Well done Alessandro !! You deserve a prize for this movie !!! I think you should consider making a short film in super 8 . Italy is an amazing country with lots wonderful places to shoot . Then you should submit to a movie competition , Netflix or any other webtv application . Not all movies need sound . You are wise enough to score the big prize . Go for it ! I also have one of these cameras in like new condition . I bought it after seeing a video by Jose' Luis Villar on Vimeo .

wow, this is one of only 3-4 super 8 films I've seen on RUclips with this level of clarity, perfect focus.

Just love this footage so much, well done again. Can I ask who does your processing and telecine transfer?

Some of the best results I have seen from super 8. Can you share any more details like the film, any adjustments to camera, processing? This is a winner.

Hi Patrick, the super 8 film are KODAK VISION3 500T and KODAK VISION3 200T negative. There are no special secrets, camera in excellent condition, full manual exposure, amber filter on the lens.

Do you override the built in 85 filter and use your own external filter?

      Hi, external filter.

I just bought an old Canon 1014, not the xl-s one though, hope I can get close to this kind of results.

I have also a Canon 1014. Yes you can get that kind of results but the problem is that all the old film cameras work badly in particular the lightmeter... 🎥😱

I think I got a fully working unit... by the way, the salesman here in Montreal is showing your film to convince and sell his Super-8 stock :) Well done.

Looks amazing Alessandro, well done! Were you shooting at 18 or 24fps?

Your footage looks great! It actually influenced my decision to get a 1014XL-S!! I hope you don't mind me asking a few questions for some advice. I'd really appreciate it!
    1. What sort of maintenance do you do with your camera and how often?
    2. What is your scanning process? 2k? Overscan?
3 Do you use your camera's light meter or an external one?

      Hi
1: Never any kind of maintenance
      2: Full HD 1920x1080
3: I sometimes use an external lightmeter for safety, almost all the super8 cameras i've bought have big exposure issues ... Only this Canon 1024 has the lightmeter that works properly.
