    Very interesting. I noticed in the beginning, that you seemed to slip into your native language, cool!

    When I learned to do this I thought it was amazing... BUT the written instructions and pictures showed going through the top loop not the front bar. This was the top thread that hadbeen pulled through the stitch last. In Tunisian Crochet it says to go through the front bar and such. I feel like I have been doing it wrong from both ways now.
    BUT.. have created so many beautiful pieces that are One color on one side and another on the other side. So Beautiful and everyone love it... Have I created a new kind of crochet? The instructions were pretty clear in my first double ended crochet hook kit.

      I have always believed there is a traditional way to do crochet and then your own. The reason crochet is as interesting and beautiful as it is is because you can be as creative as you like with it. There is no "crochet police" . :)

    Tunisian also has two hooks. That’s what you use to work in the round.

    @6786april, Absolutely! In fact thats one the easiest project to make with a cro-hook.You can purchase a double ended cable hook for afghan projects. :)

    Actually, you turn for every row, BUT you move the yarn down after you finish using a color. I made 2 rows of each color, so I move the yarn down after I finish the second row of the working color. When I do that, the other color will be waiting for me to pick up at the other end of the hook. Hope that helps!

    You are doing a basic Tunisian stitch using two colors which is also used for acreversible look.

    I am just learning to do this crokniting and I seem to get confused as to when to turn the needle and move to the other end. Is there a simple method to remembering this? Especially when I've put it down and go back to it later.

    I should have watched this video first. I like the way you describe things I like your camera I like your lighting and I think you did a great job. I am hey knitter learning to crochet and someone sent me to these cro hooks. it would be great if you could do an overall video on how to make an Afghan with using this method and the cro hooks. are there others stitches which can be done using these hooks?

    I just seen your video and i want to try this... But i was wondering if i caould make a baby blanket with these hooks? And if so what size of hook do i get?

    • @deannastevens1217
      @deannastevens1217 5 лет назад

      Yes you can. I did one similar for my niece several years ago.. you may need to get a hooks thing that has a string thing in between for excess.... I just used the one I had and squeeZed as many as I needed for the length I wanted. But you can look for what you need on line.

    How big does the double ended crochet hook need to be

    I dislike the blunt end of these needles. And yes I have them

      I totally agree. They have a Boye style head, which I don't like. I always preferred Bates hooks but never found these in Bates style. Now I use Etimo hooks which are a cross between Boye and Bates, but they are more expensive.

    can you do this with the chainless foundation stitch?

    • @smr61754
      @smr61754  9 лет назад

      Reynolds Reynolds Certainly, although your base row will of course look different. I would make a swatch using a foundation stitch along with the Cro-hooking and see if you like the result. :)

    this is a slightly different method than i was taught growing up, but i was only taught to make square or rectangular shapes with my cro hooking, its really too bad i am one of the only people i know who knows how to do this art :(

  • @syndipropst5303
    @syndipropst5303 7 лет назад +1

    You are wrong because Tunisian does have double ended hooks so as to make reversible afgans. There is such a thing. You need to go back and correct yourself on this statement.
