how do people hate this kid? It takes hella balls to pursue something that much as a young kid. Mad respect

I wonder how stupid the haters felt when they realized he was scoring champion in two elite Canadian tournaments

He moved to Canada, which means he'll likely acquire Canadian citizenship and ultimately play internationally for Canada as Japan's national team is....well draw your own conclusions.

If we spend less time worrying what others think, and more time working, then we can do great things. Aito is a great example of something bigger than himself, and the game of hockey. It's a story about a kid who did everything you weren't supposed to do. Inspiring others along the way. Go get yours, whatever you do.

I think it's more impressive how fast he's learning English.

He’s a great player don’t worry about what people say, you can be a great player no matter how small or how big where you come from it just matters how much you train to get better at the sport you love playing

This is the best video GoPro has made/featured. It doesn't just highlight legit skill, but it highlights a bigger issue: How to support your players/kids when playing any sport. Support them, help them along and be positive towards them. Just because your kid missed the game winning goal doesn't give you the excuse to give your child hell. Just encourage them nothing more.

I think this kid has devoted his life to the sport he loves so in stead of dragging him down push him up make him go the extra mile and one day you'll look back and say hey I supported that kid

This is absolutely amazing! Having someone to support just a passion in general is key. Keep killing it on the ice little man and keep that head high! Can't wait to so you on the next impressive video!
