Yes I know what you mean, I have had a cold start to summer here and my local lake has just warmed up to 59 degrees. But this week we should maybe see a day or two where it hits the low 90's F outside.
My first 650sx had the rear exhaust. My current 650sx is a little older and does not. Sure do miss it. This upgrade is very tempting. Thanks for explaining it so well! Cheers!
Beauty! Iv been here since... I think I subscribed back when you had 150 subs. Crazy how fast you've taken off! Great content and your such a humble a cool dude, Jim. Keep up the fantastic work!
Great video! That's gotta be so amazing to have those great companies in your back yard! Really great content, love the format, and just a good all around job! Would love to see an old 440, or 550 conversion. I wasn't going to bother with this mod on mine, until you mentioned the carbon monoxide, and then started to think about just how much exhaust I inhale on mine, vs my SXR. Totally going to attempt this one. Again, great job, and thanks for sharing all this info on these older machines!
Hi Jim, Enjoy the videos!! Keep up the entertaining content. Curious about the circle chart above your bench. Is that an o-ring comparator or some sort of template? Giant o-rings if that is what it is.
Another great video. This seems like a great conversion. I bet it does help with noise quite a bit, the 650sx and x2 I have noticed are always on the louder side... that or the 650 just has a very distinct sound :D
Hey jim you said 26" inch aluminum tube when you measured it but mentioned 25" during your parts list review? Was it really 26" or did you mistakingly say 25" piece for inside section of tube. Very informative stuff keep it up
I just started getting my two 650sx's rebuilt for this summer and SO glad this popped up in my feed. I cant STAND that 2-stroke in my face haha! Thank you!
@@quentinkeller5174 extensions make your ski longer. Not wider. They “extend” the hull. ProWatercraft sells them. Or you can 3D print some. Just do a quick google on jetski hull extension. Cheers.
we will do hull extensions once we get this ski past the 50 mph mark. Once there it will be easier to demonstrate what they do (it is more obvious for filming). :-)
Getting colder.. shorts and a jacket! 👍😎✊

Hi Jim! Merlin brought me here. I'm not a jet ski guy, but I'm fascinated by what you do.
That is so cool! Welcome to the channel! :-)
Hitting the hole from the outside with the 3/8 rod was awesome. I am sure you have mad skills sir. Enjoyed it!
🎉 like it 😊
new bullet ski looks rad... put a wetsuit on and test it out for us...
Always great work! Interesting video to watch always entertaining
Awesome video
your ski sure take a beating!!!

Thank you for the kind words, and thank you for watching. :-)
The Marine Tex reminded me of fixing hydro hoist boat lifts at the marina I worked at as a teenager. Good stuff! Good video!

Cool! How do we do this with a 550sx to have a straight pipe with no horseshoe bend? Cut tray?
no, I usually move it to the other side and foam the stock one up, but if you want to preserve it then yeah, cut the tray.
What type of tubing , what size and where did you get the pipe . Thank you .
extremely informative! I thought desert rats were tough, but I guess it only takes a little cold water to show your soft side!
🤣🤣🤣
Awesome and very informative!
Would you know a place to figure out the right jets to run for my 650SX I am building?
Just bought a 650SX and I've been using your guides to build one of my own, your videos are great for finding parts and working on these old machines!

Oh, good catch, the gap was 26", the tube was 25", I left the one inch out for 1/2 inch each side for clearance. It must have been edited out. :-)

Thats awesome. Congrats!
love your work
That dead blow made me as nervous as a doctor putting on a glow>
🤣🤣🤣
Jimmy what are you doing with it? With that old Ford up on the lift
filming. That will be an upcoming video. 12 valve cummins swap. :-)
@@jetskijim007 I can’t wait
What type of tubing did you use , what size and where did you get the tubing ? Thank you .
what else can I use besides marine tex?
West systems epoxy. :-)
Im in need of a 650 sx handle pole would you have an extra laying around by chance
No, i sure dont. Sorry.
More thrust!😂
Same concept for a js550? I would imagine its the same process right?
correct, except on the 440/550's we run it down the other side (starboard)....
Awesome, Thank you for the response!
So.......what's the mph after the speed run?
Winter? You call that winter?? 🤣🤣🤣❄☃❄
🤣🤣🤣
🌴🌴🌡☀ this is the best winter... 🌴🌴🌡☀
Why are you doing a hull expansion .
Extensions.. They add length to your boat. Helps keep the nose planted and cornering!
@@StefanMailey thanks. So that means he has to cut it in half and add or does he have to have a new one made.

hi jet ski jim, are you on Facebook? thanks Simon
You could put AN ELEPHANT on that spazcraft! Guess you are sorta😀.
WAIT…that was just the thumbnail 🙄.
Bait ‘n switch☹️
I feel cheated, I wanted to see it run!
Why don't you have a minny jet boit 😮
I like your channel but there was a 3 minute ad I couldn't click out of or stop... can you make it go away?
Thats not him doing that. That is youtube promoting the ads that how they get payed. You will have to pay to premium prescription to get rid of ads .
Somebody has to pay the bills so you can watch for free. If you want no adds pay for RUclips Premium.
