There's a theory going around that Lili was the previous user of Kuma's Paw-Paw fruit and I think it makes a lot of sense with how she was able to scatter the poneglyphs around the world.
Well it is most probably true that lily had access to the powers of paw paw fruit, it being her own devilfruit power or one of her loyal people. But Is definite that paw paw fruit was used to scatter the poneglyphs all around the world.
I think the D. is 100% a found family thing. The D. clearly meant something in the Ancient Kingdom and while they didn't have a blood connection, they were connected in their ideals and dreams and chose to put that symbol in their names. That's why you have people of different races with the D. Back when Imu was trying to take over the world a group of people with commons goals allied together and put the symbol into their names. Ace offering Sabo a D. is just like that of Ancient times. I imagine Joyboy offering Lili the D. when her goals aligned with theirs. That's why it's such a big deal that the Neferati Family has it. Because Lili didn't initially have it but took it or was given it by Joyboy as a sign that she was rebelling against Imu.
I mean... how were all names created? One day people must have just decided to start calling each other stuff. Just because the D is passed down by blood doesn't mean it wasn't originally just kinda, slotted in there.
My theory is that basically the "D" is like the X that Vivi and the Strawhats (and Carue 😆) wrote on their arms during Alabasta, and they've survived all this time by "sharing" it with family and everyone else they found worthy.
Definitely an option! I like it. I also like the Idea that the D looks like a smile, or like a Sake cup, or something like this. Are a lot of options out there
I really like this theory and it ties to how he D. initial history is lost but as long as it exists they'll always be reunited similar to vivi being a SH. It a representation of their time spent together.
It was obvious given he is a Revo who doenst have daddy issues. If he was a pirate I would get the complaint, but sabo's role in the story is to intentionally oppose the WG, ace wouldn't have filled this role at all
@@ahmadazem4167 Sure but before the current arc, Sabo didn't do anything that distinguished himself from Ace. Even his personality kind of overlapped when he first appeared. There was no clear direction with his character in the beginning and the way he entered the story felt like he was there to steal Ace's thunder. "What if Ace was alive and was a Rev instead?" This is why many people have issues with Sabo. Sabo wasn't even brought up as one of the brothers until Ace died. He wasn't really necessary to the plot especially when Dragon has been set up to oppose WG. It felt like Sabo exists for the sake of it. Now he serves a pivotal role as a Rev member.
All support to Oda for getting dat Eye. After he took a month break last year, the man didn’t miss once. Every chapter has been crazy good and the story pace has never been better.
I love the hypocrisy of Garling's statement. Saying that those who protect scum are lower than scum is true, he's just unaware that he is the one protecting scum in the celestial dragons. And reinforcing the status quo of the heinous enslavers that are the celestial dragons does indeed make Garling worse than scum.
I really like how Shanks is the anthesis to what a Celestial Dragon is despite by all means being a “god”. He’s willing to get humiliated and laughed at (i.e. Higuma spills booze on him) whereas the Celestial Dragons are all about pride, looking down on others, and projecting an image of being “gods”. He also uses his overwhelming strength to protect those that cannot defend themselves (i.e. his fleet) instead of sitting at the top of the world and watching others suffer. He also views himself as equal to most people and would happily sit in a tiny bar in the East Blue and drink cheap booze with his mates and a village boy rather than living in luxury atop the Red Line. He is one of the most human characters despite being a “god” by virtue of his birth, which means that he becomes living evidence that Celestial Dragons are as human as the rest of us. It really shows what impact Roger had on him and how nurture trumps nature, and he’s an example of how the Celestial Dragons could choose to be good people if given the right upbringing. I really hope that he doesn’t turn out to be evil since that would undo all of his and circle back to the whole thing of “blood is everything” where if you are born to be evil, you’ll always remain that way, no matter who you’re raised by and what values you are taught. Thankfully most evidence seems to contradict this since he protected Luffy after Wano rather than killing him (like the Gorosei would have wanted), and because of the fact that he gave a member of the enemy of the Celestial Dragons (the D family) the key to defeating them (the Gomu Gomu No Mi).
you guys know that he was raised by pirates since he was an infant, right? he didn't just leave his family and join Roger's crew as a man, he was literally founded by roger on god valley after the fight with the rocks pirate. this is why it was so confusing when all of you said he is the holy knight. it's almost as if you guys just skimp through the pages, looking for fights and hype.
@@Dave_of_Mordor Reread my comment. I literally said that Shanks is a good man and that him being raised by Roger is the reason for that. I never said anything about him being a holy knight. Check your own brain and the impossibly big stick up your backside before you start attacking others and accusing them of being there for fights and hype.
What I love about everything since Wano ended is that you really get the sense of how the world has descended into chaos with everything that’s going on. Usually Oda zooms into the island the straw hats are on and only zooms out at the end of the arc to show how the rest of the world has progressed. But now Oda is continually switching between characters and places, panning from one event to another (e.g. Fullalead, Kamabakka Queendom, Shanks and Kidd, Blackbeard and Law, etc.). It really creates a sense that the race for the One Piece is on now and the Straw Hats (while obviously still being the main characters) are only one of many crews/organizations that are making big moves. It’s like Oda is finally making full use of the world he’s taken decades to build. Rather than zoom into the straw hats, he’s kept the camera zoomed out on the entire world. It’s great because you can tell we’re in the endgame now
Also we don't exactly know where Vivi and Morgans are presently. Even the first cutaway scene we get of them has Vivi say she learned of her father's death only the day before. That could've been happening while the Strawhats just arrived at Wano. Vivi might show up at Egghead too for all we know.
I think in the page in which the picture of sabo standing next to cobra was taken, the silhouettes are in their own panel. Basically the silhouettes are not behind him, i think it is sabo actually looking at them. Overlapping panels is something oda does a lot when showing the full body of a character.
And even if the picture included their transformations, the gorosei would obviously edit it out before publishing it and frame Sabo. I doubt it was morgans that edit it since uncovering imu is a much more juicy story than blaming sabo, and he loves to publish the most interesting story possible. Now with Wapol there they may uncover imu and the gorosei, depends if wapol has the balls to do it, but with how scared he is it may remain a secret for a while, maybe the revolutionaries reveal it first who knows
Yeah I just interpreted it as either them being out of frame like you explained or them just being the owners of the den-den mushi and cropping the picture before sending it to Morgans. But it would be cool if what Merphy explained happens either way (either with him actually having a picture with them on the frame or him getthing his hands on any other proof), someone like Morgans having the power to blackmail the government would create all kinds of -entertainment- chaos.
I think it was very smart of Oda to kill off Mjosgard. It shows that, while it is possible for the Celestial Dragons to change and become better people, the corruption of the current hegemony is so systemic that any aberration is quickly stamped out. There is a possibility for lasting change, but only if what's currently there is completely toppled.
Hi Merphy, i think what Imu said about the weapon being created by vegapunk, was more about the power/energy source of the weapon, and not the weapon itself, as Imu said something about the "mother flame", and we know Vegapunk's ultimate goal is creating the perfect energy source to solve this issue for the world, and lilith said the current egghead island is running on "fire" as it's power source.
Personally I agree with Dragon. I don’t think Vega Punk would purposely creat a weapon like that for the government especially after knowing what happened to Ohara. I think it’s more likely that he invented the fuel source for whatever that weapon is.
As someone who loves to do literary analysis I thought you’d love this: Look at the parallels Oda executes in these past few chapters. It’s the kind of writing we all aspire to and stand in awe of, even if we don’t recognize it when we first read it In 1085, Sabo vs. Imu and the Gorosei parallels Ace vs Blackbeard and co on Banaro island. A mera mera no mi user reps the light to fight an ultimate darkness in an incident that will spark global conflict and change (look back at 440-1 and the language. Ace even used an attack called flame emperor and Blackbeard says some very pointed light vs darkness stuff) Also in these chapters, a sick and dying man enters a dead end situation to confront a ruling body. He speaks of inherited will and other taboos, receives a mortal blow from the powers of darkness, and dies standing on his feet. Sound familiar? Cobra parallels Whitebeard in his final moments. Cobra speaks of the will of D, void century, etc. and is killed by Imu, while WB speaks of those who inherit roger and ace’s will before yelling his famous line about the one piece and being taken out by Blackbeard Even 1085’s chapter title the death of nefeltari cobra looks like a callback to the death of Portgas d ace (perhaps clueing us in to the nefeltari D reveal) Wapol is even a buggy parallel for Marineford. A former villain is responsible for leaking crucial events to the public and even unwittingly helps a D clan member escape mortal danger (in this case Vivi instead of Luffy). Also I wonder about the 20 doctors and the 20 kings, and the first mention of Blackbeard on Drum island… that arcs significance has yet to fully pay off… Also there’s a lot of betrayals running parallels and foils with Lily. Lily and her “mistake” betrayed Imu and the nascent world gov. It’s not unlike how Vivi as an agent inside Baroque works, viola inside the DQ fam, or Hiyori inside Orochi’s inner circle are all examples of double agents inside corrupt ruling bodies. (Not to mention, those corrupt rulers make the rightful leaders look like the betrayers - cobra and the rain, king riku and the massacre in Dressrosa, the fall of the kozukis and oden’s humiliation) From those examples and arcs, there are several potential foils for Imu (obviously Blackbeard, but also doffy and even sugar - especially with how childish Imu is portrayed via their language and even size, not to mention potential eternal youth. I have a theory that the D clan are only “husks who don’t know their true power” or whatever Imu said bc like the toys of Dressrosa, they were made to forget/be forgotten and that’s tied into the destruction of the ancient kingdom bc like Hiriluk said, a man dies when he is forgotten. Also Imu could be undone by G5 toon powers like how Usopp ridiculous’ed sugar out of commission but that’s just a head canon I’m enjoying) This is way too long so no one will read it but I’m so in awe of Oda and can’t stop talking about his true excellence and craft Also: I like the idea that the D is something D clan members can grant to others rather than a strict bloodline element. It would fit with the theme of found family, as seen with Luffy ace and Sabo. Just saying. Great video!
Wow, I never actually got that Ace and WB:Sabo and Cobra parallel, that was a really, really nice catch. Also I knew I wasn't the only one who thought of Sugar the moment Im/Imu started referring to themself in 3rd person. It's going to be interesting to see how their fruit differs from the hobby-hobby no mi, or maybe they actually are a hobby-hobby no mi user? We know Vegapunk can clone fruits so it's not too out there that maybe Sugar ate a clone fruit (although I'd personally want Imu to have their own fruit honestly, or maybe their own power outside of Devil fruits even, kinda like rokushiki but for monarchs 800 years ago)
@@NotSomeJustinWithoutAMoustache thanks! Shocked anyone read all this bc my comment was massive haha. And I’m with you, I think Imu should have their own power devil fruit or otherwise but Sugar’s fruit could be a potential clue to what that power is or how it works. Oda likes to play with parallels and foils intermixed, showing us some things as the same while altering details to make them also the opposite xD
@@HanaNoMaudeSo, some additional interesting things regarding Imu and Blackbeard: Imu is theorized to have the perpetual youth surgery while Blackbeard asked law to perform it on him, Imu was a king would convinced (or tricked) the previous Celestial Dragons to support their bid for greater power and solidified rulership while Blackbeard is an emperor trying to convince the current Celestial Dragon to support his blood for more power by declaring him a king, Imu was betrayed by one of the top officials of their organization after seizing power while Blackbeard seized power after betraying one of the top officials of his previous organization. I wonder, while the readers don’t know how Blackbeard was able to have two fruits at once, Whitebeards crew seemed to already know Blackbeard could, which suggests that someone else has had more than one fruit before…
Love the parallels. Theres def some nice wills getting inherited. We've also got that kind celestial dragon sacrificing himself to protect shirahoshi. There's always a death at a time like this.
Never ever would Morgans have direct observation over the den den mushi in the throne room. If he'd have he already would be an insider by the time that happened. They definitely just send him an edited version or a photo from an angle that doesn't reveal them
9:26 Hey Merphy hate to disagree with your theory cause I Love BIG NEWS MORGANS! I would think that Imu/ Five Elders would have edited/cropped out the photo before giving it to Morgan’s. I don’t think Morgan’s had direct access to the Den Den Mushi. But still 100% agree that Morgan’s is extremely powerful and has so much more information about the world.
Oda is in his BAG. He's certainly having a lot of fun playing with all the chess pieces he's painstakingly set the board with over the last 20 years!! I honestly can only predict general "directions" for the story rn, the "micro", the details of how things will transpire are genuinely nearly unpredictable 😳 😮 and its ABSOLUTELY addicting to me HAHA Been watching every single discussion and review, theory on youtube to see what other people are thinking, But WOW. I find myself daydreaming about the story now more than almost EVER before, and that's coming from a reader of 12 years or so, who's been watching youtube content religiously since like 2016 If oda continues at the pace he's set, this final saga will probably be breathtaking the whole way through 😅 SO EXCITEDDDD (But also SCARED BECAUSE I CANT IMAGINE THIS SERIES ENDING) 😢😢
Ay kindred spirit. I've been both reading and watching content for about the same amount of time, and yeah this has been my favorite arc to be current on. Its honestly not even close.
Yeah, I’m actually grateful for the break, because the idea of One Piece ending is upsetting to me. Especially since it still hasn’t got the appreciation it deserves. In all honesty, I’m an optimist at heart, so I’m just angry that everyone who eventually realises how good the story is will get the entire package.
One parallel to history that I LOVE is the comparison of the earth being the center of the universe versus the sun. Imu represents the earth, Luffy represents the sun and the Five Elders represent the original five planets. AND as a cherry on top, the three Ancient Weapons represent the three planets yet to be discovered. I cannot wait to see if Oda builds this up. It is so fascinating. And on a completely different note, Seraphim Croc looks pretty feminine if you ask me… 👀
Just to add to this. Modern idea = Universe around the Sun ( Luffy or Complete Freedom ) Old idea = Universe around the Earth ( Imu or Complete Control )
Imu said it was because of Lily's "Mistake" that the ponygliphs were spread across the world but he also mention the possibility that it wasn't a mistake but on purpose and it was confirmed to him by Cobra when he said Lily D. Nefertari, that made Imu angry because it confirmed Lily betrayed him, the flashback with little Ace and Sabo wasn't a coincidence or a gag, just like Ace offered Sabo the D moniker, Joyboy or some other ancient D offered Lily the D, she wasn't always a D she took that name a symbol of defiance to Imu, that's how he knew now that she betrayed him. D is a clan isn't bound by blood but by an ideal, they raise the banner of Dawn against Imu. so in the future there may be some character that will add a D to their name Basically what I'm saying is Buggy D. clown will become a reality
Omg you mentioned the part where Vivi worried more about Shirahoshi then herself. It was the one thing that burned into my memory from that chapter. I also love Vivi. May she team up with the crew for a last bang. The sea calls for her she just needs to answear.
Your theory on Morgans knowing about Imu, the elders, etc. is dependent on the idea that Morgans or someone in his direct employ was the one who had initial access to the den den mushi. Which I find to be unlikely, as I don't think he and his people are capable enough to sneak a den den mushi into that throne room and have it go completely undetected. I think it is much more likely that the 5 elders or those who work directly for them were responsible for the den den mushi, cropped the photo themselves, and then supplied it to Morgans along with the story that Sabo killed Cobra. We know that the world government is very much an old hat at feeding the media, including Morgans, a falsified or heavily edited / spun story in order to further their propaganda and narrative. And we also know that Morgans is willing (though perhaps not entirely enthusiastic) to play along with said propaganda so long as the story drives readership and is "BIG NEWS!". It is entirely possible that the government fed the story of Cobra's murder at the hands of Sabo to Morgans before Wapol and Vivi got to him, or at least before Wapol divulged his eye-witness account of what happened (of course, whether Wapol tells the unmitigated truth or creatively edits his account is unknown, though I'm inclined to lean towards him doing the later). When we know that Morgans is willing to defy the government in order to run a story against their interests -- all for the sake of "journalistic integrity" -- I see no reason why Morgans would willfully and independently doctor the photo and run with a story he knows would be false. I mean, come on, what is more likely to be BIG NEWS!: a member of the Revolutionary Army assassinating a beloved and, by most accounts, benevolent king, or said revolutionary officer striving in vain to save said king who was brutally murdered by the top elders of the government after he uncovered this SHOCKING conspiracy that we're about to reveal RIGHT NOW!?
i think the will of d is something that is not a bloodline thing, but more like will of a cerrtain group of people passed down. Like for example, in the short back story we see ace saying that sabo can also have the d, here oda is point to the fact that d is something which is can be passed from one person to another, like a will or an ideology or something else which can be passed from person to person. I also think lily having the d means that she has sworn legeance with the people who have the d and so she got the d.
Gorousei means "The Five Elders Stars" but It also means "The Five Elders Planets". And, as we can se, their names are based of 5 planets, Ju Peter -> Júpiter; V. Nusjuro -> Vênus; Valcurie -> Mercury; and Mars and Saturn are Mars and Saturn. When humanity thought that the Earth was the center of everything (Geocentrism) those 5 planets were the only ones that we known of. Just after we changed to Heliocentrism that we discovered Plutan, Uranus and Neptune, planets that curiosly mach with the 3 anciant weapons (Just change Neptune with his greak name, Posaidon). One Piece is a story about many thing, but it also can be a story of how humanity changed their beliefs from an anciant way of thinking to a new one. A belief that circles around the Sun, around Nika Nika no Luffy
To add additional context to this, at the library of Ohara they had a geocentric model. This led to a lot of speculation that there are multiple moons in One Piece... but we only ever see the one. So it's quite likely that one of the pieces of knowledge lost during the void century was heliocentrism.
i kind of view shanks as the whole nature vs nurture debate. since he was taken in by roger as a baby, he never grew up with the other celestial dragons and therefore inherited the ideals of the people who raised him, roger, rayleigh etc. i think oda might be using shanks as proof that no one is inherently evil, and the impact of socialisation and the way you are raised on the way you turn out. this would, in my opinion, be so cool since it's basically a real life example of the "power corrupts" theme that's been in one piece since the very start. the celestial dragons weren't born evil but that's the place that they occupy in society because they've always been told that. the fact that shanks is so opposite to all their ideals (like having the weakest fleet because he takes in people to protect them etc) just proves that reform and revolution IS possible.
I like the theory that Nefertari D. Lili was the original user of Kuma's Paw-Paw fruit, that's how she was able to scatter the Poneglyphs around the world
i like the idea of Imu beeing an Ink Human with the Ink Fruit. Inks real world applications are for example used to write history (forming World Gov), rewrite history or even void history (Void Century). And Ink can be removed with rubber (Luffy) and also may explain why the poneglyphs are carved instead of written down notes since they are not influenced by Ink . On top of that, Ink also is a real world application/extension of ones own imagination (manga for example). So its in a sense the dark version fo the Nika Ability. So in a sense, the "creator" is the mangaka of this world which technically is true, since the whole world is drawn by odas pen.
I never thought of how cool the Donquixote keep changing from the Celestial Dragon way. Something about Oda going out of his way to emphasize them is just nice. (This was inspired by your comments about Shanks).
Yeah it’s also extra funny/cool when you consider that the original Donquixote was the first example we see that shows the original 20 kings weren’t as innocent/pure as the world lets on and yet his descendants are the major examples of celestial dragons choosing to be human
Sun: Luffy Moon: Figarland Mercury/Venus/Mars/Jupiter/Saturn: Five Elders Neptune/Uranus/Pluto: Ancient Weapons (Who I believe to be represented by the Neptune, Nefertari, and Kozuki family) SPACE/VOID: IMU All of these figures (and their families) tie back directly to the Void Century.
The picture wasn't cropped by Morgans. It was cropped by the WG to frame Sabo and then was sent to Morgans. Morgans then released it anyway even though he knew the truth because he doesn't wanna get hunted yet. I think he is trying to find either a safe haven or the Revolutionary Army. But hopefully Vivi asked him to find the Straw Hats so she could join them.
I don't think the Den Den Mushi that took the picture of Sabo was Morgans's. I think it was a random one from the world government and it was them that reframed the picture to hide the silhouettes and frame Sabo as Cobra's murderer. I also believe that because if Morgans had all these infos about Imu and the Gorosei then Wapol doesn't bring him any news and he loses the bit of importance that he holds.
In chapter 1062 Oda draws non-descriptive silhouettes for the sea beast weapons similar to the five elders then reveals the same sea beasts on the next page, they are a lot more detailed than the silhouettes would lead you to believe.
Few observations: - The queens in One Piece have been absolute badasses so far (bear the flag of liberation? so badass) - In chapter 1060, I found it strange when one of the Gorosei members mentions that it was fate Imu picked Lulusia to destroy since Sabo was there and I thought Imu picked Lulusia BECAUSE Sabo was there. Turns out, Imu only picked Lulusia out of convenience and Sabo escaping was of no consequence to them. - Imu says the recent members of the D clan are empty husks but the Goroseis have been frantically trying to get rid of anyone with the D initial. - When Imu tells for Lulusia to be destroyed, the members of the Gorosei don't accept immediately and one of them even advises caution (large population) which implies that Imu isn't any sort of God but a person (who receives advice). - Imu wanting to use the weapon immediately and destroying a target out of convenience instead of being concerned with Sabo seems quite childish (when you consider how lax Imu has been so far) and the Gorosei seem to give into Imu's whims, sort of like how the Donquixote family members gave into a young Doffy's whims (think back to those images of Imu and young Doffy having people bow down to them).
I think the reason Imu picked Lulusia was because it was close, AND it's likely Sabo would go to a close kingdom then get a ship there to go back to the revolutionaries
The gorosei definitely cropped that photo within the domains of the castle, but Morgans probably does know now because of Wappol's leak. The shadow on top isn't flying, It appears to be Imu descending down from the throne using their hands. It is funny that Imu or mu means void, like the void of space.
I actually think the elders do care. All the way back in ohara when they order the buster call you can see him holding his head as if it pains him. And in this chapter they have the anime lines over the eyes that usually portray dread. And it's like they're trying to justify it to themselves in different ways
I’ve been following your journey through ONE PIECE since you got started and I gotta say, your chapter reviews are the best out there. It’s still full of that childlike excitement. You don’t feel like your taking yourself too seriously as a lot of these ONE PIECE content creators are doing! Whenever your chapter reviews pop up, I will drop everything to watch them!❤❤❤
I'm just so incredibly happy that Vivi's importance skyrocketed and that she is now a major player again. May I even dream and she will rejoin with the Strawhats for one last trip? Vivi certainly never stopped being in my top 5 favorite characters.
I think mother flame is the source of infinite energy that vagapunk talked about at the beginning of the egg head arc. The weapon used to destroy Lulusia probably needs an absurd amount of energy, that would explain why it wasn't used before. Im-sama must be wanting the energy source to use this weapon continuously against those who rebel against the world government. Probably the reason Jaygarcia Saturn is going to egg head is precisely to ensure that mother flame is safely recovered (the government has already failed with gomu gomu no mi and open open no mi, so they want to guarantee it).
Luffy and Vivi have few things in common 1) They complete honest leader 2) They Completely fearless leader 3) they loyal to they friend and family 4) they love adventure 5) they both have Will D in their middle in name 6) They despise celestial dragon For try to attempt to enslave their friend 7)They both lost their family members (Ace and Cobra) to world government 8) they have both have frenmise (Luffy and buggy) (Vivi and Wapol) 9) They both Target by Imu for some reason Imu want to capture Vivi alive 10) Luffy and Vivi have huge role in world Luffy is the new Joyboy Vivi is Descend of Nefertari D Lily 11) they listen to each other, like when Vivi got gunshot. Luffy got angry, and Vivi stopped and him, reminding him of his responsibility as leader Luffy understood what Vivi said and Luffy point out that Vivi need stop take All responsibility by herself alone and let her friends help Share the responsibility with her friends that created Strong deep bond between Luffy and Vivi 12) They care about each other so much when Vivi gone missing Luffy about to go back Alabasta Despite very close to reach his dream also when Vivi Chose the stay behind she was crying and Hope that one they will meet again
Just a little general info, a clan in japan doesn't have to be a singular family that's raleted. Which I guess is the reason why people get confused. Clans could be small families or giant groups of people coming together or something in between. So d. clan doesn't mean they're raleted by blood
She's my fave RUclips One Piece reviewer after Uzumaki Khan. Both of them are so organic and the happiness of reading One Piece clearly shows on their faces ❤
So many things have happened in the recent chapters. It's just info after info after info. We get more answers, but even more questions. It still hasn't hit me fully that this is the final saga, but all these revelations are starting to make it real for me. What a journey it has been these past 2 decades. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
So Shanks is an Emperor of the Sea, actually royalty, while being a part of the family that passes judgement over the Celestial Dragons, while being one of the best men in the series, only fighting when he's really left with no other way to resolve a conflict. Such a humble god.
Wapol smacked Vivi around during the last gathering of the world government royals when she was a child, and she kept a straight face to keep the peace. An afterthought in Wapol’s villain story, but essential for Vivi’s character development. The fact that Wapol is now the person she escaped the revelrie with following the murder of her father by Imu and the Gorosei (which he witnessed!) is an incredible twist of their fates.
I think about Vegapunks creations in the same way Tom told Franky to think about his ships. You created something not inherently good or evil, it's how it's used, that will change others depictions of it.
I think the Elder's name indicates their fruits. Luffy is the Sun God, but we know planets are the Roman Gods so maybe Oda took inspiration from that for God level mythical Zoans
Oda has said before that he just enjoys drawing characters with cool or strange silhouettes, so he probably knows exactly what the 5 elders forms look like and was just teasing us with their shadows before we get them slowly revealed to us throughout the end of the story. One of them is heading to egghead island right now so we'll probably see his shortly
I like the idea that Imu's weapon is an ancient weapon (Uranus, probably) and Vegapunk actually created the energy source for that weapon. It would explain why Imu couldn't use it before and would tie in with Vegapunk's dream of an ilimited source of energy.
Cobra 100% knew he was gonna die beforehand. The dude is even coughing on every page and he just says that he can’t escape out loud to confirm things not be ause he actually realizes he iss going to be killed. When you ask these questions, you know what the WG will do.
I said it once and I'll say it twice, I like the theory that Zunesha could be Lili. Lili had to travel a lot because of the Poneglyphs, so it wouldn't be weird if Joy Boy was her traveling companion. So it could be that Zunesha is stuck in an awakened Zoan form (like Impel Down) as a punishment by Imu for her mistake, I doubt they would kill Lili if they truly were obsessed with her.
What fruit is "giant elephant with possible salvador dali multi-jointed super long legs" though? Cause the capital E Elephant Fruit is taken by Funkfried, Spandam's sword.
Actually indeed, Zunesha has been walking for 1000+ years and the formation of the world government (and end of the void century) was 800 years ago EDIT: nevermind, Zunesha has _lived_ for 1000+ years, and has been walking since around the void century
@@metallsnubben There is literally a race which supposedly Zunesha relates to, and they have a name "Naitamie-Norida Elephant", nowhere does it say there can't exist multiple elephant fruits depending on the race. Zunesha hasn't been "walking" for 1000+ years, it's punishment was only decided 800 years ago. Now, I would like to know where it's confirmed that Zunesha actually has 1000 years, since the only information I can obtain is that the race is known for living more than 1000 years, I don't remember them mentioning Zunesha's age in the manga
@@LshowKnows ...I went to check, not intending to dig through EVERYTHING, but chapter 802 where Zunesha first appears has Law say that "the minks have been keeping humankind away from their home here for nearly a thousand years, I hear. Luffy responds "then that means that elephant's been alive for an entire millenium!" And then skimming there's more lines like "this is so cool, a city on the back of a thousand-year old elephant" etc etc NOW, that's Law as a source and that "nearly" makes it a little vague (though 200 years is a lot to round up), so I kept skimming and FOUND: in chapter 811, when the first straw hats arrive at Zou and Nami gets attacked by Wanda (long haired dog mink), she screams about "how much of our thousand-year history must you destroy before you are satisfied?" (thinking that they are more of Jack's goons)
@@metallsnubben That last bit could be a fair point, I dont like the Law statement because it´s vague like you said but Wanda´s has more weight to it. I went to check if Vivre Cards mentioned anything and they indicate that Zunisha is over 1000 years old. Now, I know Vivre cards aren´t 100% to be trusted because they aren´t really written by Oda but they are still official. If Zunisha isn´t Lili, then I can´t really see what the crime might have been and how it ties into the story. This will be a long ass break
I'm positive on Mother Flame not being a weapon, but a energy source powerful enough to activate Uranus. And that would answer why the Ancient Weapon wasn't used before.
TO BE ABSOLUTELY FAIR: Cobra himself questioned why the World Government would censor history in the Alabasta Arc, showing that he is unaware of most of their more unsavory actions throughout history. So it was clear that despite being wise he was still somewhat naive when it came to the WG. Personally, I feel like he shoulda wisened up after Alabasta + the developments in the world since then but its whatever.
Finally someone who shares my thoughts on Vegapunk. What you said about him wanting to advance science no matter what is what I’ve been thinking for so long.
I personally think that ‘the mother flame’ that Vagapunke made is an experimental power source. He has said he wants to create something like the ancient kingdom had. Also it would make sense that Imu had the last ancient weapon, since we already know where two of them are
I reread Drum Island recently and realized that Wapol is more or less a prototype for a celestial dragon in terms of how he acts/thinks. A beta version of Charlos more or less.
In regards to the Sabo photo, I feel like you’re missing the easier answer which is that the Den Den Mushi is one of the gorosei’s and they fed that image to Morgans
Sabo is standing between Cobra and the Elders, and looking up at the Elders. The photo Transponder Snail is probably set up on the wall next to the staircase facing away from the Empty Throne, between the Elders.
About the photograph.. people keep saying Morgan, but Isn't the simplest and most logical option, for me at least, was that the Gorosei have a tight security on that room, only certain guards allowed to check the Den Den Mushi, obliged to secrecy or they "disappear" if they talk about it. Heck even like when they were wiretapping Sabo call, they were told to shut off the wiretap and forget about it ) The way I see it, in the aftermath of Sabo escaping, the Gorosei got a a picture (cropped it) and send it to Morgan to spread misinformation they had nothing to do with the killing of Cobra and trying to paint Sabo in a Villain/Enemy of the World paint.
I think the D. started with Joyboy's crew and it's been a generational thing and anyone could inherit that will much like Oden did and much like Sabo has
Morgans was waiting to get his scoop from Wapol though. I am pretty sure that image was taken and sent by the World Government, so it only showed what they wanted it to show. Morgans knows there is more to the story, but I don't think that was his transponder snail.
RIP to Mjosgard. People might not remember that he was just as awful as any other Celestial Dragon when he was first introduced but changed dramatically after being saved by Otohime. It will be interesting to see what happens next in Mary Geoise because it looks to me like the execution of Mjosgard took place while Kuma is climbing the Red Line and while the city is starting to feel the effects of hunger for the first time.
I like the idea that the will of D. is a choice instead of a lineage, because that fits the themes of inherited will and found family of One Piece too. I totally agree with your analysis of Vegapunk's personality and goals, he is a very morally gray character to say the least.
Regarding the silhouettes, the big one on top is probably Imu itself. I think that you may have missed the fact that Imu transformed just before being hit by Sabo's attack: first its eyes change then it becomes a huge thing that "chomps" the firey attack. Anyway, great video, as usual!
There was that government agent that came to "negotiate" with Morgans, he may have given Morgans the picture with a story in mind, but Morgans decked him, and ran his own story
The panel where the shadow creatures are there, like you mentioned, this is actually a different panel than the on where Sabo stands over cobra. The Elder Planets could easily be further away from Sabo in the room, and this is a much more simple explanation that just makes sense. I like ur whole Idea tho! Would be a cool explanation, but I think Oda would have just put them on the same panel then, to give us this hint!
I don’t think the D is a bloodline thing AT ALL. I think it’s an inherited will thing like Roger and Luffy. And Lili started it. Lily probably MADE the will of D. By sending out her letters all over the world. And all the recipients of her letters put the D in their names. And people still put the D initial in their kids’ names in hopes that the kids (both adoptive and biological) will continue the good fight. In hopes that they’ll CHOOSE to look into their middle initial.
Yooo I’m excited to finally tune in to your one piece content! I started reading two months ago and have finally caught up. My goodness it’s been incredible
The Translation this time is possibly off. I heared from japanise natives that its not Mothers Frame but Mothers Flame. Also that Imu doesnt say i wanna use vegapunks creation, but that she says there is a rumor that vegapunk made the mother Flame. She guesses instead of knowing. They somehow caught wind of his creation. The Mother Flame is not an Ancient Weapon in my opinion but the Flying Ship that fires laser is. Its Uranus the last weapon and it needs an extremely amount of power, that what vegapunk wanted to create for a long time. So thats the reason they needed vegapunk, to fire up their own ancient weapon. Now that he created the seraphim + mothers flame they can and will try kill him. he is of no use, he is even a big threat to em. That imu chooses the close proximity is imo also an decision because she doesnt want to risk to much. The mothers flame could be a problematic prototype and not be as strong as they ones from the ancient kingdom. Uranus most likely needs alot of Energy because it is probably big, it needs to fly a big distance and it needs energy for the weapon system. If it runs out of energy and drops into the ocean, its over for Imu. Imu needs the anceint weapon uranus to dominate the world. Also Saint Figarland Garling translation is probably off too. The native speaker says that rather being a king the title is "champion". Which would make sense because he probably fighted against Whitebeared, Rocks, Big Mom, Kaido. Also remember when shanks talked to whitebeard about ace? In that conversation whitebeared says that his scar itches when he says shanks face. I think thats not a commnent about roger but about Figarland Garling. If that is true and he gave whitebeared a scar, then he could be on Admiral level or higher. It would also make sense that he says that to shanks because he maybe knows that they are related. Also when roger spoke to shanks and shanks cried, the conversation was maybe about shanks family and roger revealed stuff to shanks about em and him.
25:25 Well, with Shanks that wouldn't have been a problem. Just after the God's Valley incident, 38 years ago, Roger and Rayleigh opened a treasure chest that they hauled before they left. Inside that chest, wearing a onesie with moons and suns, baby Shanks. Shanks is 39 now, so he was 1 year old at that moment. He didn't spend enough time among Celestial Dragons to be indoctrinated
I had a thought several days ago about Imu and their powers. That being that if Imu does have some kind of Devil Fruit, what if, instead of some kind of water based fruit like we've all been speculating. What if it's some kind of devil based fruit? The Devil Devil Fruit. This is one piece here and Oda, so I have no doubt he might twist that to be able to have power over Devil Fruits themselves if such a thing existed. The only thing I have to back this thought is the shadow like images of some devil like tail during Sabo attacking Imu, the reveal of their full name, Saint Nerona Imu. (Nerona --> Nero, written as the Devil himself in Christian faith and books, specifically as 666). And then the loose speculation that gone around for years that Imu has some kind of control or power over Devil Fruit users or something.
On the D. discussion I think that its important to remember what Saul said about it "everyone in my family have it but I dont know what it means". In a similar fashion how Law introduces his D. Water names So I think originally it was inherent will (probably Joyboy), those that knew the meaning and decided to fight for its ideals adopted it (which is probably the case with Lily, initially on the WG side but seeing the mistake adopted the D. at the end) Those that survived passed down it as a family name, and the ideals of those families make it easier for them to bring greatness even if the meaning was lost to time. I believe Cobra and Vivi are more like the original D. They decided to get it from Lily as a position against the WG
So I can't help but get the feeling that the story that Morgans laughed at the idea of censoring was the Gorosei and Imu's true forms. Also, something I find fascinating that I don't see a lot of people mentioning is that Imu actually allows the Gorosei to even do something like ask for a reason for their orders. It seems like Imu holds them in unexpectedly high regard for people that are pretty much slaves to him.
I don't know why, but I am excited to know more about donquixote family from the original 20. I just don't know where to put them morally, thinking about it, Homing doffy's father decided to leave the holy land to live with the common people and then you have mjosgard. The difference between doffy and rosinante, I just think there's something about their bloodline that makes them so different from the rest of the Celestial dragon. I strongly believe that their family will be important when we get the void century story because out of 20 family ODA chose this family give more context.
I think Sabo earned the D. He could use one in his name if he wanted it, and no one in the fandom would have a problem with it. Because clearly it shows an ideology, not a family tree. And Sabo is in line with that ideology and way of living.
I’m so into the theory that it was not Shanks who talked to the five elders now. Because we now know that he might have family inside the holy land. And also the complete emphasis that Oda and the anime took to freaking HIDE HIS SCAR! they deliberately hid it in the manga and the anime.
In my mind, its pretty much guaranteed that Imu and Vivi will meet at some point. On whose terms they meet is a different story. I can see it going both ways. I can see Imu sending out an incredibly strong force to capture Vivi and drag her to them. I can also see Vivi finding the straw hats and them either breaking into Mariejois or maybe even drawing Imu out if they're desperate enough to get Vivi.
I love that One Piece has so many good characters that Oda can go a month without showing Luffy and the story is still at an all time high
There's a theory going around that Lili was the previous user of Kuma's Paw-Paw fruit and I think it makes a lot of sense with how she was able to scatter the poneglyphs around the world.
Oh! That's good! That's really good!
That is a neat theory! I still subscribe to her being Toki, personally, but I can see why people would run with that theory for sure!
"Joyboy offering Lili the D."
I am not mature at all.
You’re saying joyboy gave LiLi the D?
I mean... how were all names created? One day people must have just decided to start calling each other stuff. Just because the D is passed down by blood doesn't mean it wasn't originally just kinda, slotted in there.
The D were the friends we found along the way
"Joyboy offered Lili the D"
WORDING
My theory is that basically the "D" is like the X that Vivi and the Strawhats (and Carue 😆) wrote on their arms during Alabasta, and they've survived all this time by "sharing" it with family and everyone else they found worthy.
Definitely an option! I like it. I also like the Idea that the D looks like a smile, or like a Sake cup, or something like this. Are a lot of options out there
hahaha, we always joked that the One Piece is the friends we made along the way, but it turned out that the D is the friends we made along the way
I really like this theory and it ties to how he D. initial history is lost but as long as it exists they'll always be reunited similar to vivi being a SH. It a representation of their time spent together.
I also love Sabo in this final saga. He finally feels like his own character with his own purpose and not Ace's replacement.
The Flame emperor. i still see him as luffy's big brother, even after G5
I'm glad Oda gets to take a break everything's been amazing so far but I'd rather wait longer for chapters just for his health's sake
I AGREE 👍💪👊
He'll return with the smoothest eyeballs known to man
He did that last year and look what happened
All support to Oda for getting dat Eye. After he took a month break last year, the man didn’t miss once. Every chapter has been crazy good and the story pace has never been better.
100% agree
I love the hypocrisy of Garling's statement. Saying that those who protect scum are lower than scum is true, he's just unaware that he is the one protecting scum in the celestial dragons. And reinforcing the status quo of the heinous enslavers that are the celestial dragons does indeed make Garling worse than scum.
Ahahahha yeaa still da 🐐🐐🐐
Tru
love this comment, couldn't have said it better myself
you guys know that he was raised by pirates since he was an infant, right? he didn't just leave his family and join Roger's crew as a man, he was literally founded by roger on god valley after the fight with the rocks pirate. this is why it was so confusing when all of you said he is the holy knight. it's almost as if you guys just skimp through the pages, looking for fights and hype.
@@Dave_of_Mordor this is so true, OP fans are just so hollow in the head sometimes
@@jackroberts2704wow that’s actually a really good point!
My favourite part is the last time we zoomed out this long (marineford) Luffy was an ant, but now he's taking the role of Whitebeard.
I think in the page in which the picture of sabo standing next to cobra was taken, the silhouettes are in their own panel. Basically the silhouettes are not behind him, i think it is sabo actually looking at them. Overlapping panels is something oda does a lot when showing the full body of a character.
oh
Correct
It would be a cool in-story reason for them not appearing if Imu literally void erased them from the picture though.
Well let’s not forget, there is that vegapunk clone who just betrayed the original/says she’s gonna be a celestial dragon
He was making a laser weapon...for peace!
Or he intended the device for something else and Imu just used it as a weapon.
As someone who loves to do literary analysis I thought you’d love this:
Look at the parallels Oda executes in these past few chapters. It’s the kind of writing we all aspire to and stand in awe of, even if we don’t recognize it when we first read it
In 1085, Sabo vs. Imu and the Gorosei parallels Ace vs Blackbeard and co on Banaro island. A mera mera no mi user reps the light to fight an ultimate darkness in an incident that will spark global conflict and change (look back at 440-1 and the language. Ace even used an attack called flame emperor and Blackbeard says some very pointed light vs darkness stuff)
Also in these chapters, a sick and dying man enters a dead end situation to confront a ruling body. He speaks of inherited will and other taboos, receives a mortal blow from the powers of darkness, and dies standing on his feet. Sound familiar? Cobra parallels Whitebeard in his final moments. Cobra speaks of the will of D, void century, etc. and is killed by Imu, while WB speaks of those who inherit roger and ace’s will before yelling his famous line about the one piece and being taken out by Blackbeard
Even 1085’s chapter title the death of nefeltari cobra looks like a callback to the death of Portgas d ace (perhaps clueing us in to the nefeltari D reveal)
Wapol is even a buggy parallel for Marineford. A former villain is responsible for leaking crucial events to the public and even unwittingly helps a D clan member escape mortal danger (in this case Vivi instead of Luffy). Also I wonder about the 20 doctors and the 20 kings, and the first mention of Blackbeard on Drum island… that arcs significance has yet to fully pay off…
Also there’s a lot of betrayals running parallels and foils with Lily. (Not to mention, those corrupt rulers make the rightful leaders look like the betrayers - cobra and the rain, king riku and the massacre in Dressrosa, the fall of the kozukis and oden’s humiliation)
From those examples and arcs, there are several potential foils for Imu (obviously Blackbeard, but also doffy and even sugar - especially with how childish Imu is portrayed via their language and even size, not to mention potential eternal youth. Also Imu could be undone by G5 toon powers like how Usopp ridiculous’ed sugar out of commission but that’s just a head canon I’m enjoying)
This is way too long so no one will read it but I’m so in awe of Oda and can’t stop talking about his true excellence and craft
Also: I like the idea that the D is something D clan members can grant to others rather than a strict bloodline element.
I wonder, while the readers don’t know how Blackbeard was able to have two fruits at once, Whitebeards crew seemed to already know Blackbeard could, which suggests that someone else has had more than one fruit before…
@@killerfudgetastic definitely looking forward to getting more answers about these two antagonists in particular!
They definitely just send him an edited version or a photo from an angle that doesn't reveal them
We are in the Void month.

Hey Merphy hate to disagree with your theory cause I Love BIG NEWS MORGANS! I would think that Imu/ Five Elders would have edited/cropped out the photo before giving it to Morgan’s.
I don’t think Morgan’s had direct access to the Den Den Mushi.
But still 100% agree that Morgan’s is extremely powerful and has so much more information about the world.

He's certainly having a lot of fun playing with all the chess pieces he's painstakingly set the board with over the last 20 years!!
I honestly can only predict general "directions" for the story rn, the "micro", the details of how things will transpire are genuinely nearly unpredictable 😳 😮 and its ABSOLUTELY addicting to me HAHA
Been watching every single discussion and review, theory on youtube to see what other people are thinking,
But WOW. I find myself daydreaming about the story now more than almost EVER before, and that's coming from a reader of 12 years or so, who's been watching youtube content religiously since like 2016
If oda continues at the pace he's set, this final saga will probably be breathtaking the whole way through 😅
SO EXCITEDDDD (But also SCARED BECAUSE I CANT IMAGINE THIS SERIES ENDING) 😢😢
And on a completely different note, Seraphim Croc looks pretty feminine if you ask me… 👀
Transmasc Crocodile ❤❤
let´s keep crocomom alive
Just to add to this. Modern idea = Universe around the Sun ( Luffy or Complete Freedom )
Old idea = Universe around the Earth ( Imu or Complete Control )
Figarland Garling represent a moon, his hairstyle kinda lit though😂
Croc looks like a boy
D is a clan isn't bound by blood but by an ideal, they raise the banner of Dawn against Imu. so in the future there may be some character that will add a D to their name
Basically what I'm saying is Buggy D. clown will become a reality
Omg you mentioned the part where Vivi worried more about Shirahoshi then herself. It was the one thing that burned into my memory from that chapter.
I also love Vivi. May she team up with the crew for a last bang. The sea calls for her she just needs to answear.
Final Saga definitely living up to the hype so far!
Dope theory 👍
Wait Mars is Mars? I thought Mars was Saturn 🤯
Nice theory👍
I think the 3 ancient weapons might be living beings just like Shirahoshi, with every other planets/stars being living beings and all👀
@@HayabusaRyuu nono Mars is Musk
BIG W FOR VIVI SINCE IT'S CONFIRMED SHE'S PART OF THE D. LEGACY 😭🌊😍💖
Apart from her dad dying haha
It's more like the WG sent the cropped photo to Morgan's for him to run the story framing the Sabo
Sun: Luffy
Moon: Figarland
Mercury/Venus/Mars/Jupiter/Saturn: Five Elders
Neptune/Uranus/Pluto: Ancient Weapons (Who I believe to be represented by the Neptune, Nefertari, and Kozuki family)
SPACE/VOID: IMU
All of these figures (and their families) tie back directly to the Void Century.
Few observations:
- The queens in One Piece have been absolute badasses so far (bear the flag of liberation? so badass)
- In chapter 1060, I found it strange when one of the Gorosei members mentions that it was fate Imu picked Lulusia to destroy since Sabo was there and I thought Imu picked Lulusia BECAUSE Sabo was there.
Whenever your chapter reviews pop up, I will drop everything to watch them!❤❤❤
I think its very likely that the Silhouettes are simply Oda choosing to keep us in the dark on what the elders powers are. Nothing too complicated.
I still love seeing merphy get excited about one piece stuff. Truly one of us.
I'm just so incredibly happy that Vivi's importance skyrocketed and that she is now a major player again. May I even dream and she will rejoin with the Strawhats for one last trip? Vivi certainly never stopped being in my top 5 favorite characters.
it seems like thatll be the case, i think its gonna be a franky case where shell get a bounty so she'll have to join the strawhats
Excuse me! You will address her as Queen.
Since.. ya know.. She’s Queen now
I think mother flame is the source of infinite energy that vagapunk talked about at the beginning of the egg head arc.
Luffy and Vivi have few things in common
1) They complete honest leader
2) They Completely fearless leader
3) they loyal to they friend and family
4) they love adventure
5) they both have Will D in their middle in name
6) They despise celestial dragon For try to attempt to enslave their friend
7)They both lost their family members (Ace and Cobra) to world government
8) they have both have frenmise (Luffy and buggy) (Vivi and Wapol)
9) They both Target by Imu for some reason Imu want to capture Vivi alive
10) Luffy and Vivi have huge role in world Luffy is the new Joyboy Vivi is Descend of Nefertari D Lily
11) they listen to each other, like when Vivi got gunshot. Luffy got angry, and Vivi stopped and him, reminding him of his responsibility as leader Luffy understood what Vivi said and Luffy point out that Vivi need stop take All responsibility by herself alone and let her friends help Share the responsibility with her friends that created Strong deep bond between Luffy and Vivi
12) They care about each other so much when Vivi gone missing Luffy about to go back Alabasta Despite very close to reach his dream also when Vivi Chose the stay behind she was crying and Hope that one they will meet again
Merphy is One with the Piece now and it’s glorious
Oda deserves these 4/5 weeks off for the amount of stuff he has crammed into the egghead arc. Amazing chapter back to back.
So many things have happened in the recent chapters. It's just info after info after info. We get more answers, but even more questions. It still hasn't hit me fully that this is the final saga, but all these revelations are starting to make it real for me. What a journey it has been these past 2 decades. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Its final saga, but Will take five years to finalized at least
I'm gonna say it because nobody else has, I think you look absolutely gorgeous Merphy.😍
So Shanks is an Emperor of the Sea, actually royalty, while being a part of the family that passes judgement over the Celestial Dragons, while being one of the best men in the series, only fighting when he's really left with no other way to resolve a conflict. Such a humble god.
This is the peak of the peak of the peak of One Piece peak, GODA went all out without holding back in the latest two years 😱🥶✨⚡🔥
Wapol smacked Vivi around during the last gathering of the world government royals when she was a child, and she kept a straight face to keep the peace. An afterthought in Wapol’s villain story, but essential for Vivi’s character development.
The fact that Wapol is now the person she escaped the revelrie with following the murder of her father by Imu and the Gorosei (which he witnessed!) is an incredible twist of their fates.
The morgan "croped the wheelchair photo" theory is the most funny and the most brillant thing I ever heard 😅.
13:16 robot voice activated
Actually indeed, Zunesha has been walking for 1000+ years and the formation of the world government (and end of the void century) was 800 years ago
EDIT: nevermind, Zunesha has _lived_ for 1000+ years, and has been walking since around the void century
Luffy responds "then that means that elephant's been alive for an entire millenium!"
And then skimming there's more lines like "this is so cool, a city on the back of a thousand-year old elephant" etc etc
NOW, that's Law as a source and that "nearly" makes it a little vague (though 200 years is a lot to round up), so I kept skimming and FOUND: in chapter 811, when the first straw hats arrive at Zou and Nami gets attacked by Wanda (long haired dog mink), she screams about "how much of our thousand-year history must you destroy before you are satisfied?" (thinking that they are more of Jack's goons)
TO BE ABSOLUTELY FAIR:
Cobra himself questioned why the World Government would censor history in the Alabasta Arc, showing that he is unaware of most of their more unsavory actions throughout history. So it was clear that despite being wise he was still somewhat naive when it came to the WG. Personally, I feel like he shoulda wisened up after Alabasta + the developments in the world since then but its whatever.
Luffy sun god, power of dreams
Imu shadow/moon/void god, power of nightmares
Perfect final fight imo
Egghead island arc just built different, It's crazy!
OP fans: "Egghead is definitely gonna be a chill, cooling off arc after the craziness of Wano."
Oda: "Lore Piece go brrrrrrrr"
Final saga Oda man

Finally someone who shares my thoughts on Vegapunk. What you said about him wanting to advance science no matter what is what I’ve been thinking for so long.
Been waitin for this for a long time finally merphy uploads
Yeah if morgans had access to denden mushi that are located at the throne room
We would know of imu
Im so grateful Merphy started reading one piece.
I like the idea that Vegapunk created something that enables Imu & co to use the ancient weapon.
Heck even like when they were wiretapping Sabo call, they were told to shut off the wiretap and forget about it )
The way I see it, in the aftermath of Sabo escaping, the Gorosei got a a picture (cropped it) and send it to Morgan to spread misinformation they had nothing to do with the killing of Cobra and trying to paint Sabo in a Villain/Enemy of the World paint.
So many ppl missing out on that awesome Lilly = Joyboy = Joygirl Theory!
Finally someone who got the joke. It's Sad Bo. A lot of people are saying Sa. D. Bo.
Regarding the silhouettes, the big one on top is probably Imu itself. I think that you may have missed the fact that Imu transformed just before being hit by Sabo's attack: first its eyes change then it becomes a huge thing that "chomps" the firey attack. Anyway, great video, as usual!
13:47 this is every page I read of One Piece in a single reaction looool
9:30
It could be possible that Morgans received a doctored image from the World Government.
And my day is saved, been waiting for this since the chapter droped😍
I think York is the one that handed the government whatever Vegapunk made, It makes a lot of sense. Explains lots of stuff
You don’t know how much I look forward to your reviews 😮
On the D. discussion I think that its important to remember what Saul said about it "everyone in my family have it but I dont know what it means". In a similar fashion how Law introduces his D. Water names
So I think originally it was inherent will (probably Joyboy), those that knew the meaning and decided to fight for its ideals adopted it (which is probably the case with Lily, initially on the WG side but seeing the mistake adopted the D. at the end)
Those that survived passed down it as a family name, and the ideals of those families make it easier for them to bring greatness even if the meaning was lost to time.
These chapters have been insane
Out of all the theories born from these 2 chaps, the Elders wrapped in Void & thus unable to be perceived normally is on of my Top 5
