Veng Sam actually as a gay guy I think we just kind of find it funny when we meet each other in everyday life. Like I go to college and occasionally you’ll be talking in class or whatever and the guy you’re talking to will maybe be flamboyant or will say something that gives away the fact he’s gay, and if you do the same then you just kind of smile at each other like that, not because you’re necessarily interested in each other or anything, but it’s a bit like this: Imagine if you were in another country (this situation had actually happened to me) and you’re speaking in a foreign language and you speak to someone in this language and you hear they have an accent. And then you ask “I hear you have an accent where are you from?” And you find out that they’re from the same country as you. You would probably react the same - you’d just kind of smile at each other and maybe warm up to each other a bit, not for any romantic reasons but just because you have that in common. It’s a bit like that.
This is really helpful! I like that the conversations feel organic and not scripted! I’m trying to get better and listening and responding (because I can read and write pretty well) since my boyfriend is Mexican and his parents don’t speak much English! Muchas gracias!
this channel is so helpful. i recently started school in spain and i dont know a single word of spanish BUT THIS IS REALLY HELPING ME TO LEARN THANK YOU GUYS!
If anyone is struggling with how quickly they are speaking, I highly encourage you to go to settings (upper right corner ⚙️ symbol), and you go to the bottom and select “play back speed.” There you can choose to slow the video down to .75, .5, or super slow .25. I suggest the .75 because it still sounds natural but slows it down enough you can more easily process the words and meaning as they are spoken. I hope you find this helpful.
I just saw this video and liked the idea very much! did not understand everything, especially ladies spoke so quickly, but from science I know even listening to what you don’t understand helps you learn. Muchisimas gracias por hoy! I’m subscribing to hear more :)
Though im hardly to catch on the pace of the dialogues, i still think this language is one of the most beautiful ones in the world, thus will keep trying and hopefully to master it
Nice work, Juan, as always! The most complicated sentence in this episode: "Espero que les haya gustado..." A little bit of present subjunctive and backwards verb usage :)

A mi me gustan tus vídeos. Me gusta tu método. Es decir, charlas de una manera normal con la gente. No hablas demasiado lento. Tal vez puedes hablar sobre el argot Mexicano un día.
Almost all of the first 3 or 4 persons interviewed used the verb "venir + a" to describe what they were doing in town. "Solo vine aquí a sentarme." "Vinimos aquí a tomarnos unas fotas." "Vinimos aquí a platicar un rato." "Vine a comprar ropa." "Vinimos por un buñuelo"

From dolores (“sorrows”), shortened from María (de los) Dolores, a Roman Catholic epithet of the Virgin Mary as "Our Lady of Sorrows".
