've tried it with a very high gain setting on my boss pedals and I don't get the pew pew sound there getting I think I'm doing the same technique but its just not coming out right
This so sick, it feels like you go at some the stuff and do it all in one take, kinda like a live recording, which is really cool; because it gives a much more live feel.
As a drummer I always liked to do the drums in one take instead of patching in, but that's just me. Does anyone know what city these guys are from and if they're still at it hopefully?
Can anybody explain (in detail) what they are doing with the speaker and guitar at 13:25 ? I understand that the speaker is creating feedback with the guitar pickups but how is the feedback being recorded? Is the speaker being used as a mic?
They're recording through the guitar, so only the guitar signal gets recorded. That's why they're able to talk while they're recording. The speakers are just letting them know what the signal sounds like.
Hi there! First of all, I really really love your album, it's badass! My question is: did you record the guitars with somekind of plugin? Or was it miking the amps? thanks! =D
is this pre pro or what? I have never seen a studio record like this. I mean if the DIY sound of "I made this dope ass record in my bedroom" is the style youre going for then fucking go for it. Cool shit guys:)
10 years later and this album is STILL a major inspiration. The world wasn't ready for MTH, hopefully someday we'll see them return when the public is ready for puke rock
Whos here in 2022? I absolutely LOVE this album. Not a single skippable track for real.
10 years later and this album is still in constant rotation in my music life.
It never lets me down.

Pleasure smoking a cigg with you guys, loving the old nu metal vibes in this new shit, keep it up
This just gave me chills. Holy shit.
Since I heard you guys at a concert with Beartooth, you have become easily my favorite band.
if this album doesn't take them to the next level in their career, then the world is stupid
To bad they took a step back and decided to go with what every other band is doing for a sound. And haven't made music in over 6 years now
This exceeds expectations! Sounds incredible.
I wish you guys would've filmed the recording of Unreal 🤘
Beyond stoked to get the album
Went to the Strangers Only tour and the new songs are pretty sick. So ready for this album.
Derek is a great singer! I was so confused about MTH's prev album and ep. Im bummed that Derek wasn't the one singing in the prev release!
I can't wait anymore ! RELEASE PLZZZZZZZ
Awesome! hopefully theres more videos like this!
When I watch this, I have no short attention span. What so ever. :)

I can already tell this is going to be one of the best albums of 2013. Sounds like a huge step up from their last album. I can't wait for a release date to be announced!! Shit. Will. Get. Real.
I really hope you guys release a Studio Diary for the upcoming album as well :)
What I'm wondering is how they got the sound on 15:14 I mean I've tried it with a very high gain setting on my boss pedals and I don't get the pew pew sound there getting I think I'm doing the same technique but its just not coming out right

10:53 I have that exact poster in my room :D the one with the skull
27:28 minute video? heck yess!
Marshall kills that song in one take.
As a drummer I always liked to do the drums in one take instead of patching in, but that's just me. Does anyone know what city these guys are from and if they're still at it hopefully?
So much Linkin Park in this, loving it!
Yeahhhhhh NO
This is way better than any LP bullshit.
That banana tank top is sick. Anybody know the company?

how long do we have to wait till we can actually hear the first track?
Hi there! First of all, I really really love your album, it's badass! My question is: did you record the guitars with somekind of plugin? Or was it miking the amps? thanks! =D
does marshal still have his savior kit?
Release the song that has the part in 15:29
the end screaming reminded me alot of Corey from Slipknot
Did they mention when it was being released?
Strange mic choice. I usually use it for snares or cabs, never thought about using a it for vocals. I guess if he can make it sound good!
Are you guys still on Rise? Or going to get signed to Bridge Nine, Deathwish or Mediaskare instead? Haha
from what I can hear it kinda reminds me of old linkin park. thats actually really cool
Is that an i5 used for vocals??
reminds me of the chariot!
AWWW SHIT THAT DELAY WORK
Honestly you guess should keep going in this direction instead of playing that djent shit from your old albums because this album has feeling man.
is this pre pro or what? I have never seen a studio record like this. I mean if the DIY sound of "I made this dope ass record in my bedroom" is the style youre going for then fucking go for it. Cool shit guys:)
Wait till you find out how they recorded “let it be” Good bands and good producers make good music.
Were you recording vocals with an SM57?
Audix i5
i think its spit not chewed
Does anyone know what the guitar Derek is using is? I know it's a Gibson, but what model
Can't say for sure but it's more than likely as les paul studio.
Linkin Park? I hear more of Suicidal Tendences, Life Of Agony, Mudvayne and Rage Against The Machine instead
Drain
5:00 PAINFULLY BORED
