Good results, It's getting to the point many detectors are getting great results, side by side, it could come down to Prices in making a choice. Nice way to do the testing.. Thanks.
Dan ,I've loved your videos from the start but your film work is just exceptional.I didn't notice before because I didn't know the difference but sure can tell that you're doing a grade A job! also, splendid test.Great job!
Video editing is amazing been great to see you improve, I'm sure it will continue that way! Keep the videos coming, always a good day when you upload! Cheers Dan!! 👍🏼
As usual, a super review! The Makro Racer 2 really performed well on the beach if you also realize that it picked up the coin deeply buried in beach sand AND at the same time in sea water! It appears to be a super machine. Now you need to use it to find real targets in a variety of environments for the final test (durability!). Good job Dan - a nice professional video!
great revieuw ! the enthousiasm and honesty of youre video is what inspires me the most . thank you for this . i am a tesoro guy , have searched whit a minelab too but the weight and slow recovery kills the hobby for me . this detector is a great detector obviously .. keep posting man !!
Well Dan I think after about 15-16 revues, yours being basically the final word, I have decided that my next detector will likely be the Makro Racer 2. I was thinking about the Whites MX Sport, but I have an AT Pro which basically does the same thing without the backlit screen so I think I will like this one better. I have occasion to be pissed at that screen and the 15" coil can be heavy at times so I think that even though the Makro is not waterproof, I have a strap and I just will use the AT Pro when I know I will get in the water and only use the Makro for dry hunting and wet sand. Thanks for your good review!
Great info/review Dan. It'd be great if they made the housing waterproof. Down to 3m would be good enough. That way...just in case you drop it in the drink, you're safe.
love 2 try this on my beach here in oz i got the at pro after watching your videos, great detector but as you know only good on dry sand .great videos as all ways i want one
Ok....well done Dan.......Im not buying a new detector until next year. This one is on the list...Technology is changing all the time. Garrets new 300i looks very impressive for the money. The Ace series of Garrets is being updated, and Im wondering if the AT series is also going to be updated.
I find the AT Pro works really decent with the NEL Hunter 12" coil, but doesn't have the finer adjustments of the Makro Racer 2. I think to up my game a bit more I will need those adjustments.
Hi Dan hope your well 👍 just bought my makro racer 2 on the beach at portsmouth we have a little wet sand when the tide is out but the beach is 90% stones/pebbles etc would you still use "beach mode" on the stones/pebbles? Many thanks 👍
As always, fantastic reviews and video's. But when are you going to do a review on Nokta impact. I've recently purchased the nokta impact pro and couldn't find matching wireless headphones. So bought a pair of makro racer 2 headphones. Took some research, managed to pair them together. Would love your input on this machine with wireless headphones. Cheers Dan. from another Dan.
That was really good testing. I'm really surprised by the performance of the the new machines that came out lately...they seen to give you alot more for your money. Why an e-trac or deus if you can have this for about half the price. Impressive!
Dan, that macro 2 is impressive out there in wet sand. Well done. Are you going to do some tests with the Nokta Fors Relic? I'm dying to see that one in action. I want one but refuse to take another step on it until I see you put it thru the paces. Thanks and hope to see that one soon. HH and ATB.
Can you do a beach test with a gold ring dan..please. just to reasure that it can deal with it...im am two thirds covinced and am thinking of buying one....great vid ATB
I've always wanted to buy a metal detector. Main problem is that the place where I live is so littered with all kinds of metal that there is nothing good to be found. I borrowed one once and searched for 6 hours. Found over 200 things, of which only 4 coins (worth 30 cents because they were only 5 years old...)
Does it have a water resistant coil? The induced currents in silver and the resultant decay of the magnetic field are shorter than the field in the iron nail. Imagine a target made of iron, aluminium and lead, that would be fun. Watching all your videos, I personally like to hear the audio tones as you pinpoint the target. Other channels are useless when we can't hear what you hear.
dan, I'm new to metal detecting. first timer. I just bought a bounty hunter land ranger pro. have you ever tried these out? if so, how are they on the beach in your opinion? thanks dan!
Dear Deep Digger Dan, Would it be possible to marry a metal detector to a drone? So it could hover just above the ground, and fly a "pattern " that one could then plot out? That might be good for a large area, before actual digging starts at potential larger sites. I just wondered if you have ever done that, or heard of anyone doing that.
Sir, I am mainly looking for large treasures and coins. How much can I increase the depth of large coils purchased online? Fifteen centimeters? A football sized metal, buried in 80 cm, can be detected? Can you recognize it?
i had a metal detector and whenever i bumped it it would beep and whenever i would swing it from side to side it would beep we took it back and it was faulty, so im gonna get a Garrett, do you know where i can get one from, Dan?
If you ever reach a big milestone on your chanel you should go detect on the islands in the Pacific and try to find some Japanese or American ww2 gear!
Hey Dan, i was wondering if you will go out in the field with this one ( without bungle) so we can get a reall impression of this detector. .. i myself own the nokta fors core which is quite an impressive machine as wel, however, i am considering swapping it. but what I've seen so far on you tube about the makro 2 is that the vdi numbers aren't that solid. They always jump around, while if i find coins with the nokta, it's rock solid, it doesnt change if it is a coin. so before digging i know for 95 % sure it's a coin. So will you please make a video of this one on finding coins and especially how solid the vdi numbers are? Greets from Peter, Friesland, the Netherlands
+Deep Digger Dan That's too bad , we face the same problems here ( with field permissions ..) anyway, would there be a chance you will be detecting more with the Makro, or is this a temporary detector / just for reviewing?
well the makro racer 1 , wasnt this good on the wet sand , it's more a relic machine on wet sand you pick big item for sure , like horse shoes and stuff alike. One thing to take in consideration too , is how mineralized is your sand. like you said in the video the best thing to do is to try to borrow the detector you are willing to buy and try it in your own beach. The makro 1 wasnt liking the rocks too, it look like the vlf is bouncing off some rock and it falsing bad. on 1 euro in wet sand of my beach i got it at 1,5 inch max with the makro 1.
It's overpriced for not being waterproofed unlike the MineLabs unit. I guess you're paying for the depth capability and extra functions. Maybe make a video showing it in 3 Live Digs? Great video anyway D.D.Dan!
D.D.D. we need you to get to work we need new videos! "I don't know" what is going on I don't know , but, we need you to get with it this is a request thanks' for any new videos you can make thanks D.D.D. "come on get in"!!!! p.s. you need to copy right come on get in and sell t shirts and mugs and stuff just thinking ! may God Bless and keep you D.D.D.
"Feels like a toy, but performs like a monster..." Love that line...great review DDD.
Thanks for the comeback! Your videos are so entertaining, keep up the great work.
Fantastic testing results. Love the uniform.
i didnt think that setting a detector up was so involved you learn something new everyday thanks for Video Dan brill as normal
Video editing is amazing been great to see you improve, I'm sure it will continue that way! Keep the videos coming, always a good day when you upload! Cheers Dan!! 👍🏼
You must be spending lots of time on the beach...prepping for the epic journey in the summer...looking forward to your vids then.
I have to say Dan, the intro was amazing! Keep up the great work!
As usual, a super review! The Makro Racer 2 really performed well on the beach if you also realize that it picked up the coin deeply buried in beach sand AND at the same time in sea water! Good job Dan - a nice professional video!
+Forensic1Man

great revieuw !
the enthousiasm and honesty of youre video is what inspires me the most .

i am a tesoro guy , have searched whit a minelab too but the weight and slow recovery kills the hobby for me .

Great review of the Macro Racer on the beach!! You make every video fun even if its serious!
I'm was thinking about getting a Makro, this model now looks like the one I want.
Extremely good review ! Dan you are a pro now !
Well Dan I think after about 15-16 revues, yours being basically the final word, I have decided that my next detector will likely be the Makro Racer 2. Thanks for another great video. Loving your channel.

Nice test I'm impressed with what it can do.
Good review there Dan.
very impressive . I still have my AT PRO that shies as soon as it sees sand LOL. Bye the way I got that dectnick cordless set for it and I love it.
AWESOME DAN !!!
ya know I will be soon getting into metal detector because of you Thank you
Great tests Dan!
Tough life in your office. I think a MAKRO 2 is in my wifes future. Thanks.
Good video and a brilliant review, dont forget your penny!
very informative good job mate.

Very good review Dan. Just put me in a quandary the makro or the nokta, i think i will have to flip a coin, a very old coin!!!!!!.
Trouble is my old coin is worn so smooth on both sides you can't heads or tails.
great job dan
Great video dan
Just bought a used one to use on the beach, My Garret AT pro did'nt quite cut it on the beach.
Hi Dan hope your well 👍 just bought my makro racer 2 on the beach at portsmouth we have a little wet sand when the tide is out but the beach is 90% stones/pebbles etc would you still use "beach mode" on the stones/pebbles? Many thanks 👍
+Deep Digger Dan thanks for the reply, if it wasn't stable and started to beep what would you suggest to do?
Hallo Dan
Das hast du super Gemacht. Gefällt mir. Gruß aus Buttenwiesen! Servus
Nice Test!
Dan, you're sooooo testy! Great Review.... Beach is beautiful! Later, Anna
great video dan.

Have to have that machine, it will be mine o yess it will be mine
he has the same metal detector that I do that's so cool 😊
Great review Dan. Are you going to use this on you walk? What detectors are you going to use?
I've always wanted to buy a metal detector.
Main problem is that the place where I live is so littered with all kinds of metal that there is nothing good to be found.
I borrowed one once and searched for 6 hours. Found over 200 things, of which only 4 coins (worth 30 cents because they were only 5 years old...)
Looked good dan did you carry on after the test did you find much
What do You end up doing with all the metal you got
Does it have a water resistant coil?
The induced currents in silver and the resultant decay of the magnetic field are shorter than the field in the iron nail.
Imagine a target made of iron, aluminium and lead, that would be fun.
Watching all your videos, I personally like to hear the audio tones as you pinpoint the target.

Dan. How is this compared with the Makro Racer 1 metal detector?
nice review ...... Booker steve
are you also going to do it with the nokta relic
Which garret can you use best on the beach, under water and in forest? Does anyone know?
dan, I'm new to metal detecting. first timer. I just bought a bounty hunter land ranger pro. have you ever tried these out? if so, how are they on the beach in your opinion? thanks dan!
@Deep Digger Dan I have a metalldetektor-cs150 can you please say HOW the heck you set it in metal mode i cant figure it out :/
Great test! Will there be a land test also?
Dear Deep Digger Dan,
Would it be possible to marry a metal detector to a drone? So it could hover just above the ground, and fly a "pattern " that one could then plot out? That might be good for a large area, before actual digging starts at potential larger sites. I just wondered if you have ever done that, or heard of anyone doing that.
+William Pietschman Good idea, atleast someone has tried it: dirkgorissen.com/2015/11/05/drone-based-metal-detector-proof-of-concept/
Sir, I am mainly looking for large treasures and coins. How much can I increase the depth of large coils purchased online? Fifteen centimeters? A football sized metal, buried in 80 cm, can be detected? Can you recognize it?
Dan what do you think about the X-terra 705? As an all around Machine.
Great tips, any chance you can get out with the Nokta Fors Relic Hunter soon?
+Deep Digger Dan Great, look forward to seeing if it lives up to the bench test.
i had a metal detector and whenever i bumped it it would beep and whenever i would swing it from side to side it would beep we took it back and it was faulty, so im gonna get a Garrett, do you know where i can get one from, Dan?
.. anybody else? ..
Hey deep digger Dan I live your video
Ciao bravo ottima recensione :-)
If you ever reach a big milestone on your chanel you should go detect on the islands in the Pacific and try to find some Japanese or American ww2 gear!
Will you be selling this! once you're done reviewing it?
Good times.
where do you get your medal detecters
Dan, you should check out the bounty hunter tracker iv
It is under $100 (don't know how much that is in pounds) and it works real well in my opinion
+Deep Digger Dan for your viewers who want to start in the hobby
Dan were r u, I am having Danic attacks, no new videos for over a week!!!!!!
Hello from Russia ,good channel, lots of interesting videos with my class and subscription support and my beginner channel...
Hello Dan, how are you?
Beast mode
Hello I want to get into metal detecting and what would be the best one to buy for £80
well the makro racer 1 , wasnt this good on the wet sand , it's more a relic machine on wet sand you pick big item for sure , like horse shoes and stuff alike.
What camera do you use?
+Deep Digger Dan ok I was just wondering
So is this your new machine that your going to use? If not, why not?
Wow it can find metal in sand. Where's Bungle, what have you done with him?
Bungle died a few days ago
Probably an std he picked up in the rainbow studio.
It's overpriced for not being waterproofed unlike the MineLabs unit. I guess you're paying for the depth capability and extra functions. Maybe make a video showing it in 3 Live Digs? Great video anyway D.D.Dan!
+Alimin8r The Makro Racer 2 is really second to none when it comes to separation. That ability beats out it's depth.
D.D.D. we need you to get to work we need new videos!
Does that detector come with a cup holder for my beer?
keep up it up bro .no thank you
and the batteries go on forever I keep checking when are they going to give u p great machines
Where is the digger done
Where do you live again making
