- As a show of unity to NYCHA residents, HUD Secretary Marcia Fudge visited Queensbridge Houses on April 24 and was joined by Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez, NYCHA interim CEO Lisa Bova-Hiatt and local lawmakers. Sec. Fudge, Ms. Bova-Hiatt and Rep. Nydia Velazquez spoke of the positive examples and work #NYCHA, #HUD and the Biden Administration are doing on behalf of the Authority’s residents.
“Customer service and treating our residents the way we would want to be treated, or the way we would want someone to treat our own families, is something that is very, very important to me,” Lisa Bova-Hiatt said.

Shame on NYCHA billions in funding and I cannot get my tiles down in Lafayette Gardens.
This is just a small talk on a small level. If these 3 people cared about tenants. Go to the court house and pull the records of people who have hpactions and reach out to them. Show support not just conversation. A hug won't stop the chronic conditions in apartment that are caused by decaying pipes, toxic tiles and non compliance vendors.
Too much money spent on contracts and very little work performed!
