>found my old gameboy camera >can't back it up using my gameboy back up device >look into alternatives >youtube recommends me this video How pleasant! The algorithm gave me something good for once.
Oh hey! I had no idea you made youtube videos! Been following you online for YEARS, but dropped off of social media a while ago and now suddenly youtube here recommended me this video! What an actually genuinely wonderful surprise! Browsing your other videos I'm already so excited to hear you talk more about ART!
For some reason this video got put on a bunch of new people's recommendation lists last night! I'm glad that it found you and you like it. Thank you :)
MARIO PAINT! MARIO PAINT! MARIO PAINT! (this is me crying out for the Mario Paint video btw) Also, your enthusiam is genuinely so infectious and inspiring, absolutely adore your videos! Keep up the fantastic work!
i knew about this before as hearing about it from you, and didn’t really see the hype. but watching you explain and go into depth about it and how excited you get is so wonderful. im definitely gonna go check out your gallery :)
wow this is super cool!! thanks for making this video, i never used the gameboy camera either, and i only vaguely knew what the pictures actually looked like, so seeing the cool artistic fun pictures people have made with it was super surprising! it really does make it look almost cartoonish to a degree. i've been getting really into making pixel art lately so these pics are super inspiring! i'll definitely check out your game too :D
Thanks for the great video! Yes, the thermal paper for Game Boy Printer was expensive, and proprietary, but it also had an adhesive backing. It printed stickers! So it had that going for it. 😌 Much love and nostalgia for my Game Boy Camera.
Great video! I've always wanted to learn more about the GB camera since it was a little before my time (same with Mario Paint). Would love to see a Mario Paint video too!
Definitely something I have considered!! I have never actually used it since I never had a DSi, but it is so influential that I'm tempted! Ive also thought about discussing "colors" for the ds.
@@CatherineGraffam That would be such a cool video if you choose to make it! and if you do you might want to look at sudo memo its basically a recreation of the online side of flipnote so you can still upload and watch other people's flip notes from the DSi
I was alive in 1998 and this camera seemed mind blowing at the time. yes 30 photos was impressive. I always wanted a game boy and never got one. Your video (geek points btw!) has reopened my unmet childhood desires. i guess i’m going on ebay tonight 🤣
this was a super cool video glad you are getting into game development let me know if you ever need an assistant or anything when youre making anything really cool
NEW CAT VIDEO? NEW CAT VIDEO!! i haven't finished watching yet but I can't wait to say yessssss I wanna hear more about Mario Paint and other painting/art games too! 🥺🙏
honestly as a painter this technology makes me think about how interesting and limiting it would be to create works directly from photos taken from the GB camera but the poor art student in me weeps at the lack of money in my bank account to try it LOL
Kinda hope some makes a GB camera mod of VR chat.... Imagine a world littered with GB cameras that you can pick up and use to take photos that emulate the GB camera experience. Also MARIO PAINT \0/
Hi! Question.. How did you do it to transmit from the gb camera to the computer? Or could you help me with some advice to record the screen of an analogue pocket
I would love, no only, a video about the Mario Paint and Artist games, but also It would be awesome to see what u can do with the sewing machine for the GB... Idk, i think it's something u could try to extract all the artistic features from Nintendo of the past
Oh snap! I shoplifted a Game Boy Camera in '98. They had the Pokemon games in hardcore anti-theft boxes, so I had to "settle" for this much more pricy, much less secure item. It was my pride and joy. Wish I would've snatched a Game Boy Printer with it, though.
the actual normal footage looks more low fi than the game boy camera one, just look at it, looks like a 8 mm film or something, idk its just blurry but in a retro way, i like it though

As another GB Studio hobbyist, I love that you made a game!
Thanks for the great video! Yes, the thermal paper for Game Boy Printer was expensive, and proprietary, but it also had an adhesive backing. It printed stickers! So it had that going for it. 😌 Much love and nostalgia for my Game Boy Camera.
Oh man, the interests you listed are spot on for me too, this video is fantastic!!
I guess I'll just have to make it all!
This is a fascinating video, I hope you make more stuff like this!
Thats actually really cool theres a game about the gameboy camera that you can play on your gameboy
Great video! I've always wanted to learn more about the GB camera since it was a little before my time (same with Mario Paint). Would love to see a Mario Paint video too!
Flipnote studio on DSi would be great to have a look at too!

ah yes KidPix, my first intro into digital art at school, thought it was the best thing back then lol
Yaas to Mario Paint and KidPix! So many memories. Back in the day I used to record my Mario Paint animations on VHS
I forgot about Kid Pix! And you're so easy to listen to. I love the way you talk and describe things.
Kid Pix rules. Also thank you :)
This was a great video! I learned a lot! Thank you.
this was a super cool video glad you are getting into game development let me know if you ever need an assistant or anything when youre making anything really cool

I havent looked too much into the GB sewing machine because I have heard how ridiculously expensive they are now. They are so cool, though!

You can use an n64 transfer pack and the homebrew gb64 to rip saves/roms from GB/GBC games as well. Thats what I use for ripping GBC pics.
Wait.. what? I´ve been playing your game for a while and didn´t know you have an YT channel. =D
I had no idea Mario Paint was even a thing.
Very cool video!
Mario paint was the oddest ‘game’ to use at the time. Saving music took a very, very long time.
I love my gb camera :D
omg KidPix... I haven't heard that name in years
+1 for the Mario Paint/Mario Artist video, please and thank you!
Imagine someone making a modern/new version of the gbcamera for the GBA.
(Using limited, outdated hardware from ten years before 2000-2006)
wow! Very interesting!
marry me. this video made my life
Too cool
fascinating video !!!!!!
you should try building a raspberry pi camera
is it?
the actual normal footage looks more low fi than the game boy camera one, just look at it, looks like a 8 mm film or something, idk its just blurry but in a retro way, i like it though
That is because I use a diffusion filter on my lens (cinebloom by moment), which gives it that soft "film" look! I'm glad you like it :)
I would be willing to buy a digital image from you.
Pls make a video about kid pix pls !!!!
Drink the game dev potion!!
Is it a potion...or poison??
this is the kind of nerd shit that i reall go for.
