"Music Convoy" was a german Show Concept from WDR that brought Live Bands all around the region to bring an event to the folks. The shows were always playback or half playback. everybody knew that and nobody cares because the party atmosphere created with the studio recordings suited the positive atmosphere more than a live act that would have been nearly impossibel to act out because the 3 bands that usually were hired usually never played more than some songs and had to change quickly in the truck. So no need to plug anything here. We always had a great time and as you can see it was packed. It was always for free. Thanks WDR!
Music performances at TV Shows (certainly in the '80s) = always a big chance of playback. Love how they're not even trying to hide it: no microphone (not even a make-belief one), no guitars plugged in, ... Quite funny actually.
As someone who was also at John’s funeral, I too can confirm that Burgess was under strict instructions to stay away. Like Maisie says, it was sad to hear John speak with such anger about someone, it was not in his nature. very sad.
Yes Tell. I'm fed up of not saying anything while Burgess has a go at me every chance he gets. I'm gonna say what I think... Fuck him and Reg and the Cabaret Chameleons. They are an embarrassment to what was a great band. I'm proud of what we achieved but i know a lot more and although I'm not gonna make a habit of you tube comments there are times when i have to retaliate against Burgesses lack of integrity, dignity etc. Anyone who knows me knows am a very private person and don't like to make negative comments but some other pricks make comments I have to say my bit. I did an amazing album with Jack Sobel a very great songwriter and am proud of all the music I have made. I want a peaceful life and have had quite a few years of health issues. I still have fight in me or otherwise Life isn't worth living. I never make negative comments. Always positive but I lost it the other night and felt compelled to put mine and John point of view over. Love to all. World Peace Now! Me and my Ooshka. Xx

This is so bad it's good. I love Mark's approach to this. He said in an interview that he hated to mime, and here we are with this hilariously cheesy video. :) As he said, he works hard to perfect his bass playing skills, so it's not fair that he should have to pretend!
