    OMG! Considering the game does not officially end when Mars is terraformed (in solo), you now have 11 more generations to fill the entire board!! Nice job!

      I would guess that with the discounts and income built up from raw TR built up, one could play most if not all of the remaining deck. I would think the only limiting factor would be finding a way to draw enough cards since she's already used quite a bit of the card draw cards here in the first gen. But from just the card draw showing and buying all 4 cards in research phase, that's another 70 cards. With 208 cards originally in the deck, and the 41 she's already played, she'd just need to find a way to draw another 97 cards to get the entire rest of the deck in her hand. But of course since the planet has already been fully terraformed, almost any card with a max parameter would now be unplayable. I know there's 2 other cards which let you draw and decide to buy, so that could be another 20 cards, a card that lets you spend an energy to draw a card for another 10. But I can't think of any others in the base game that would let one draw any more cards. So, maybe at most you could get it down to 67 unplayed cards.

      Nice!
      If the aim is to use as many of the cards as possible, I would play with Point Luna instead. It would be possible to use every single one of the 215 cards then (208 + 7 project cards from Prelude) - even when completing the global parameters in gen 1. Of course, some of the cards would be discarded. But no remaining cards in the deck. Pretty cool.
      OR... I could have just placed a tremendous amount of non space cards, when revealing cards for the prelude card Acquired space agency...
      But of course, it's more fun to actually play them.

    Fun to see some one post a gen 1 solution for Vitor.
    There’s a couple of other valid solutions, and I’d bet people would love to see you show the other corporation gen 1 full terraforming solutions!
    I suppose the more experienced competitive players might have already seen them, but it’s a spectacular educational resource for newer players looking to increase their theory knowledge.

      Thanks! I do have several gen 1 full terraforming solutions (7 corps and one without preludes), but I'm not convinced that it would be that interesting to watch more of these videos, since the game plays have so much in common.

    really impressive puzzle, and maybe even more impressive, doing it all, without a single mistake, in one go :0
    cool things to have, a "cards in hand" counter, but you did announce it sometimes with "only 1 card left", which lets us wonder which one it is ^^
    also wondering how much $/ti you have left when doing this with point luna?

    So as I understand, the challenge is to terraform Mars in 1 generation, but you can pick the 10 cards at the beginning? :)
    it sounds like a very sweet challenge.
    I will definitely try this today! :)

    • @stinajohansson

    I LOVE to see this! I tried doing this myself several years ago but could only do it in two gens: ruclips.net/video/Cs2Ko_Bz2kI/видео.html. Is it possible to do it in 1 gen with just the base game?

    • @stinajohansson
      @stinajohansson  Год назад

      I'm glad you like it! You've been an inspiration.
      I honestly don't think it is possible to do it in 1 gen with base game only. You will either have too few cards or too little money. It is possible though to do it in 1 gen without prelude cards.

  • @Luke-qq2qw

    Stacking cards defeats the entire point of the game - which is project management given what you have. I mean is infinite lives Metal Slug runs fun? Or one-hit-kill Dark Souls run? The novelty wears off quickly. Kudos to you for pulling it off. But I'll stick by the rules.

    • @CrimzinEclipse2010
      @CrimzinEclipse2010 Год назад +3

      The whole point of TM strategy is to synergize card effects together for maximum effect.
      She happened to do that brilliantly in this video, and it was all legal according to the rules.

    • @Elvendertig1130

      @@CrimzinEclipse2010 Legal? She stacked cards. How is that legal?

    • @CrimzinEclipse2010
      @CrimzinEclipse2010 Год назад +1

      @@Elvendertig1130 In Terraforming Mars, it’s perfectly legal to stack card effects together.
      For instance, if you’ve played one card that says “all cards played are 2mc less” and another card that says “all cards played are 1mc less”, then that means that every card you play from there after are a total of 3mc less.

    • @absentchronicler9063

      @@CrimzinEclipse2010 i think they mean that she set up the draw deck before starting the game. It is kind of cheaty but there is a small chance this exact order of cards can be drawn in a real game

    • @CrimzinEclipse2010
      @CrimzinEclipse2010 Год назад +8

      @@absentchronicler9063 That makes sense.
      Obviously, pre-selecting the deck to get an exact card draw is cheating, but this vid was more of a theoretical simulation of how is technically possible to pull off what she did, rather than an actual game.
