Made this yesterday morning and cut out a large peony petal last night. This morning it is still flexible and holding it's shape very well. Took veining without an issue. The paste rolled extremely thin. I could read through it. It feels like thin plastic, when dried. At least so far. I used vegetable shortening, instead of coconut oil. Thanks so much for this recipe. I've looked a long time for one that doesn't use rice flour!

How long will the flowers last after you make them? I need to make them ahead of time and i wonder about the longevity of the flowers and how to store them. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
Hi. Thanks for the question. 🥰 Yes, this paste is suitable for working with sugar flowers in humid climates. It does not melt during work. And ready-made flowers also tolerate high humidity well.

Do you use the flexible gum paste the same way as the regular gum paste? Is it rolled out and formed the same way or is there something different the way you use it? Thanks in advance.
❤ Hi, I'm living in a high humid climate. Actually it's raining all day long. Can I make flowers out of this and keep for dats. Also will the paste will not get oil depletion due to himid?
Hi! This sugarpaste is quite resistant to both elevated temperatures and excessive humidity. But I do not recommend to set flowers from this sugarpaste on wet cream.
Hello! Thank you! Most likely the reason is glycerin. It is glycerin that allows the finished flowers to remain plastic. Try using a different brand of glycerin.
I'm a little confused. In the description it has listed the quantities but in the very first comments it lists different quantities. Were they updated and which are the best ratios?
But usually I try to prepare a small amount of gumpaste and use immediately. From the leftovers I prefer to make dry bases for flowers, such as drops for a rose from this video: ruclips.net/video/uiGHvOWSa2s/видео.html.
I am glad to meet you. Thank you for having you share a splendid recipe. I have one question. Completed paste can play the granular white lump, but please tell me the right way.
Hello! Thank you for your comment. Such lumps in the sugar paste may be due to the fact that either the powdered sugar or tylose is not finely ground. I have now moved to a new place and am having a hard time finding the right ingredients. You need to use finely ground ingredients, or sift them through a sieve.
Glycerin is necessary for the sugar flowers to remain pliable. Glycerin attracts moisture from the surrounding air and so the flowers will always have soft petals. There is no other substance with similar properties. You can simply omit the glycerin from the recipe, but then the flowers gumpaste will not be flexible.
Hello! The amount of ingredients is also in the description under the video. We will need: cornstarch - 70 gr., very fine powdered sugar - 35 gr., CMC powder (tylose) - 10 gr., glucose syrup or honey - 20 gr., glycerin - 10 gr., coconut oil or crisco - 10 gr., boiling water - 40 gr.
