I like your canopy. with mine one I overcomplicated. but yours is simple, stable and keeps all together perfectly thanks to proper use of nature forces (and elastic pipes) :-) good job!
Thanks, although when it gets real windy it's not all that stable. Works fine till winds go above 15mph. After a full day it's a blessing to. Have some shade.
if the bimini fabric was some what stretchy you might be able to do with out cross pieces. nice design mate i see pedestal chairs mounted to the floor of these i wonder if a deck umbrella could be
yes. the hand pump, pumps air on both the upstroke and down stroke. its pretty fast for a hand pump. I keep it as a backup as a have bought one the plugs into the truck.
@BackRoomLabs did you have to register this boat before you can use it on a lake? great set up by the way. I like the mods you did :-) I'm thinking of getting one too .
It was 27 dollars from Home Depot. Marine grade 9x5. I had some left over contact cement from a previous project that I used to glue it down. Other wise I seen some containers that would do the job for around $10.
+BackRoom Labs i just find this one on home depot planing to do the same. what you think could work? thanks in advanced! www.homedepot.com/p/TrafficMASTER-Elevations-Color-Ocean-Blue-Ribbed-Indoor-Outdoor-12-ft-Carpet-7PD5N550144H/203240734
+daniel muvdi yes for sure. Any outdoor carpet will work. I got the cheaper stuff. I wanted what you have picked out. The stuff you are looking at will be more comfortable on your ankles n such when you are sitting in the raft. Not that the cheaper carpet hurts. It's just a little uncomfortable after sitting Indian style for some time. Good luck with your build.
Check resent posts for quick description. There's some info that should get you started. It's under replies. Work has been busy. I'll post a more detailed vid soon.
Sorry I haven't posted that vid. Work got real busy. The pipe is cpvc 1/2 inch 4 10ft sticks. Four 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 T's four 1/2 90's. 4 small bolts and 4 wing nuts to match. 4 adjustable bungee cords. Fabric is light weight 9ft x 3 ft. I will eventually post a vid with a better description. This should give you a starting point though.
i thought spring pins were easier to use than bolts, duh i think id rather have a kayak with a trolling motor! yeah i don't have any friends they left with my wife, thank god, no more worries!
I would rather not have those pointless seat cushion things. Instead, have full open hard deck that you can set a REAL chair or two on. Then have an umbrella mount in the middle or some other clever canopy contraption.
I agree the inflatable seats suck. But for a $130 dollar inflatable they are acceptable. I have seen some people put down some Velcro and use fold up seats.
This is absolutely inspired canopy design. Well done man! I am going to steal this idea gladly.
The most rational mod in my opinion. In this mod the roof can be easily extended to the sides, serving it's main purpose: sun protection
Это лучшая установка и изготовление защиты от солнца, которую я встретил в ютубе.

My one is ready.
Used building sheet to close it completely with extra pipes
Used as waterproof tent and slept in it for 2 nights as well

you mentioned you inflated the boat in 15 minutes, was that with the hand pump it came with?
yes. the hand pump, pumps air on both the upstroke and down stroke. its pretty fast for a hand pump. I keep it as a backup as a have bought one the plugs into the truck.

for the roof use a tarp
I had thought about a tarp but tarps or plastic and I didn't want to hear that noise while I was on the boat so I got a fabric
well at least you could find some good fabric
on your roof just go to a tractor supply store a and get some spring pins.
do I sense a hint of sarcasm are you jealous I have an inflatable raft and you don't do you have no friends do you need to get a life suck it bitch
