  • Great Western Railway projects director Barry Milsom has taken our 100 Push-ups a Day April challenge to new speeds with his latest round of push-ups.
On 18 April Barry, 51, did his daily push-ups travelling at 125mph on a GWR service. Now that’s what we call high-speed training! 🚄
He’s taken on the challenge in memory of those close to him that have died of bowel cancer. He was just three years old when his mum, Joan, died at the age of 31. His best friend Dave and colleague Trish also died of the disease.
Barry said, “Cancer has already, or will at some point, impact us all. I’ve seen first-hand all the work that Cancer Research UK does, and if everyone donates just £1, it could make the world of difference to millions of people. I like to keep fit anyway, and this seemed like the perfect cause.”
Thank you so much Barry - we’re all behind you for the rest of your challenge. 💙
