THE CINEMATOGRAPHY ACT 1952( PART-1) notes with explanation

Films can be publicly exhibited in india only after they have been certified by the central board of film certification (CBFC). The board set up under the cinematography act 1952 consist of chairman and a minimum 12 and maximum 25 non official members,all appointed by the government l.
The board function with headquarters at mumbai and nine regional offices at bangalore, Kolkata,Chennai,Hyderabad,guwahati, thiruvananthapuram,New Delhi, and cuttack.
The regional offices are assited in the examination of films by members of advisory panels, which includes eminent educationist, art-critics,journalists,social workers,psychologist etc.
